Abstract

The use of electrical energy in University is an absolute and unavoidable. Based on data obtained, every year Tadulako University experienced a high increase in electrical energy consumption. The electricity bills of Tadulako University based on data 8 months from January to August 2015 reached Rp.2.567.411.878 that is in average of payment per month of Tadulako University is Rp.322.051.485.At the substation of FISIP electricity usage in January through August 2015 was highest in June reaching 61.750 kWh to the cost of electricity bill as big as Rp.55.575.000. Electric energy audit begins with the historical data collection of electricity biil in the last three years such as : the substation of FISIP on January to August, the data load of electrical equipment, and the spacious rooms supplied. The intensity of energy consumption and the energy-saving opportunities were counted from each supplied rooms of substation FISIP. The result of the calculation of the intensity of energy consumption in detail can be seen throught 160 total rooms if the energy-saving opportunity of 49 rooms is implemented. Therefore, Tadulako University can save the cost of electricity by Rp.30.140.900,73 per month. Abstract

Harmonic is one of sinusoidal components, one wave period from which having multiple frequency of its fundamental frequency one, leading to electrical power quality problems. Harmonic distortion in term of voltage and current ones, generally is due to non linier impedance. Inverter is one of example of it. There are some items that will be measured. There are value of harmonic at  source and value of voltage and current harmonic when inverter does not have any load. IEEE Standard of 519-1992 as a reference in determining maximum limitation voltage and current harmonics. The result of the tests were showed that voltage harmonic distortion at inverter did not exceed the IEEE 519-1992 maximum limitation of 5%. While current harmonic distortion had exceed the maximum limitation of the IEEE 519-1992. The highest results were exceeding 57,52 % when inverter does not have any load. After using passive filter that function for reducing the value of harmonic,  the total harmonic distortion (THD) current w only 6,837%  when inverter does not have any load.   Keywords : Voltage, Current, Harmonic Distortion, Passive Filter.

Abstract

Service provider anggkutan common ground (PO), expeditionary passenger land transport executive, in data processing is still done manually. Therefore, when entering and finding data still requires quite a long time. Therefore we need an application system that can simplify and speed up the search or passenger data collection. Ticket Sales Information System Bureau of Land Transport (PO) is a desktop-based applications. This application is created using Visual Basic programming for database processing. Ticket Sales Information System is composed of 3 (three) main menu, the menu is the menu Master, transactions and reports. Menu Master has a submenu that is menu data driver, route fare menu and a menu list of cars. Tansaksi menu consists of 2 (two) sub-menus namely passenger ticket booking and ticket delivery ordering menu. On the menu reports 4 (four) sub-menu that is based on the date of filling the manifest, passenger manifest persopir, perpriode manifestn certain passenger and the passenger manifest month. Report menu is designed to be able to store data to be viewed at any - time and can print the tickets of passengers and passenger manifest. Keywords: Information Systems, Data Base.

Abstract

The simulation of controlled position dan speed servo motor using Programmable Logic Control (PLC), done by comparate input and output voltage from practical and theory. Abstract

A good lighting system has to meet three criteria; quality and quantity of light and efficient powerconsumption. A good lighting room will help effective activities inside the laboratorium. To achieve an optimum lighting, natural light has to be considered in the installation design. Abstract

Abstract- This research aims to build the academic systems information which is focused in table and inter table relation. Table design and decision of inter table relation are very important in term of creating an information system because those table and relation have influence in system performance and  to avoid data redundancy. Method used in this study is interview with user who involved in the system and retrieve the hardcopy needed. Normalisation is done to the third stage. The conclusion found in this research is that the amount of table used in this system are six and there is no data redundancy. Keywords: database, inter-table relation

Abstract

Teknik desain assembly (DFA) sudah lama dan sering digunakan pada industry untuk meningkatkan kualitas, mengurangi biaya, dan memperpendek waktu siklus proses manufaktur dari komponen dan produk. Paper ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dari piston pneumatic dengan mendesain ulang masing-masing komponen produk dalam hubungannya dengan waktu handling, inserting dan assembling. Dengan kata lain, beberapa modifikasi termasuk sejumlah komponen, pergantian material, dan waktu assembly. Efisiensi dari komponen produk yang dibuat meningkat secara signifikan dari 25,9% ke 67,45%. Efisiensi komponen tersebut meningkat dengan kenaikan hampir 50 % yang menghasilkan sisi ekonomi produk di pasaran. Keywords:  design component, assembly time and product developed, piston pneumatic.

Abstract

Almost people in Indonesia ever seen quiz who wants to be millionaire. That quiz is sometimes using a polling method to get the right answer. Audience at studio must help a quiz’s participant by using keypad to get a right answer. Audience must push the button of   keypad where there is choice of answers. After that the answer will be display in a bar graph of percent. This called electronic polling system. With the aim of the research is to design and build a polling system with 6 slave-based serial RS-485, USB and microcontroller RISC and design and build a control system based serial RS-485, USB and microcontroller RISC efficient. The method used in this research is to study the reference, namely collecting materials that can be used as a reference, observation and study references required, inventory problems and needs in the design and manufacture, design and manufacture of hardware, software design and manufacturing, and perform testing. RS-485 is standard for communication with very long cable. This standard can use cable almost 1,2 Km long. RS-485 is very unique, this standard using master slave method. So only the master can control slave. Slave is using a microcontroller to manage data. AVR ATtiny2313 is a good microcontroller for slave. This is microcontroller very small and very fast. Base from design, implementation and test result indication implement of  RS-485 at polling system can be handle of case distance between master and slave. Abstract

This paper presents a method to control Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) at high speed above the based speed. To control PMSM from zero speed up to base speed, the armature voltage of the motor may be varied up to maximum voltage allowed of the inverter used. In this region the stator voltage will increases with the increases of motor speed reaches the based speed, motor voltage cannot increase anymore because of saturation and consequently motor speed cannot be increase more highly. In order motor to control the motor above base speed, it is can be done by weakening the field flux of the rotor. As the rotor made of permanent magnet, then filed weakening control cannot be done directly. The control of field-weakening effect is done by controlling stator current vector of direct axix, which is variable with speed. Abstract

Sigi is one of the youngest district in Central Sulawesi province was divided in 2008. Of the 152 villages, 10 villages are experiencing conflicts between residents. Bora Village and Village Vatunonju which is approximately 20 km from the city of Palu is 2 villages among the 10 villages that are often in conflict. Sources of conflict in general stems from a fight between youth. Increasing the number of teenagers who drop out of school temporarily limited employment is one of the problems that often lead to fights among youth. The low work skills possessed by the youth of this area is an issue that must look for solutions so that they can open up and explore job opportunities. This training aims to provide job skills for young people who are still out of school age. With a working capital given the skills they are expected to open and fill vacancies in areas Sigi continues to build. The training activities carried out for 8 months and was attended by 20 people. After the activity the participants are able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel. Although not all of the material provided can be controlled but this training provides many benefits. Especially for trainee electrical installations are already some people who often help people when there are problems in their electrical istalasi, there's even working at the company electrical installer.
