Abstract

The study aims to design decision support system using triangular fuzzy number approach in Analytic Hierarchy Process method. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the decision support system method which controls experiences and intuition but critical at coupled comparative scales because it uses crisp. A triangular fuzzy number is used to approach AHP scale so as to obtain more fexible value of coupled comparison. The triangular fuzzy number-AHP method uses analysis synthetic extent in the priority processing implemented on ranking cases of potential acceptors of scholarship of PPA and BBM in Technic Faculty Tadulako University of Palu. The result is the average of mismatch between the result by triangular fuzzy number-AHP method and the result of manual work which are 23.93% of the PPA scholarship and 27,35% of the BBM scholarship.   Keyword :Triangular Fuzzy Number, Analytic Hierarchy Process, scholarship

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the replacement of lighting (fluorescent or TL lamps, incandescent) with energy efficient lighting towards payment of electricity accounts Untad which has now reached an average of Rp 79,676,246 per month. Data on the number and type of lighting used in this study, obtained from the equipment Untad. From the existing data is known that fluorescent lamps 40 watts of power still dominates its use when compared with energy-saving lamps. Spread usage of these lights in the room numbering approximately 708 rooms in Untad environment. The calculation of savings done by looking at the difference in cost between the energy-saving lamps with other lamps for 12,000 hours of lighting the flame. Results showed that by replacing all fluorescent lamps (TL lamps), incandescent bulbs with energy-efficient lighting can reduce electricity Untad payment of Rp 4,396,015 per month or as much as Rp 52,752,180 per year. If adjusted to the age of the lamp will be a savings of USD 253,650,065 while the investment cost of energy saving light bulbs should be issued to replace the entire lamp is only about USD 144.75 million.   Keywords : saving energy,  fluorescent lamp, saving energy lamp.

Abstract

Stability of electrical system is one of system’s characters that make some machines can operate together in one frequency even there are some interrupts in normal condition or make them back into previous condition either in new or old equilibrium. Some variables that have to be observed are angel of rotor δ,  speed of rotor ω, and voltage source of generator vt . In this paper, simulation was done in IEEE 14 bus system at steady state condition, dynamic condition and adding of PSS as a stability tool. The result was PSS could make the system became stable even in new point of equilibrium. Keywords : stability of electrical power system, PSS, angel of rotor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of energy use and savings opportunities that can be obtained from a room based on IKE value. The intensity of energy consumption (IKE) is a term that used to determine levels of energy consumption in a building. IKE value is calculated based on the number of electric power used by all existing electrical equipment in a room and then divided by the area of the room. To find out how much energy usage level of a room or a building IKE value calculations and compared with the standard IKE value. IKE value will determine the criteria of a room using electricity in this category can be wasteful or not in use electrical energy. When the results were equal to or less than the target IKE, the energy audit activities can be stopped or continued with the hope that IKE values obtained Lower again. The results showed that of the 708 rooms have been evaluated including 136 belonging to wasteful use of electricity, with the savings opportunities that can be done as much asRp 17.686.222 per month.   Keywords : energy audit, energy consumption intensity.

Abstract

Abstract - kWh-meter as an each hour electrical energy consumption measurer is still using conventional tools which only records the amount of electrical energy used in each hour. By using AT89S52 microcontroller and optocoupler sensor, the conventional kWh-meter was modified to be a measurer which is not only display s the amount of the used electrical energy but also shows the value of money in rupiahs that should be paid by the customer. The principle of how this system works is PLN as a power source of kWh-meter moves the disc of kWh-meter when it is in the underload condition. When the disc spin and pass the optocoupler sensor, the sensor will turn on. Each time the disc cuts the beam of light, the sensor will instruct the microcontroller, the main controller, to process the execution instruction. This execution instruction results in the reading of both a number of rounds per kWh and an amount of rupiahs display ed in LCD.   Keywords : kWh-meter, microcontroller, optocoupler

Abstract

This research promoted the topic concerning the interaction technique using virtual hand in Augmented Reality environment (AR). AR uses tracker library that use marker to know the human gesture. With the kind of interaction i.e. manipulation of the model, manipulation of the street, button pressing, and duplicate the model, virtual hand could become an alternative in augmented reality’s environment. This study produces that to do all the kind of interaction stated above, we only need two finger to interact with. At the end, this virtual hand aimed to able to do such a basic interaction in the world of augmented reality. Keyword : augmented reality, virtual hand,  natural movement.

Abstract

Network Planning and infrastructure development at Kantor Otoritas Pelabuhan Penyeberangan (KOPP) has not reach mature level and causing overlap for Information Technology (IT) investment, unclear goals and it become less optimal.  Therefore transportation ministry has to design a blue print of network infrastructure to achieve IT Governance and E – Governance strategy. Scope of this research is to design information system enterprise architecture at land tansportation directorat of KOPP to develop infrastructure for head office. Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) is a methode used for designing its infrastructure that has ability to define architecture process to use information for businees supporting and provide plan to implement the architecture. EAP blue print used to build and it helped KOPP to solve problem in architecture information system planning especially for application infrastructure component, data infrastructure and network infrastructure. Abstract

This research is intended to design software that is able to simulate the basic commands of the computer network. Simulation program is planned to serve for people who do not understand about computer networks and have a strong desire learning the basics of computer networks. The design result of this research is command  of ping, telnet, ftp, route, and ifconfig. The design of the simulation program also produces 10 units or classes that contain the components of the specific activity or program. Abstract

The using of alternative energy as a power source is intended to solve the problems of electricity supply which has not reached the entire region of Central Sulawesi province, especially in Sigi regency. The utilizing of hybrid system of solar and wind power is a solution that can be considered as a source of electrical energy which the solar cell is used as the primary source, whereas wind turbines can be used as a complementary source when solar irradiance cannot meet load requirements. This research aims to design and build alternative sources of electrical energy which is based on hybrid system of solar and wind power by taking into account the geographical factors of place where the system is built.Keywords: hybridsystem of solar and wind power, solar cells, wind turbine.

Abstract

By using PSAT application, which simulates SVC for voltage drop improvement across an electric power system, a good performance will be produced. The better an electric power system, the smaller voltage drop that occurs in the system. This study aims to improve the voltage drop across the feeder of Raflesia rayon Palu. By inspecting the result of discussion, it can be known that by simulating the installation of SVC, which is contained in PSAT application, a small voltage drop is obtained.
