Abstract

Immunization plays a significant role in reducing the mortality rate for children under five. Immunization has been proven to be an efficient and effective health effort in preventing and reducing morbidity, disability, and death due to diseases that can be prevented by immunization. Increasing the coverage of immunization needs to be considered by the government by involving the community and health offices, and other stakeholders.  Health centers should provide immunization services considering the immunization guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring adequate health workers (vaccinators).  Provide information about safe immunization services and coordination and collaboration with stakeholders (private and public sectors).

Abstract

Background: Hypertrophic scars are abnormal scars resulted from a disrupted wound healing process. Hypertrophic scars can affect the body aesthetic of the sufferers, but, on the other hand, conventional therapy has not been optimally effective. The application of essential oil combinations as an alternative therapy for hypertrophic scars has not been scientifically proven.Purposes: This study was to determine the effectiveness of the essential oil as a hypertrophic scar therapy. Methods: This study used a pre and post-test design. As many as 24 subjects aged 17-25 years with hypertrophic scars were given essential oil combinations every morning and evening for six months. Assessment of hypertrophic scars was done using the POSAS  (Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale). Results: The results showed that the POSAS score decreased after the essential oil combination administration for six months, 14.40±6.08 vs. 22.67±8.31 (p<0.001).Conclusion: the combination of essential oil oils used in this study reduces hypertrophic scars based on the POSAS assessment.

Abstract

Background: Data on miscarriage in pregnant women with COVID-19 are still limited, as well as the mechanism that causes miscarriage in women with COVID-19. This study aims to report the mechanism of miscarriage that occurs in patients with COVID-19 from various literature.Case presentation: We reported a case of miscarriage occurred in a woman aged 28 years, 11-week pregnancy with COVID-19 in Batin Mangunang Regional General Hospital, Lampung Province, Indonesia. Conclusion: Pregnant women infected with COVID-19 are at risk for miscarriage.

Abstract

Background: The current fat suppression technique in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) significantly diagnoses abnormalities in musculoskeletal disorders. The spectral attenuated inversion recovery (SPAIR) fat suppression (FS) technique had an inversion delay (ID) parameter that allows choosing between full or partial FS. This was the first research related to the optimal setting of the ID time variation in the SPAIR technique on T2-weighted MRI wrist joint images. Objectives: This study aims to find out anatomical information with the most optimal ID value of the MRI wrist joint image T2 turbo spin-echo (TSE) FS SPAIR coronal slice sequence.Method: This study was a pre-experimental post-test only. Scanning MR wrist joint 16 volunteers took data with the qualitative analysis used three radiologists (visual grading) with statistical data analysis. Results: Image information of the MRI wrist joint T2 TSE FS SPAIR coronal slices sequence showed differences in the variation of ID (p<0.001), where the ID of 85 ms produced the most optimal image information. Conclusion: MRI image of the wrist joint of the T2 TSE FS SPAIR coronal slices sequence the most optimal with an ID variation of 85 ms compared to ID 70 ms and 100 ms.

Abstract

Background: Data on the incidence of COVID-19 is reported to be increasing day by day. It impacts the health of health workers both physically and mentally; several previous studies have found that counseling can help reduce anxiety. Other studies have also proven that remembrance therapy can reduce stress levels, but the effectiveness of e-counseling has not yet been tested. Objectives: This study was to determine the effect of e-counseling to reduce stress on nurses in special wards COVID-19.Method: The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a total sample of 58 people, 29 intervention samples, and 29 control samples. Sampling using non-probability sampling and data collection using a questionnaire which was analyzed with the Independent Sample T-Test.Result: After e-counseling therapy was carried out, the stress level of nurses could decrease significantly from 7.448 to 6.311. There were significant differences in stress levels in the intervention and control groups (69.59±6.311 vs. 49.83±8.824; p<0.05).Conclusion:  E-Counseling has a very significant effect on reducing the stress level of nurses in special wards COVID-19.

Abstract

Background: Currently, the splint used in the hospital is not yet practical; it still requires a long installation time and causes the child to experience anxiety when the infusion is installed. Thus, a limb splinting innovation is needed to ease nurses' inserting the needle infusion and reduce young patients' anxiety.Technic: This splint uses a wood material covered with foam, wrapped in a cotton fabric having cartoon printing, and it has an adhesive cloth at its bottom. It has a hole at the top to monitor the needle that goes into the vein. Conclusion: This innovative splint is proven to be easier to use to fix the infusions in children. It is safer and more comfortable. It indeed can reduce anxiety symptoms in children during the infusion.
