Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Public Relations and Protocol of the Badung Regency DPRD in maintaining the performance and image of the Badung Regency DPRD. Badung DPRD Public Relations plays a fairly important role in the correlation of internal and external relations. The activities of the leaders and members of the board are always publicized and will certainly cause stigma from the community. To suppress bad things, Badung Regency DPRD Public Relations needs to have a strategy in carrying out its duties and functions. This research was made to find out the strategy used by the Public Relations and Protocol Coordinator of the Badung Regency DPRD and the researchers participating as participant observers, so that the research could be more focused. This research is a descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of participant observation, interviews and supported document data which will be processed later. The results of this study indicate that the Public Relations, Protocol and Publication of the Badung Regency DPRD carry out their role very well, namely building functional relationships with the public, both institutionally by establishing partnerships with the media such as mass media, print and online in order to publish news on DPRD activities. Abstract

This study was made to answer about how the meaning and message of Slinat's mural acts as a political communication. In Slinat mural works, synonymous with the form of protest or criticism with the message and meaning in it. In answering these research questions, researchers will use Roland Barthes ' semiotics theory supported by the concept framework, namely; street art and political communication. This type of research is qualitative with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis research method. From the findings of the data and analysis that researchers have done, it was found that the message and meaning contained in each mural Slinat many refer to protest and criticism. Dominated by murals about the state of Bali, especially in Bali Tourism. Slinat took the streets as an alternative media, and every new artwork on the streets for him was an information and street art became an alternative communication media connecting people's aspirations Keyword: Street Art, Political Communication, Slinat, Semiotics

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the political communication strategy of greeting mutual cooperation became a winning instrument for I Nyoman Gede Sumara Putra in the 2019 Denpasar City legislative election. The theory of political communication by Harold D. Lasswell was used as an analytical knife using qualitative methods through interviews, the results obtained research as follows: I Nyoman Gede Sumara Putra conveys a political message based on mutual cooperation stalls that can help the economy of residents in each banjar with a direct approach to the people of North Denpasar with the help of a mutual cooperation team and mande volunteers as well as through social media and print media so that they are elected as members the Denpasar City legislature for the 2019-2024 period with the acquisition of 4,145 votes, with the most votes obtained in Ubung Kaja Village with 2,455 votes.

Abstract

In dealing with spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, Indonesian government enforced a policy of Restrictions on Community Activities (Emergecy PPKM). This policy impacted the economic decline of Indonesian people significantly. A month after PPKM was implemented, several culinary vendors in Malioboro raised white flags as a way to knock Yogyakarta governmen’s heart for help. The purpose of this study is to find out the result of the collective action of raising the white flags carried out by culinary vendors in Malioboro. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods and studied by Neil J. Smelser's theory of collective action. The result of this research is the act of raising white flags in Malioboro was just collective action not a resistance movement of vendors in Malioboro to Yogyakarta government. The impact received by traders is basic food assistance from various parties and other assistance after the collective action carried out.

Abstract

MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Exhibition) or known as convention tourism is part of the tourism industry which aims to attract both foreign and domestic tourists to carry out tourism activities in Indonesia. PT Dyandra Promosindo as one of the largest MICE business actors in Indonesia plays an important role in the advancement of the MICE industry and also works together with the government in the growth of tourism in Indonesia. In this article, the researcher uses the associative research method which is obtained in the form of sentences and observations. This research focuses on the mutual relationship between the two parties studied, namely PT Dyandra Promosindo and the government, as well as the impact of this collaboration on the wider community. The results of the analysis show that PT Dyandra Promosindo plays an active role in efforts to advance Indonesian tourism and fully supports government programs through events organized by PT Dyandra Promosindo, as well as mutual relations between PT Dyandra Promosindo and the government. Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of subsidized fertilizer policies and community responses related to the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers in Sugihan village, Merakurak district, Tuban regency. Merille S. Grindle's theory of policy implementation is used to analyze the success of a policy whether or not it is successful in terms of the content and context of subsidized fertilizer policies, in addition to that joel S. Mighdal's Theory of State in Society is used to analyze the ability of the government as a policy maker who is unable to provide appropriate sanctions due to the limitations of the government. By using qualitative research methods through interviews, the conclusions of the research results were obtained, namely the procurement and distribution of subsidized fertilizers has been regulated in Permendag number 15 / M-DAG / Per / 4/2013 administratively but in Sugihan village it violates the rules of the government, namely farmer groups sell outside the regional zone and outside the members of their farmer groups and Tuban Regent Decree number 188.45/12/KPTS/414.012/2022 concerning Allocation and HET for the agricultural sector of Tuban regency, the amount of procurement that is not in accordance with the realization causes scarcity and gets a response from the loby farmer elite directly to hoard subsidized fertilizer and this is used by the head of the farmer group to sell fertilizer prices above HET. Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the Secretariat Organization of the Badung Regency DPRD based on policy analysis. The researcher hopes that through this research it will be possible to find out how the Secretariat Organization of the Badung Regency DPRD achieves its goals based on policy analysis. Does the performance carried out by the Secretariat Organization at the Badung Regency DPRD refer to the goals to be achieved? The research method used in this study is a qualitative research methodology. The results of this study indicate that the organizational structure of the Badung Regency DPRD secretariat has the authority to make policies based on their respective scope of work and still refers to the main objectives of the secretariat structure of the Badung Regency DPRD itself. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to determine the commodification of Joged Bumbung dance toward eroticism, market onslaught, and patriarchal culture by using the invention of tradition theory proposed by Hobsbawm (2003). The study is using qualitative research methods, therefore the interview is conducted through some informants who work as the head of the Joged Bumbung studio and some dancers of Joged Bumbung. The results of this study are first, the Joged Bumbung performance has been modified due to demands from market ideology. Second, there are several combinations performed by the studio and the dancers of Joged Bumbung in gamelan and movement by mixing with national and pop arts. Third, the emersion of female pengibing phenomenon as the market control and patriarchal domination. Fourth, there are differences in the management system of the studio and seka in the job security guarantee for the Joged Bumbung dancers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategy of the SADIA pair in mobilizing voters through guraklih at the 2020 Bangli district election. Furthermore, this research is framed using the theory of Political Strategy from Peter Schroder. The results of this study are: guraklih is a voter mobilization team made by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, PDI-P). This guraklih succeeded in moving voters around 30% of the total votes for the SADIA pair in the 2020 Bangli Regency Pilkada and there were also factors that influenced the formation of guraklih in Bangli Regency such as the lack of public interest in going to TPS, bad weather during the regional elections, and some geographical difficulties in Bangli Regency such as the number of highlands existed. Abstract

This research seeks to see how the trend of female Incumbents in Pilkades in Karangasem Regency forms a new structure in society where women have a high bargaining position in the village head election battle arena which is dominated by men. By using the Habitus approach from Pierre Bourdieu, the author sees that the capital of each agent, namely I Gusti Ayu Biksuni and Ni Putu Dewi Suryanti, was one of their successes in fighting in the Pilkades arena. The capital is; educational, social and cultural background, the Incumbent status of the two women, their activism during their tenure which went down to the community so that they became close to their citizens, then the supporting role which was also the parties in power in the election battle. Author found there was a positive trend related to the position of women in the political area in the village head order. Keywords: Incumbent, Women, Pilkades
