Abstract

The demand for shrimp from Indonesia continues to increase every year, thus creating greater interest in the shrimp farming industry. Although shrimp is relatively easy to farm, many variables affect the success of the harvest. The harvest in shrimp farming is calculated using % SR (Survival Rate). In our research, we used machine learning approaches, namely decision tree (DT) and k-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). DT and KNN will be used to predict whether we will have a successful harvest. From these predictions, we also provide suggestions for business improvements to utilize data. The expected result of such advice is that the business can improve its performance and get more consistent results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of selection quality on employee competencies with intrinsic motivation and integrity as mediating variables. This research method was carried out at the Yogyakarta Police with a sample of 148 respondents, using a questionnaire prepared on a Likert scale of 1 to 5, to measure how much the causality relationship between selection quality variables, integrity, intrinsic motivation, and competence was analyzed using AMOS SEM. The results of the study show that the quality of selection has a positive and significant effect on the integrity and intrinsic motivation of employees in the DIY Police. Integrity and intrinsic motivation have been shown to play a role as mediators in the relationship between selection quality and competence. Specifically, the quality of good selection increases integrity and intrinsic motivation, which in turn contributes to the improvement of employee competence. However, the quality of selection does not have a direct effect on competence, but through an indirect influence through these mediation variables. These findings confirm the importance of proper selection in improving employee competencies through increased integrity and intrinsic motivation. The conclusion of this study is that the quality of selection has a positive effect on integrity and intrinsic motivation, which in turn improves employee competence. The influence of selection quality on competence occurs indirectly through the mediation of integrity and intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

In Indonesia, conflict over norms or disharmony in laws and regulations is a legal problem that often occurs. This is motivated by the existence of several legal mechanisms that overlap between the regulations below and the regulations above. As happened in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province between customary law and positive law, which in this case is Qanun law. In this article, we will discuss efforts to harmonize norms between customary law and Qanun in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam using descriptive qualitative methods. Efforts to resolve disharmony in statutory regulations are resolved by several alternatives, namely: 1) Right to Judicial Review of Legislative Regulations; 2) Constitutional Route; 3) Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 23 of 2018 concerning Harmonization of Draft Ministerial Regulations, Draft Regulations of Non-Ministerial Government Institutions, or Draft Regulations from Non-structural Institutions by Legislative Regulation Makers issued by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights; 4) Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 2 of 2019 concerning Resolving Disharmony in Legislative Regulations Through Mediation.
