Abstract

Earthquake is an unpredictable natural phenomena in occurance which has harmfull consequences. In high magnitude, it can cause other disaster i.e. tsunami which result in hard demage infrastructure and loss of population. One can not determine earthquake presence exactly, however can estimate earthquake prone zone, major hard demage zone, and next earthquake presence. They can be estimated through hypocentre determination and earths model. Velest is an JHD ((Join Hypocentre Determination) based method which applies all events to inverted simultaneously and results true hypocentre of earthquake. In other hand, Velest can determine one dimensional earths model based P and S wave travel time data. Then, earths characteristic can be determined by ISOLA. It is able to provide an imaging of fault in a research area through moment tensor. Both Velest and ISOLA applies in this research. Arrival time of P wave is analized by STFT and CWT algorithm. Then, Velest applies to earthquake events relocation while ISOLA applies to determine earths characteristic (fault) inSouthern Sumatra. This research note that velest is able to determine true hypocentre of earthquake well and one dimensional earth model of South Sumatra. In other hand, moment tensor of 4 events show geometry of fault in Souther Sumatra is dip-slip.

Abstract

This study has been applied to calculate Coulomb stress distribution using Coulomb 3.3 software. Increasing the value of Coulomb stress changes indicated accumulation of stress on rocks. The data is taken from the catalog of ISC (International Seismological Center) and Global CMT (Global Centroid Moment Tensor). The results of data processing is an increase in Coulomb stress in the South of Java Island with a ranges 0.01-1 kPa and allegedly caused the accumulation of stress due to tectonic earthquake that leads to the volcano.

Abstract

Five earthquakes source parameters in Sumatra have been estimated that occurred on May 3rd, 13th , 18-20th 2008, which earthquakes magnitude was over 5.4 Mw. To determine the earthquakes source parameters, we used three components local waveform. The seismogram data are inverted to achieve the earthquake source parameters. To investigate the depths of earthquakes, the determination used the highest value of variance reduction of waveform analysis. To identify the fault plane of the earthquakes, the H-C method is used. The research calculates also the length and width of the Fault planes.

Abstract

Research on termoelectric generator for accu charging has been done to know the effect of different use of sield (heating system framework) between plywood and aluminum on TEG heating system. Besides that also to know how much time needed for charging accu as TEG application. This research is focused on making more efficient heating systems, which is done by increasing the efficiency of the TEG module in generating voltage. In this research, it can be concluded that the update of heating system using Alumunium sield can increase the output voltage of the thermoelectric generator by 4.435% compared to the previous research using TEG type SP184827145SA. While the application of charging Accu using TGPR-1W-2V-21S can produce a voltage of 6 ± 0.05 Volt with a currentof 0.43 ± 0.015 Ampere which requires a duration of charging time of 10 hours.

Abstract

This research aims were to make and characterize DSSC using anthocyanin sensitizer from rosella (hibiscus sabdariffa) petals, to know the effect of electrolyte concentration and soaking time in dye extract on solar cell's efficiency, and to know the amount of electrical current produced by DSSC from direct sunlight and 150 watt halogen lamp. This research included the production of TiO2 paste, dye solution preparation from rosella petals, electrolyte solution preparation, counter-electrode carbon preparation, DSSC fabrication, testing, and characterization. Research results showed that DSSC could be made by combining inorganic matter such as TiO2 and organic dye from rosella flower extract. The highest efficiency was produced by 30 minutes soaking time. In direct sunlight, the highest efficiency (0,52%) was produced from the electrolyte concentration of 0,5M. Meanwhile, in 150 watt halogen lamp, the highest efficiency (0,49%) was produced from the electrolyte concentration of 0,3M. The DSSC was able to convert solar energy to electrical energy from sunlight and 150 watt halogen lamp with the maximum electrical current of 0,28 mA and 0,09 mA respectively. Therefore, it could be concluded that the main characteristics that determine solar cells performance were structure, type of dye (light absorbance characteristic), electrolyte solution concentration, and the source of light.

Abstract

In this paper, we review that Reissner-Nordstr¨om metric is the solution of Einstein gravitational field equation. Reissner-Nordstr¨om solution describes spacetime outside a static spherically symmetric charged mass. To solve the field equation, we calculate all the non-zero components of Einstein tensor and energy-momentum tensor of the electromagnetic field of the charged object. One finds that the Reissner-Nordstr¨om metric is also a charged static black hole solution in Einstein-Maxwell theory.

Abstract

In this research, system design electrocardiogram (EKG) that is equipped with a QRS interval determination system automatically. ECG systems created using arduino and computer. The results of this research are implemented using software processing. Cardiac signal data used in this research were taken of patients. To determine the QRS interval, the first is the determination of the peak position R. Peak position R is then used to determine the position of the point Q and the position of the point S. Result for accuracy determination QRS interval in this research amounted to 95.89%.

Abstract

A study about detection of atrial fibrillation using electrocardiogram and fuzzy inference system (FIS) has been succesfully conducted. Statistical features of RR interval is used and they are mean and standard deviation of RR interval. FIS architecture is optimized by variation number of features, FIS membership function and defuzzification methods. Based on experimental result, the best FIS architecture in FA detection is which uses both statistical features (RRave and RRstd) at once, with gaussian membership functions and mean of maxima deffuzification method. The best architecture performances are 81,55%, 82,12% and 81,93% in terms of sensitivity, specificity and accuracy, respectively.

Abstract

Noise that we experienced daily are mainly caused by industry, train, plane, and traffic activity. Nowadays, traffic are the min cause for noise, because the noise caused by traffic have systemic cause, meanwhile other source of noise are rather local. Anyone that have activity whether its outside or inside a building near a traffic dense road will be affected by the noise. Noise will affect to the deteriorating of the hearing and child concentration. Khadijah school is one of the school that heavily affected by traffic noise. The school sit near a heavy traffic road, which caused a lot of noise. From the sound pressure level (SPL), the noise caused by the traffic reached 87 dB. The noise criteria (NC) in the parking area of the school reach 78 dB, while inside the school the NC reach 70dB. While according to some research and regulation, the NC in school area should be around 55dB. By analyzing the faade of the classroom wall, its found that the wall have great noise reduction. The faade is made from double wood door with 3cm thickness, 3mm glass windows, and brick wall with 10cm thickness. The material used in the building are up to standard, but it need some adjustment. The first adjustment should be adding an insulation material on the hallway that connected directly to the noise source the second adjustment should be minimalizing the gap in the door and windows by using a rubber so that the noise couldnt pass through the gap.

Abstract

This article is about fabrication of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) using mixture of anthocyanin and chlorophyllas fotosensitizer. Mixing dye aims to widen the absorbance area of natural dye.Anthocyanin is extracted from red cabbage andchlorophyll from spinach leaves with maseration methode. Mixture composition of dye anthocyanin:chlorophyll varying at 1:3, 1:1, and 3:1. Composition variation is performed to determine the effect of absorbance change on the efficiency of DSSC. Optic characterization using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and electric characterization using I-V meter. The characterization result showed that rasio 1:3 hasthe highest absorbance at wavelength 400 nm to 450 nm with highest efficiency 0,15%.
