First published in 2008 and regularly published two (2) times a year, in May and in November. Since 2014 this journal began in the online. The script that is loaded is the original manuscript, not yet published in any publication. Scripts can be articles, research results, scientific ideas as well as book reviews. Editors receive from the author of the Madrasah, universities, research institutions and other agencies concerned with the Islamic Community Development.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to analyze importanceof managerial supervision in improving schoolperformance. Based on the results, it can beconcluded that the supervisor plays a verystrategic in performing managerial supervisionfunctions in the school or madrasah. Asmanagerial supervisor, he is required to have theknowledge, attitudes, and skills in managementand leadership, so that it can play a role and itsfunction in assisting the headmasters in managing theresources of the school or madrasah efficientlyand effectively. Therefore, the regulation ofsupervisor criteria should be applied immediatelyto improve the the order of education in generaland school development in particular.

Abstract

This paper explores the meaning of the Qur'anverses that contain the concept of teachers andeducators employee management functions. Fromthis paper found that: First. The concept of planningare: (1) Al-Hashr: 18, that the man was told to planhis lunch for tomorrow; (2) Al-Baqarah: 197,concerning the obligation to plan carefully based onpiety to Allah. Second. Organizing concept containedin: (1) Al-Anfal: 46, about the importance of unity inall actions; (2) Ash-Shaff: 4, about the importance ofregularity; (3) Ali Imran: 159, on the order toapproach the meek and deliberation. Third. Theconcept of encouragement contained in Al-Kahf: 2,about the importance of the guidance process that isbased on religious principles. Fourth. The concept ofsupervision are: (1) Al-Mujadalah: 7, about themuraqobah; (2) Ash-Shaff: 2, absolute requirementfor leaders to be better than its members; (3) At-Tahrim: 6, about maintaining the safety.

Abstract

The existence of pesantren’s education in Indonesiamakes people happy because its amount is rising andgrowing more and more. But, pesantren alsoundergo the change of educational system asgrowing era nowadays. A part of them keep theirsalafiyah educational style, and others standcooperatively with change. However, as pesantrenare growing rapidly, it appears a lot of problems andquestions, why is the rising number of pesantren notcomparable with the number of ulama cadresproduced? It is caused by some factors, they arepracmatic educational formalization, short studyingtime, dinamic societies' demands, and less spiritualapproaches. So, it needs some sistematicallyreconstructions, such as institutional reconstruction,the goal of pesantren itself and the curriculum. Thisis a part of innovation spirit and also sincerity tokeep pesantren's soul which is 'fort of producingulama cadres'. However, it agrees with the statement“almuhafadoh ala qodimissholih wal akhdudu biljadidil aslah'” (to keep old traditions and to take newbetter circumtances).

Abstract

One of learning model which need to beconsidered by educators is a model learningcommunity method, namely talking and sharingexperiences each others, cooperating each otherand creating enhanced learning than by self wherestudents were placed as a subject of study. Inaddition, students also make the processmeaningful activity, where students discuss withtheir friends or sharing information among themand asking the teacher to guide on a subject wherethe teaching materials are considered difficulty, sothe process of learning more effective andmotivate, This research is the development ofcommunity learning models in learning English toincrease student achievement at SMP Banda Acehand Aceh Besar. The Results of the study wascommunity learning model can improve theEnglish language skills and students’ achievementsthrough training as continuously, systematic andimplemented in school and society

Abstract

The Islamic education has two dimensions: toacquire intellectual knowledge (through theapplication of logic and reasoning) and developspiritual knowledge (gained from divine revelationand spiritual experiences). God is the centre andfocus of education; hence to be educated aMuslim means to be devoted to attaining thepleasure of God. This should result in piousactions that would enable the Muslim to drawcloser to God. The aim of education is thecreation of the good and righteous man whoworships Allah in the true sense of the term,builds up the structure of his earthly life accordingto the Syaria and employs it to subserve his faith.The purpose of spiritual education is expected tofind, nurture and develop individual relationshipsverticalharmonious; until (wushūl) to God withfidelity to Him alone, implementing Islamicmorality exemplified by the Prophet based on theideals of the Qur’an.

Abstract

Acculturation and assimilation are two very importantconcepts in sociology and anthropology that describecross cultural effects on both minorities as well asmajorities in societies that are multi ethnic and multicultural in nature. There are two different views aboutthe tendencies of acculturation and asimiliasi in thecontext of inter-ethnic interaction. Two trends thatview is constructed two models of ethnic identity,ethnic Exclusive and Inclusive. Exclusive assessethnicity as ethnic tribes should be given priority,assess ethnic inclusive as a rival, and that sometimes,hampering the progress of ethnic for acculturation andassimilation. Because of exclusive ethnic tend to keepa distance, on the contrary, the inclusive one judgehimself has an equal position to the other.

Abstract

Indonesia is multi-ethnics, culture and religions,require normative values to regulate social relations.Normative values on religion, social values and moresthat have been prevailing in the community, is thebasis for building a culture of inter-religious relations.Pancasila and the 1945‟s Constitution is a collectiveagreement in regulating the society and the state.National unity took place in the community where thevalues of religion has lived and practiced. Religiousdiversity has become a reality of history and they havebeen living side by side. Today, Da‟wah activities inbuilding awareness in the practice of religion amongthe other religious communities, is needed. Therefore,the practice of the “inclusive religion” should beapplied.

Empowerment is the antithesis of the concept andimplementation of community development that hasbeen developed in the third world (developingcountries), including Indonesia. Abstract

Ijtihad is a technical term of Islamic law that describesthe process of making a legal decision by independentinterpretation of the legal sources, the Qur’an and theSunnah. Ijtihad waqi'i in the Islamic dakwah is veryimportant for the challenges facing the Muslim world.Ijtihad is also important to find arguments for thedakwah, and responding to the dynamic developmentof Muslim civilization, as well as provide solutions totheir problems. In addition, ijtihad also brings benefitsin developing ukhuwah based on local wisdom inLampung. In its dakwah, da’i of the Nahdlatul Ulamaorganization in Lampung, support the success ofijtihad waqi'i, such as the empowering of theintellectual preachers, their awareness andcompetencies to synergize the textual messages withcontextual one, based on local wisdom. This articlewill further elaborate on these topics.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is the communicationthat takes place between people who areinterdependent and have some knowledge of eachother. It includes what takes place between a son andhis father, a teacher and a student, two friends, and soon. Interpersonal communication is often extended toinclude small intimate groups such as the family.Through this interpersonal communication, parents inWay Huwi Village can build character teenagers,established effective communication and meaningful,and it is able to achieve the goal of fostering moralbehavior in teenagers. Muslims parents build teenagersgood behavior through communication process: thestages of the message, which can affect teenagers'behavior. The parents perceived who has a certaincredibility which trusted by the teenagers. Throughinterpersonal communication, Muslim parents find away to build their teenagers character.
