Abstract

Female circumcision is a present muslim societies‟tradition since ancient to modern times. Some moslemscholars say women do not need to be circumcised, but many other scholars argue for female circumcisionlaw is mandatory. They argue with hadith narrated byAbu Dawood from Umu Athiyah and narrated byAhmad from Osama. Scientifically studied these haditsis dha‟if can not be used as a basis in determining theproposition or obligation circumcision for girls. If atthe time of the Prophet Muhammad ever set of femalecircumcision, it should be understood only as hisijtihad itself, not as a permanent Sunnah, and justbecause people not be continue it. This is the wisdomof the Prophet who want to make changes to thetradition but performed by gradual and withoutcausing chaos.

Abstract

The question of insurance is a major concern ofcontemporary Islamic jurisprudence. Insurance is animportant part of the modern business environment. Many scholars criticize the system of conventionalinsurance as exploitative and unjust. They point out thatpaying money for something, with no guarantee ofbenefit, involves high ambiguity and risk. One pays intothe program, but may or may not need to receivecompensation from the program, which could beconsidered a form of gambling. The insured always seemsto lose while the insurance companies get richer andcharge higher premiums. On the other hand, there arescholars who argue that the insurance contract contains agreat deal of gharar that makes the contract invalid. Theseargue that this gharar shall be forsaken if we change thestructure of the insurance contract in question, making ita cooperative that receives premiums as donations. Basedon this argument, Islamic insurance companies arefounded. The purpose of this article is to discuss furtherabout this issue.

Abstract

Islamic education is uniquely different from othertypes of educational theory and practice largelybecause of the all-encompassing influence of theQur‟an. The Qur‟an serves as a comprehensiveblueprint for both the individual and society and as theprimary source of knowledge. Islamic spiritualityfocuses on the activity al-qalb, or the heart; and alnafsor the self or ego. Purification of the heart (tanqiyaal-qalb) and rectification of the self (tahdhib al-nafs) arefrom the most important of personally obligatory actsand of the imperative Divine commands, as proven bythe Book, the Sunna (tradition), and statements of thescholars. The ultimate aim of Muslim education lies inthe realization of complete submission to Allah on thelevel of the individual, the community and humanity atlarge. And the aim of Islamic spiritual education is to curethe human soul of this fatal malady and to make himwhole as he was in the Adamic state. In other word, the aims are to make man achieve integration in all thedepth and breadth of his being and life. In thefollowing, will be discussed the the concept of tassawufeducation

Abstract

Communicating is the foundation of education.Without communication, ideas, directions, andthoughts are lost or misunderstood. Students may notunderstand teaching material, educators may notunderstand directions given to them, and teachers maynot understand that a gap in communication isforming. So teacher student communication plays abig part in the success of classroom interaction.According to Cooper, effective teachers shoulddemonstrate competencies in sending and receivingmessages that give or obtain information, express orrespond to feelings, speculate or theorize, maintainsocial relationships and facilitate interaction, and seekto convince or influence. Beyond these competencies, several teacher communication behaviors andstrategies must be learned to enhance student learning. What teachers need to know obviously goes beyondhow to enhance self-presentation, how to keepstudents on task, and how to manage studentresistance. Effective communication includes muchmore than simple knowledge transmission. This articlewill discusses somethings related to teacher studentcommunication.
