Abstract

Conventional waste management in Indonesia faces the challenge of inefficiency due to static transportation schedules, causing waste to pile up in crowded locations and becoming a source of environmental problems. This study aims to design and implement a smart trash can system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) as a solution to this problem. This system was developed using the Design and Build approach with the Waterfall model, integrating a Wemos microcontroller, infrared sensors for automatic opening and closing mechanisms, ultrasonic sensors for waste volume monitoring, and a web dashboard for centralized data visualization. The results of the study showed the success of the implementation of a functional prototype, starting from hardware assembly, firmware development on the microcontroller, to the backend system and database. System testing using the Black Box method showed that all main functional scenarios including user detection, automatic closing control, volume measurement, and sending data to the dashboard were 100% successful according to the design. This functional success proves that the developed prototype is a valid and potential solution to realize a more efficient, hygienic, and real-time monitorable waste management system, so that it can support better operational decision making

Abstract

This study aims to examine the entrepreneurial intentions of generation Z in Indonesia. This study reveals the factors that influence the entrepreneurial intentions of generation Z and analyzing the relationship between these factors. The study was conducted using the FGD method on young entrepreneurs of generation Z to obtain input on the conditions of young entrepreneurship, especially generation Z. Reviewing the previous related literatures on entrepreneurial intention research were used to obtain a selection of factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions among young people. Models and hypotheses were built based on input from FGDs and previous related studies and then they were tested using the questionnaire data from survey techniques. Data testing was carried out using descriptive statistical methods, validity tests, reliability tests, and correlation tests using SPSS. Analysis of individual respondent factors was also carried out to reveal the characteristics of generation Z. The causality test using correlation technic were used to reveal the relationships between the factors studied. The output of this study is a model of entrepreneurial behaviors (entrepreneurial intentions) of generation Z in Indonesia. The results of this study reveal that factors naming Attitude towards money, Entrepreneurship education, Advance in technology, and Entrepreneurship efficacy have association with Entrepreneurship Intention. All factors also have a relationship with each other. Surprisingly, the personal factor Gender only has a relationship with Entrepreneurship education. Men and women have different relationships; women have a stronger relationship with entrepreneurship education. Meanwhile, Age has no relationship with all factors in this study. These results provide insight to entrepreneurship educators, the government, and stakeholders regarding the progress of young entrepreneurship in Indonesia. This insight is useful in assisting young people, especially generation Z, in entering and engaging in the entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the role of SalesMania in optimizing the performance of sales distribution teams and supporting sustainable development. The distribution industry plays a significant role in the global economy, with millions of individuals engaged in sales. The complexity and manual nature of sales work can be optimized through digital platforms like SalesMania, making the carbon footprint from distribution activities more efficient. SalesMania offers an integrated solution for scheduling visits, location tracking, real-time reporting, and data analytics. These features help sales teams work more efficiently, improve communication and coordination, and maximize time and resources. The implementation of SalesMania can reduce carbon emissions, fuel usage, and paper consumption by optimizing the use of the latest technology, enabling the platform to help distribution companies achieve sales targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to environmental conservation. The research results, based on surveys conducted on companies that have used the SalesMania system, show that SalesMania has proven effective in optimizing the performance of sales teams and supporting sustainable development. The implementation of SalesMania can help distribution companies achieve their business goals and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Abstract

The rapidly-evolving nature of information technology is both a challenge and an opportunity for non-profit organisations, as they seek to apply digital solutions to their administrative processes, as it does for organization XYZ Church in East Java. As the XYZ Synod of East Java is developing a more and more networked local church, managing congregation data has never been so sophisticated. Because the systems are not integrated, church data is often managed in a fragmented manner, making it difficult to track congregation data, use church activities intelligence, and provide adequate pastoral services. This research has the purpose to create a church information system in a web-based environment so that it can solve these problems, manage centralized but flexible in gathering the congregations data in a web-based, and can access in different churches. It proposes a cloud-based system that will be cost-effective, ensuring scalability, security and removing the need for expensive IT infrastructure while still ensuring data is available and protected. Additionally, the system architecture is based on Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) to ensure a detailed analysis of stakeholder needs and organizational complexities occurring in the church ecosystem. SSM, in conjunction with problem structuring methods, also means we can identify not only the primary challenges and stakeholder perspectives among the members of Church XYZ,  but also explore the core system functionalities to ensure the solution fits the operational and pastoral needs of Church XYZ as it seeks to engage East Java. It is hoped that the thorough model formulated will significantly improve administrative effectiveness, increase data accuracy, refine pastoral care methodology and safeguard privacy of ministry while allowing efficient integration between local churches. This study combines contemporary solution of digital transformation with structured methodological analysis to appropriately support the digital transformation of church management while maintaining the core values and mission of Church XYZ in East Java.

Abstract

This study examines how augmented reality (AR) technology impacts students' interest in reading in SCU Libraries, specifically AR-Books. The primary objective was to determine how AR-Books can increase student engagement and motivation. We used a descriptive qualitative research method and conducted open-ended interviews with eight students with AR-Books experience. The findings positively impacted reading interest; participants noted that AR-Book summaries provided a better experience due to their time efficiency and interactive features. Interestingly, all students desired to continue using AR-Books, underscoring their effectiveness in creating a more engaging reading experience. Overall, AR-Books are a valuable resource for increasing students' reading interest, aligning with the younger generation's preference for quick and convenient solutions.
