Abstract

Design of the wing planform depended on some geometry key factors such as aspect ratio, sweep angle, taper ratio, and angle of incidence. The search for optimum fl ight characteristic could be observed from aerody-namic coeffi cients, fl ight stability, fl ight dynamic, fl ight performance, and fl ight quality. To examine the design of the wing planform, this paper presented an experiment that modify few factors of wing geometry and simulated it concerning the launching phase of the unmanned air-vehicle or UAV using rocket as booster. The optimal design of the wing is a prerequisite for the UAV to achieve its main mission as a national defense missile. Using X-Plane v 8.6 as a fl ight simulation tool, the experimental results showed that a hybrid wing could produce an intermediate grade fl ight characteristic between rectangular wing and delta wing. Rectangular wing tended to produce a highly pitch-up trajectory when catapulted by a rocket booster, while delta wing produced a more stable pitch attitude and more better  fl ight performance. This experiment showed that hybrid wing was the appropriate choice for subsonic jet UAV that had to be launched by rocket.

Tudung Manto is one of the main items for Malay women traditional clothing in the village of Daik Malay, Linga District, Riau Islands Province. This research tries to understand the meaning contained in the Tudung Manto by using qualitative method and the interpretivisme symbolic paradigm. This study shows that motif of tudung manto is avehicle used by the Malays Daik to bring the concept of value altruistic, glory, unity, and integrity, obedience to God, Sincerity and honesty, brotherhood, orderly, harmonious, abstinence give up, to maintained the reputation, keep the peace, wealth and prosperity, the concept of human, social stratification, as well as the concept of Malay identity.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to determine the seagrass bed coverage and its ecosystem condition. The research result obtained ten seagrass species, those are Cymodocea serullata, Cymodecea rotundata, Syringodium isotefilium, Halophila ovalis, Halophila minor, Enhalus acroides, Halodule pinifolia, Halodule uninervis, Thalassia hempirichii, and Thalossodenron ciliatum. The biggest percentage of seagrass coverage was found in Tamangil Nuhuten (50,75 %), followed by Tamangil Nuhuyanat (62,61%), Soindrat (51,53%), Ngafan (58,70%), dan Tutrean (57,15%).Water quality of this area was good for the life of seagrass.

Abstract

Palu’s shallot is commercial crops. The productivity of Palu’s shallot is still a lower compared to that in regional crop which was achieved of 6,1 t/ha. In addition, this production is still lower compared to the national productivity (20 t/ha). This research was aimed to study the application of organic and inorganic fertilizers in the productivity of Palu’s shallot. The study was arranged in a randomized block design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. This study was performed on farm of fearmer’s land at Guntarano village of Tanatovea sub-district of Donggala district. The treatment consisted of ZA 100 kg/ha + NPK (P0), compost of cow excrement 10 t/ha (P1), compost of chickeent excrement 5 t/ha (P2), compost of goat manure 5 t/ha (P3), compost of cow excrement 5 t/ha + ZA 50 kg/ha. Result indicated that all treatments showed not signifi cant on vegetative growth of local Palu’s shallot. However, there was a signifi cant effect among the fertilizer treatments on increasing of Palu’s shallot productivity. It was found that the weight of wet tuber showed higher than in P4 (14.42 t/ha) and in P2 (10.90 t/ha).

Abstract

The availability of food resources is one of habitat components that support simakobu conservation. This study was aimed to identify the species and composition of feeding plants and habitat structures of simakobu. Habituation of simakobu was conducted in prior to the study. Afterwards it was performed to collect the data on species and composition of feeding plants of simakobu using ad libitum methods. Determination of the structure and composition of vegetation on simakobu habitat, vegetation analysis was done by establishing plot measuring all long 100 m for 15 plots. Result showed that amount of 116 plant species was eaten by simakobu. Katatairek (Bhesa paniculata), logauna (Knema sumatrana) and ungla (Aporosa symplocoides) were species that its parts were most widely used as food source of simakobu. Young leaves, leaf bud, fl ower and fruit parts of those speciesare eaten by simakobu. This study suggests that the dominant plant species on the simakobu habitat is Logauna (Knema sumatrana).

Abstract

The focus of this research is to determine the effect of fiscal stimulus policy of infrastructure to the economyof Indonesia. Research method used is Social Accounting Matrix (SAM). The simulation result indicates that fiscalstimulus policy of infrastructure has a positive effect to the revenue growth of production factors, households, and production activities. Fiscal stimulus also affect the growth of other sectors outside the infrastructure sector, including mining and quarrying, forestry, and timber industry. Based on a structural path analysis it can beconcluded that the global effect of the infrastructure sector to household is carried out through the productionfactors labour and capital.

Abstract

The presence of lignin in plant cells is a factor limiting the effi ciency of processing lignocellulosic materials of wood-based industries including pulp and paper industry either chemically or biologically (biopulping) process using white rot fungi. Lignin content determination of sengon collected from different areas in Indonesia indicated that it ranged low to moderate category (16.58–35.59%). Lignin histochemical assay of transverse section of stems using phloroglucinol-HCl staining showed that the initiation of lignin deposition was noted in 2 weeks old seedling. Lignin quantitative and qualitative assessment through histochemical assay showed that lignin content was varied in trees depending on height

Abstract

Creativity is innate, whose truth value could only be realized if it is nurtured since early age. The important factors to enhance children’s creativity are attention and time. Many mothers have not understood their needed roles to increase children’s creativity. Therefore, further research is needed to know the role of mother as educator, caregiver, protector and its relation to the creativity of preschool age children. This research was done on Sinar Mulia kindergarten at Banda Aceh. Research design was using cross sectional study with a total sample of 50 mothers of Sinar Mulia kindergarten students. Data collection was done using a questionnaire. Then Chi-squaretest was used with α (0.05). Analysis result shows mother’s role in relation to children’s creativity as follows: mother’s role as educators with p-value = 0.005 <0.05, mother’s role as caregiver with p-value = 0.005 <0.05, mother’s role as protector with p-value = 0.001 <0.05. Combined analysis result of mother’s role, shows p-value = 0.020 <0.05. In conclusion there is a relationship between mother’s role as educator, caregiver and protector with pre-school age children creativity at Sinar Mulia kindergarten at Banda Aceh city.

Abstract

This research described about speed control of three-phase AC induction motor use space vector method and Proportional Integral (PI) controller. To determine the parameters of PI controller used Tuning Charts for PI Feedback Controllers. Measurement of motor speed used dc motor 12 volts functioned as a generator connected by Op-Amp circuit. Output Voltage Op-Amp interfaced to ADC Microcontroller as signal feedback from actual speed of triphase AC induction motor. Then in empiric is searched transfer function of the motor to determine value of the Kp (proportional gain), Ki (integral gain), θ (dead time), and τ (time constant). Testing system is done for set point maneuver from 480 rpm to 1,080 rpm, and then from 1,200 rpm to 480 rpm. Based on the result of research indicates that control system PI for speed of triphase AC motor can be controlled to reach stable condition, if maneuver set point under specifi  cation of nominal speed performance of three phasa AC induction motor for 900 rpm.
