Abstract

SIMPADU was born to answer the need for information within the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic academic community as a form of information service. This research aims to provide recommendations/ suggestions/input in the form of policies to improve the quality of the Integrated Academic Information System (SIMPADU) in the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic academic environment. SIMPADU is a website-based application created to assist the data management process of academics, lecturers and students in 5 departments (21 study programs) and is useful in managing campus management at the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic. Policy suggestions prepared based on an analysis process for assessing the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic information system with a comparison of the dimensions of the PIECES Framework to measure the quality of SIMPADU as a guide in improving or developing service quality. The analysis results are processed using the PIECES Framework method based on assessment criteria (Very Good/Good/Fair/Poor). It is hoped that the results of the recommendations in this research can contribute to Poliban management, especially the Academic Section, through UPT ICT as a reference material or decision support in improving the quality of the website-based Integrated Academic Information System (SIMPADU) to be even better in the future.

Abstract

The development of technology acts as a means for government agencies to provide ease of service to the community. The application of technology in population administration services, for example, the Disdukcapil Online Application is a web-based application provided by the Pontianak City Population and Civil Registry Office to make it easier for people to access various services with online queue registration facilities, online services, and residents come. In implementing the Pontianak City Disdukcapil Online Application, there are several usability problems, namely difficult to access when the queue registration hours are opened, the number of quotas is always full when registering due to system problems, there are similarities in icons, and the color on the selected navbar menu does not change. Therefore, it is necessary to measure usability evaluation which aims to determine the level of usability in the Pontianak City Disdukcapil Online Application. The method used to measure the usability level of the Pontianak City Disdukcapil Online Application is the Website Usability Evaluation Tool (WEBUSE). Based on questionnaires distributed to the people of Pontianak City and residents came with a total of 100 respondents. The results of measuring usability evaluation using the WEBUSE method on the Pontianak City Disdukcapil Online Application get a usability point of 0.68 so that it is at the "Good" usability level. However, there are two attributes in the user interface design category at the "Moderate" usability level, namely UID1 and UID2 with the same usability point of 0.57. From the results of usability points that are below the threshold value, there are 18 attributes that are given recommendations for interface improvement.

Abstract

The evaluation of website content is important to ensure that the presented content aligns with users' needs and preferences. This can be accomplished by analyzing user reviews regarding the website's content. This research leverages the Hierarchical Dirichlet Process (HDP) method to automatically identify primary topics from 32 users' reviews, resulting in three main recurring topics: 'good', 'bug', and 'update'. Using the OSEMN framework, the final evaluation indicates that the 'good' topic exhibits the highest cosine similarity value compared to other topics. This signifies that the positive aspects highlighted in users' reviews regarding the website's content dominate and possess significant similarities among the reviews. These findings offer crucial insights into comprehending user evaluations of website content, serving as a basis for more effective and targeted content improvements moving forward.

Abstract

This study investigates how to implement the Rational Unified Process (RUP) model in the web-based operational management application of PDAM Kapuas. The aim of this research is to improve operational efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and enhance customer satisfaction. The research method involves collecting relevant data, analyzing system requirements, designing software architecture, developing prototypes, and evaluating the implementation of the Rational Unified Process (RUP). RUP employs an iterative approach and allows for diverse roles among team members and resource optimization. Inception, Elaboration, Construction, and Transition are the stages of RUP development. The results of this research include the analysis of business processes, creation of use case diagrams, design of class diagrams, and development of 27 application interfaces that facilitate access to each menu. Abstract

The development of information technology has triggered transformations in various aspects of human life, including industries. In the industrial context, technology plays a key role in transforming maintenance practices from reactive to preventive. Although preventive maintenance (PM) offers significant benefits, its manual implementation often faces challenges such as monitoring difficulties, record-keeping, and the risk of human errors. In response to these challenges, technology-based solutions, such as Mobile App-Based Preventive Maintenance, have emerged as effective alternatives with the potential to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and avoid human errors. This research aims to enhance the responsiveness and affordability of maintenance, optimize the preventive maintenance process through mobile applications, and design and develop a Mobile-Based Preventive Maintenance Information System. The research was conducted at PT Krakatau Tirta Industri, focusing on the Information Systems and Performance Management division. The theoretical foundation includes concepts of information systems, preventive maintenance, and technologies used in mobile application development, such as Android, Kotlin, Android Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, and Figma. The Waterfall method is used as the application development approach. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of this system significantly contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of the company. The system helps effectively design and build preventive maintenance information systems, assists the maintenance department in performing their tasks better, facilitates administration in managing preventive maintenance data, and provides easy access for the maintenance department to monitor the condition of machines that require repair.

Abstract

Freemie is a brand from a company engaged in the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector, which focuses on processed noodle products. The design thinking method is used to help design a better and more functional Freemie website interface. This method involves five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. Using system evaluation with the useberry testing tool and calculating test results using SEQ (Single Ease Question) and SUS (System Usability Scale). The average value of SEQ was obtained, namely task 1 was 5.8 and task 2 was 6.2 and the results of the SUS calculation were 89.6. This means that the design succeeds in providing a better understanding of user needs and design adjustments that are tailored to user preferences and needs.

Abstract

Currently there are still many barber shops or haircut services that still conventionally serve haircut customers who come to their place without booking a schedule in advance. This can cause a buildup of customers at certain times because there is no booking system that the barber shop applies. So that it makes customers feel bored because they have to wait for service without any certainty of time for them to get a haircut service. Kang Barber is a barber shop schedule booking website that uses the Laravel framework. The design of this information system focuses on making it easy for customers to place orders (booking) barber shop schedules, so that customers can get services directly according to the hours they have ordered without having to wait long or queue. The Kang Barber information system has 3 roles, namely customer, staff and admin. Each has different functions and capabilities in using the website. Customers can order booking schedules after having a registered account, Staff can accept bookings made by customers, and the Admin can fully manage the continuity of the Dashboard such as Create, Read, Update and Delete.

Abstract

Education is the basic right of every person and the current era of digitalization has increased access to education through the availability of the internet. Nowadays, education is not only limited to formal school channels where one has to go somewhere to receive education, but it can be done anywhere and anytime with the help of online platforms. One of the certified online learning platforms is Dicoding which provides training and materials in information technology, particularly in programming. Dicoding allows its users to improve their skills and knowledge in an interactive and self-directed way using a variety of available content related to the industry. In assessing the quality of the service provided, measures such as the End User Satisfaction Method (EUCS) are used which focuses on user satisfaction with content, accuracy, ease of use, aesthetics, and timeliness. As a result, users rated the service Under Review, i.e., better than they expected and they were able to achieve their learning outcomes with good satisfaction.

Abstract

OVO, an e-wallet company, introduced the OVO application as part of its digital strategy to cater to customer needs and stay competitive in the digital era. This study aims to assess the User Experience (UX) of the OVO application using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The research focuses on understanding user perceptions regarding functionality, intuitiveness, visual design, performance, support, and security aspects of the OVO application. The research methodology employed the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, which consists of structured questions to gauge user satisfaction and usability. Abstract

UI UX Design has become a key factor in creating an engaging and satisfying user experience in today's digital era. It is well known that a good user experience can contribute to increased customer loyalty. This study aims to investigate the role of UI UX Design in increasing customer loyalty and describe how this craft involves digital experiences. This research involved a comprehensive literature review and case studies to explore best practices in UI UX Design. In this study, UI refers to the user interface, while UX refers to the overall user experience in interacting with digital service products. The results of this study indicate that a good UI UX Design can help increase customer loyalty by creating an interesting, intuitive and attractive experience. This research also illustrates that craft in UI UX Design involves collaboration between graphic designers, web developers, and UX experts. A design process that involves deep understanding of user needs, mapping the user journey, and continuous testing and iteration is an important step in creating a great experience.
