Abstract

This article assesses the implementation level of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices in SMEs Pekalongan batik business with GreenSCOR approach and mapped out the results with an approach of importance peformance analysis (IPA). The article also devised a strategy to improve the implementation of GSCM practices. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires and interviews. This article shows that the level of GSCM implementation in small-scale batik SMEs is in the poor category; Whereas, the level of GSCM implementation in medium-scale batik SMEs is in the average category. The results of the mapping show that, for batik SMEs there are indicators that are in quadrant A. Preparation of strategies to improve GSCM practices in batik SME Pekalongan more focused on improving the performance of indicators of use of environmentally friendly raw materials.

Abstract

Gunung Kidul Regency is a region of soybean producer in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The raw materials support the tofu-making industry where one of the centers of tofu industry in Siraman and Sumbermulyo Wonosari. The productivity of the tofu manufacturing process is determined on the work tool and worker performance. To increase productivity a holistic approach is necessary considering all aspects. In this research, the method used to design holistically is macro ergonomic analysis and design (MEAD). With a sociotechnical MEAD approach, it is identified control variance to avoid musculoskeletal complaints that have an impact on increased productivity. This research only makes the design with high tool filter is 1014,70 mm and width 419,9 mm. A blower tool that facilitates removal of soy water material with suction specification and press 30 m / s using 220 VA power supply and 1300 VA power with galvanized pipe as conductor of 2 inch diameter.

Abstract

Increased retail economic has had an impact on the Indonesian economy. Carrefour as an international company has a local companys competitor, Hypermart. In order for both companies to know the position of competing, then benchmarking done between them using CZIPA (Competitive Zone of Tolerance based Importance-Performance Analysis) method. The use of CZIPA methods is done to determine the priority of each self-service in making improvements. The dimension used is the retail dimension called RSQS (Retail Service Quality Scale). The goal to be achieved is to know the superior service quality indicators owned by Carrefour and Hypermart and to make priority services to be improved on both self-service using RSQS dimensions. Data collected through questionnaire with purposive sampling method to 133 people. Research finds the main problem facing Carrefour is self-service layout that does not facilitate consumers to find the desired product. At Hypermart, the main problem is that the products in the catalog are not always available.

Abstract

The article presents the Biased Random Key Genetic Algorithm-Population Degradation (BRKGA-PD) design for completing Capacitated Closed Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (CCVRPTW) on soft drink distributions that have been studied by Sembiring (2008). The goal is to determine some closed routes in meeting consumer demand with time limits and limit the capacity of vehicles used, so the total cost of distribution is minimal. The proposed algorithm adopts the extinction of population size. BRKGA-PD is coded using Matlab programming with the best parameter setting. The resulting solution is a subrute with a minimum of distribution fee. This algorithm is compared with two other methods, namely BRKGA general and heuristic methods. The results of this study can be concluded that the BRKGA-PD method is able to improve the general BRKGA because with a time difference that is not significant can provide cost savings of Rp. 6.857,- and BRKGA-PD is better than heuristic method because it can save more cost Rp. 87.000,-.

Abstract

The article identifies the criteria for choosing a trade show and develops a basic model of exhibition selection for creative industry players before deciding to participate in a trade show. It is necessary to ensure that expenses in terms of business, money, and time, will be worth the results. Based on literature review and interviews, six criteria were used, namely location, booth position, organizational reputation, cost estimation, prestige, and reputation of other participants. After selection criteria are identified, then calculations are performed to measure the criteria weight by using the AHP approach. Based on weight calculations, it was found that booth positions had the highest importance weight, followed by trade show location, organizers reputation, cost estimation, prestige and reputation of other participants. The weight value is then used to calculate the trade shows prediction value. The predicted value generated from the model is then compared to the value of the past data. The model has an accuracy rate of 89% and does not have a significant difference between the value generated by the model and the value of the past data.

Abstract

Creative industry is a cycle of creation, production, and distribution of goods / services using creativity and intellectual capital as the main input. The creative industry can improve the welfare and create new jobs for the community. The object of this research is a shoe manufacturer. In general, shoes made using synthetic raw materials so that shoes products tend not environmentally friendly. Many alternative natural materials are more environmentally friendly to replace this synthetic product, one of which is a burlap sack. This research is doing redesign of womens shoe sack with Quality Function Deployment method. The results of the house of quality matrix are design targets including: good quality and durable materials, shoe prices, concept of sneaker shoe, external sole material and insole, combination of dark and bright colors, batik inner/outer appearance is different, display design can be replaced, shoe fin section can be removed pairs, the main material of burlap sack, there is a waterproof parachute; and multifunctional shoes.

Abstract

This article measures and identifies waste and designs alternatives to reduce waste in one SME in Yogyakarta, thus increasing efficiency. The lean manufacturing approach uses Value Stream Mapping that applies sustainability concepts. The research methodology used in this research is case study strategy. Based on the analysis of Current State Mapping there are many activities that are not important and should be reduced. The sustainability aspect in Gendhis Bag covers the environmental aspect with a 10% limit on skin waste and 15% for PVC waste. Energy consumption for production is 750 watts and labor cost is Rp 32,800 per unit. Safety operators have a very small accident rate, while the largest Physical Load Index score is in the cutting department. Future state VSM shows that NNVA and NVA time can be significantly reduced and lead time can be reduced, so production can increase 12 units per day.

Abstract

The quality of water as a raw material in the process of food production has an important role. Water quality control is the key in maintaining production. This is the underlying purpose of this study to make improvements in its production activities to reduce the number of defective products in the production process. Water quality control of production is done by specifying several parameters, such as pH, turbidity, and iron. This study uses the concept of Six Sigma DMAIC.Pareto diagram shows water tends to acid, muddy, and contain much iron. Furthermore, the fishbone diagram is used to determine the percentage biggest defect. Improvement performed at the highest RPN value of around 630 in the filter. In addition, the value of sigma level before improvement around 3.3 with the possibility of defects approximately 34491 to a million process. Furthermore, the level of sigma after improvement roughly 4:09 with the possible failure of the process around 5526.

Abstract

The users of the bike is currently doing a lot of camping in the open sky. Security becomes one of the problems when in nature. Camping cyclists often feel a sense of worry when leaving the bike. Based on these needs, it is necessary additional design part on the bike that made the frame set up the tent. The method used in the design is the canoe method. This method is used to determine the desires of bicycle users based on the level of customer satisfaction to the product of tents and bicycle merging. The results of the study were 13 attributes included in the servqual dimension. Grouping attributes based on canoe categories are 6 attributes including attractive category, 2 must be attributes, 4 one-dimensional attributes, and 1 indifferent attribute. The size of the tents that are made has a length of 200 cm, width 240 cm and height 160 cm.

Abstract

Kampung Gadukan Surabaya, is a center of the village featured products ladies fashion bags in East Java. Foreign products, especially from China,became a threat to SME won in both domestic market and export market. Variations in product design and affordable price of make imported products more in demand by the public. Increased competitiveness through the realization of the strategy of product diversification as a strategy that needs to be done in the SME businesses expand reviews their markets. Through a gap analysis to obtain customer satisfaction criteria and refers to the eight dimensions of product development, the resulting that there are 20 criteria in product attributes are important by consumers. In addition, from the design concept of the initial design of products produced four factors of quality criteria that should be a priority in the product design process. The fourth factor is the quality of the quality of raw and auxiliary materials, elegant design, color and quality of the production process. Based on reviews these four factors, the quality of the products of SMEs will be expected to meet the desires of consumers.
