Abstract

The role of government on development is really needed; APBN (budget income of state) is one of fiscal policy to create the aim of development. The arrangement of APBN needs to concern the influence factors, namely a rate of exchange rupiah to US dollar, economic development, and fuel price in world market, national inflation level, and crude oil production per day. To find out the influence of each variable, it needs to regress the existent variable, after that to find out validity of the influence is by examining statistic criteria and estimating the deviation of classic assumption. The result of the estimation does not show any serious deviation classic assumption that is able to hamper the estimation, and from the result examination it finds out that the statistic criteria does not has problem.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the capitalization rate of luxurious houses in Sleman Regency, and its influential factors. This study will analyze the central tendency (mean) of capitalization rates for all housing areas and for each area. For the second objective, a few factors will be analyzedwhether they are statistically significant in influencing the luxurious house capitalization rates in the study areas. A few factors that will be analyzed are: the assessment of the building, lot size, location, and age of the building. This study uses cross section data only from the prime source through a stratified sampling over 5 areas of luxurious housing complexes in Sleman District: Bale Agung, Bale Hinggil, Pondok Permai Kaliurang, Hyarta and Pesona Merapi. The empirical result of this analysis shows that the mean value of the capitalization rate of luxurious houses in the study areas is. From the result of the regression analysis, it can be known which variables or factorsare statistically significant in influencing the capitalization rate of the luxurious houses in the study areas. The result shows us that the assessment of the building, lot size, location, and the age of the building are statistically significant in influencing the capitalization rates of luxurious houses in the study areas.

Abstract

The government’s effort to reduce the number of unemployment and poverty in ac- cordance with the Medium Term Development Plan amounted 5,1 percent is difficult to achieve if there is no effort to develop the Rill Sector. The revitalization of Rubber Plantation is based upon: (1) has a strategic role as a source of public revenue, (2) both domestic and export markets, (3) able to absorb labor, (4) ensuring environmental sustainability. The obstacles faced by the Rubber development focus on: (1) Productivity of the plantation is low, because there are many plantation which are damage by wild plant material, (2) the domestic downstream industry is less developed, (3) there is no special funding available for plantations, and (4) the policies are less supportive the development of plantation. Based on the development of rubber in 1992-1996, the result has been able to encourage economic growth and to increase the farmer’s incomes in Aceh significantly.

Abstract

Consumption expenditure of Indonesian society encompasses 60 percent until 70 percent from GNP in Indonesia. Based on Post Keynes and Keynes hypothesis, the research investigated consumption pattern of Indonesian society by partial adjustment method of regression. By this regression method, balance adjustment model in long and short term can be estimated. Research period used is from 1989 until 2002 with the quarterly data. Variables which supposed influencing consumption of society and they are used in model in addition to national income are real interest rate, stock investment, money in circulation, and income tax. The result of this research showed that MPC is 0,8337, therefore it needs doing the effort to decrease MPC or at least to keep the value.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the determinants of labor absorption in the trade, hotel and restaurant sector and its impact on Gross Regional Domestic Product/GRDP at Bali Province. This study is important due to the fact that the GRDP in this sector is the highest compared to other sector but the labor absorption is lower than the agriculture sector. This study used panel data comprising 9 regencies/cities at Bali Province in the period 2003-2009 including fixed effect model and simultaneous equation model of Two-Stage Least Square. The results showed that GRDP, working age population, and the minimum wage have positive effect on employment, while the educated unemployment has no significant effect on the employment in the trade, hotel and restaurant sector. In addition, increases in employment and workers productivity have positive and significant effects the GRDP in the trade, hotel and restaurant sector at Bali Province.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to know whether inflation influences economic growth or economic growth influence inflation and to know the final prediction error of long - term equilibrium relationship between inflation and economic growth. The hypothesis presented in this research is that inflation has negative influence on economic growth and economic growth has negative influence on inflation. It is assumed that the final prediction error of long - term equilibrium relationship between inflation and economic growth has negative influence, and the final prediction error of equilibrium relationship between economic growth and inflation has negative influence. The method used in this research is causality analysis of Final Prediction Error (FPE) by using time series data of 1973 through 2002 taken from the Body of Statistic Center (BPS).It is conducted stationerity and causality test of FPE in this research. This research shows that there is one direction causality in which economic growth influences inflation.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Pinrang district with the aim to analyze the potential and problems in irrigation management. Data were collected by interview method on the P3A advisers and FGD to the members of six elected P3A. Data were analyzed descriptively about resources, organizations, and the rules of irrigation management. The results showed that the organization of P3A less functional because there is no coordination between P3A and GP3A, including the duplication guidance of District offices of Irrigation and Agriculture, the utilization of water resources is inefficient because of silting in the secondary channel, water gate set freely by farmers, some tertiary channels damaged or turned off by the farmers, many farmers who make a shortcut channel, lack of watergate regulator; there are no sanctions imposed for who make shortcut and turn off channels. The members of P3A should be involved on every policy process making in the field of irrigation.

Abstract

Capital expenditure allocation is aimed to preservation and expansion of local government fixed assets that provide long-term benefit. This paper investigates the factors that affect the capital expenditure allocation in Indonesian local government. Employing a panel pooled data-regression (fixed effect), our results reveal that local productivity, local funding, local budget requirement, and local establishment status are related to the value of capital expenditure. This research found that efficiency of capital expenditure management is related with fiscal dependence.

Abstract

The demand for cooking oil from domestic and foreign market has madetrade of CPO as cooking oil raw material. The strength of CPO trade iscaused by amount of government wish to keep cooking oil price stability asdomestic main need and by the amount of government interest to increaseforeign exchange achievement. The research is centered on variables whichinfluence on the number of CPO export from Indonesia. The data used aretime series data from 1973-1988 which is taken from BPS (Central Bureauof Statistic) of Indonesian Plantation Annual Report. Whereas analysismethod used are Double Linear Regression by using OLS (Method ofOrdinary Least Squares) with variables test toward classical assumption andstatistic test.
