Abstract

The study aims to study the impact of compensation, work discipline, and motivation on employee performance, with motivation as an intervening variable. The study analyzed data from 105 respondents using quantitative approaches and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). In addition, although compensation has a significant impact on work motivation, work discipline also strongly affects work motivations. Work motivation has been shown to mediate the relationship between compensation and employee performance. These findings suggest that in addition to competitive compensation, improving employee discipline and motivation can be an effective strategy for improving performance. The results of this research can serve as a benchmark for managers to formulate more effective compensation policies and develop human resources.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of technology has transformed various sectors, including the financial industry, where the adoption of e-wallets has become increasingly prevalent. In Indonesia, the e-wallet market has experienced significant growth, driven by a young, tech-savvy population, increased internet penetration, and the government's push towards a cashless society. SAP Cash, a new entrant in this competitive market, has struggled to convert its initial surge in total users into active, engaged customers. This research aims to address this challenge by proposing a marketing strategy to increase the growth of active users for SAP Cash. The study begins by analyzing the current consumer characteristics of SAP Cash, utilizing segmentation, targeting, and positioning (STP) to identify key consumer segments. External and internal environment analyses are conducted to understand the factors impacting SAP Cash’s performance. These analyses include an examination of the general environment, industry dynamics, competitor landscape, and the internal strengths and weaknesses of SAP Cash. The SWOT analysis reveals that while SAP Cash possesses strengths such as secure transaction processing and robust technological infrastructure, it faces weaknesses like limited brand visibility and inadequate customer support. The external environment offers opportunities, including the growing acceptance of digital payments and the potential for strategic partnerships, but also presents threats from intense competition and high bargaining power of buyers.Using the TOWS matrix, this research proposes strategic recommendations for SAP Cash. These include enhancing brand visibility through targeted digital marketing, differentiating the product with unique features, strengthening customer support, and expanding promotional activities to boost user engagement. The study also suggests leveraging strategic partnerships to broaden market reach and maintaining a forward-looking technological infrastructure to ensure scalability and security. The proposed marketing strategy is designed to increase the active user base of SAP Cash by addressing its current weaknesses and capitalizing on market opportunities. The research contributes to the field by providing a structured approach to developing and implementing a marketing strategy in a highly competitive e-wallet market. Future research could explore customer loyalty factors and the impact of emerging technologies on the e-wallet industry, providing further insights into optimizing user engagement and retention strategies for SAP Cash.

Abstract

Swimming at an early age boosts children's physical and motor skills, builds confidence, and ensures safety around water. High parental awareness and enthusiasm, along with a lack of structured swimming programs in elementary schools, have led to a rise in swimming schools, presenting a significant business opportunity. Jogjarenang International Swimming School, established in 2020 in Yogyakarta City, offers specialized swimming programs for children using the Swim School International (SSI) curriculum. With increasing competition from new schools, Jogjarenang needs a strategic plan to stay competitive. This research uses a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative observations and interviews with quantitative surveys. The SWOT analysis highlights Jogjarenang’s strengths, such as experienced instructors and a strong reputation, but also reveals weaknesses like limited physical resources and instructor shortages. Opportunities include growing swimming awareness and supportive regulations, while threats come from rising competition. The TOWS analysis led to 15 strategic alternatives, with four prioritized strategies in the W-O matrix being recommended.

Abstract

This study examines the key factors influencing the behavioral intention to adopt cryptocurrency in Indonesia from a demographic perspective. Utilizing descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests such as the Mann-Whitney U Test and Kruskal-Wallis Test, the research analyzes how gender, age, educational level, and occupation impact individuals' perceptions and intentions regarding cryptocurrency adoption. The findings reveal significant differences across these demographic groups, particularly in areas such as financial literacy, perceived risk, social influence, and awareness. Males, younger individuals, and those with higher education levels or finance-related occupations exhibit a stronger intention to adopt cryptocurrency, driven by lower perceived risks and higher financial literacy. Conversely, females, older adults, and those with lower education levels show more hesitation, primarily due to higher perceived risks and lower awareness. The study underscores the need for targeted educational initiatives and policy interventions to address these demographic disparities and promote a more inclusive adoption of cryptocurrency in Indonesia. These insights are crucial for developing effective strategies to support the growth of cryptocurrency as part of the digital economy.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and provide alternative solutions as an effort to reduce defects in the welded wire mesh production process at PT HBU using the Six Sigma approach integrated with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). This research was carried out by applying the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework to improve product quality and process efficiency. In the Define stage, key problems are identified, and improvement objectives are set. The Measure stage includes data collection and initial analysis to measure the existing defect rate using the Defect per Million Opportunities (DPMO) and Sigma Level metrics. Furthermore, in the Analyze stage, root causes are identified and analyzed using Cause-and-Effect Diagram. In the Improve stage, FMEA is used to analyze the potential causes of defects by determining their priority and proposing improvement solutions based on the previous analysis to be implemented as an effort to reduce the possibility of defective products in the production process. Finally, in the Control stage, a schedule is designed for the implementation of the proposed improvements provided. The implementation of this integrated approach is expected to reduce the defect rate in products, improve product quality, and improve overall operational efficiency.
