Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Resource-Based View (RBV) in building agile strategies in MSMEs to face the challenges of the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era. The study was conducted on MSME ABC, a convection business that transformed from a B2B model to a combination of B2B and B2C in response to the dynamics of the business environment. A qualitative approach was used through a case study, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, analysis of customer reviews on e-commerce, and distribution of questionnaires to management and employees. The analysis was conducted with the RBV framework using the VRIO (Valuable, Rare, Inimitable, Organized) approach and the Agile Wheels concept (Gunasekaran, 2001). Of the 20 resources and capabilities of MSME ABC, five provide sustainable competitive advantages, while the rest are temporary. Key challenges include supply chain disruptions, technological limitations, lack of innovation, weak customer understanding, and low financial management capacity. The study recommends an agile strategy through strengthening adaptive internal processes, increasing external linkages with customers and suppliers, and developing human resource capabilities. These findings provide theoretical contributions to strengthening resource-based strategies and practical benefits for increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs amidst market uncertainty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing and digital wallet usage on consumer behavior within e-commerce platforms. The research is motivated by the rapid digitalization of transactions and the growing importance of digital marketing strategies and payment technologies in shaping consumer decision-making. A quantitative approach was employed, using multiple linear regression analysis based on data collected from 120 respondents who actively use e-commerce and make purchases via digital wallets. The findings reveal that both digital marketing and digital wallets have a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior, both individually and simultaneously, contributing 45.3% to the variation in consumer behavior. These results offer strategic implications for businesses and MSMEs in leveraging digital marketing and seamless transaction technologies to enhance customer loyalty and optimize service efficiency in the digital economy.

This research is using quantitative methode. The sampling used purposive sampling technique and used the Slovin's formula to get the result 97 respondents. The data collection method used is a questionnaire structured. this research uses the moderated regression analysis (MRA) technique with the SPSS27 application. This research found that financial literacy has a negative and insignificant effect on consumptive behavior, self concept has a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior, Financial literacy with religiosity has not significant effect towards consumptive behavior, and Self concept with religiosity has significant effect towards consumptive behavior. The value from this research give the insight for educational institutions and financial education institutions to emphasize the importance of developing self concept and religiousity integration in student financial management program.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of bank acquisitions by financial technology (fintech) firms on the performance of conventional banks in Indonesia between 2017 and 2024. Employing a staggered Difference-in-Differences (DiD) approach with a double-robust estimator (did2s), the analysis focuses on four key indicators: market access (measured by the number of customer accounts), profitability (Net Interest Margin/NIM and Return on Assets/ROA), and operational efficiency (BOPO ratio). The findings reveal that fintech-led acquisitions significantly expanded customer accounts in the second year post-acquisition, indicating successful market reach. However, a sharp decline in NIM emerged in the first year, reflecting margin pressure. ROA showed initial improvement but diminished in subsequent years. No significant change was detected in the BOPO ratio, suggesting limited efficiency gains. These results indicate that digital integration yields immediate growth in customer base but slower improvements in financial metrics, shaped by integration challenges, regulatory factors, and competitive intensity. This study contributes to the Structure-Conduct-Performance (SCP) framework and Platform Economics by elucidating the complex dynamics of digital consolidation in Indonesia’s banking sector.

Abstract

Over the past decade, global economic conditions have grown increasingly volatile, with various international challenges affecting national economies. Geopolitical tensions, in particular, have contributed to surging global energy and food prices, potentially driving up inflation and hindering economic growth. Additionally, climate change presents further obstacles to national economic development. In this context, the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) is often utilized as an indicator of economic performance, reflecting the health of the stock market, which is closely tied to macroeconomic factors. This study seeks to examine the impact of selected macroeconomic variables namely Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Dow Jones Index, inflation, exchange rate, and the BI Rate on the IHSG, with stock trading volume considered as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative research method, the study utilizes panel data regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The sample was selected based on predetermined sampling criteria. The findings reveal that GDP, exchange rate, and the Dow Jones Index significantly affect the IHSG, whereas inflation and the BI Rate do not. Regarding the mediating role of stock trading volume, the results indicate that the exchange rate, BI Rate, and stock trading volume itself do not significantly influence the IHSG. However, inflation is found to have a significant indirect effect on the IHSG through stock trading volume.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of knowledge, involvement, and trust on customer decisions to stay at Sutan Raja Hotel in Palu City. The target population consists of guests who have previously stayed at the hotel. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 82 respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The findings reveal three key points. First, knowledge, involvement, and trust simultaneously have a significant effect on customer decision-making when choosing to stay at Sutan Raja Hotel. Second, when examined individually, knowledge does not have a significant influence on customer decisions. Third, both involvement and trust show a significant partial influence on customers’ decisions to stay at the hotel. These results suggest that while customers may not prioritize knowledge or information about the hotel when making their decision, their level of involvement and the trust they place in the hotel play a crucial role. This implies that building strong customer relationships and trust, as well as encouraging customer engagement, are essential strategies for increasing customer retention and satisfaction in the hospitality industry.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the relationship between product innovation and E-WOM on consumer buying interest, focusing on the Jajanan Kita brand located in Harapan Mulia, Kemayoran. Innovate products that will be highlighted in their marketing strategies, especially in the food industry. In the digital age, individuals, particularly young adults, rely more on social media to receive more data and recommendations. E – WOM refers to the information and recommendations provided by the client through an online platform to prove an effective response. Consumers no longer rely solely on ads due to the ease of access to recommendations and reviews of other buyers. This analysis applies Structural Equation Modelling and Partial Least Square to test the Research Model. The results of the analysis show that product innovation and E-WOM statistically and significantly affect consumer purchase intentions. This research, it is anticipated, can help those in the industry make important conclusions about marketing strategies, while also adding information about the importance of innovation and E-WOM to the food industry. Furthermore, this research can be applied as a basis for conducting more comprehensive investigations and to provide relevant empirical data to promote the development of local food stall businesses.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of work overload, work-life balance, and job conflict on employee performance, with emotional intelligence acting as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, data were collected from 57 employees of the Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning Agency (DPPPAKB) of Jember Regency. Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used for data analysis. The results indicate that work overload, work-life balance, and job conflict significantly influence employee performance, with emotional intelligence playing a significant moderating role between work-life balance and performance. However, emotional intelligence did not have a significant direct effect on employee performance, nor did it significantly moderate the relationship between work overload or job conflict and performance. These findings highlight the importance of managing work-related stressors and fostering a balanced work-life environment to enhance employee performance, suggesting that emotional intelligence can be a key factor in improving performance under specific conditions.
