Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of competence, individual characteristics, and work environment on employee performance, with work motivation as a moderating variable at BKPSDM Musi Rawas Regency. The study population amounted to 48 employees, and all were sampled through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires that included independent variables (competence, individual characteristics, work environment), dependent variables (employee performance), and moderating variables (work motivation). The results showed that the three independent variables had a significant positive effect on employee performance. In addition, work motivation proved to moderate the relationship significantly. This finding indicates that optimal performance can be achieved through adequate competence, strong individual character, a conducive work environment, and high work motivation. The practical implications of these results encourage strengthening employee training, individual character mapping, work environment improvement, and motivation enhancement strategies. Theoretically, this research strengthens the interactional model in the study of public sector work behavior and contributes to the development of human resource management theory in the context of local government bureaucracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research explores strategies to increase website transactions for ISD Indonesia, a sports retailer, using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) alongside the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The study identifies three key factors impacting e-commerce performance: User Acquisition, User Experience, and Purchase Convenience. AHP analysis reveals that User Acquisition is the most significant factor, highlighting the need for increased brand visibility and trust. The study recommends prioritizing Alternative 2: Balanced Omnichannel, which integrates online and offline strategies, to boost brand awareness and customer engagement. This approach includes leveraging expert endorsements and in-store digital tools like QR codes. Alternative 1: Enhance Website Features and Alternative 3: Lifestyle-driven Commerce are proposed as medium- and long-term strategies, respectively, to improve user experience and build customer loyalty. By enhancing website features such as real-time inventory and customer reviews, and fostering community-driven engagement, ISD Indonesia can differentiate itself from competitors. The proposed technological roadmap offers a phased approach for ISD to strengthen its online presence and compete effectively in the growing digital marketplace. This study provides valuable insights for brands transitioning from marketplace dependence to developing a sustainable e-commerce platform.

Abstract

Much attention has been paid by scholars to measuring student satisfaction, especially in the online environment since it is related to the quality of the learning process and student performance. This study has the main objective of analyzing student satisfaction in online learning by considering the level of importance of elements in online learning. This research employed a simple random sampling method and succeeded in obtaining 391 data. To answer the desired research objectives, the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) approach was chosen to find out which aspects need to be improved in online learning. The research results show that three attributes have the lowest performance values, namely the use of online learning platforms for various forms of learning resources, information about online learning, and ease of use of the LMS platform. These results have implications for policymaking and these three elements need to be prioritized for improvement. This study provides strong theoretical and practical support for improving online learning in terms of important aspects that support student satisfaction

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) quality control system at an Indonesian palm oil mill, focusing on procedures, methods, and technologies used, as well as the challenges in maintaining product quality according to company standards. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed thematically and through Juran’s Trilogy framework, encompassing quality planning, quality control, and quality improvement. The quality control system involves the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manual sorting, Statistical Quality Control (SQC), manual testing, Foss NIRS technology, and data reporting via paper-based forms, WhatsApp, Excel, SAP, and the WD application. Identified challenges include inconsistent adherence to SOPs, delayed reporting, limited technological use, and weak interdepartmental coordination. The analysis indicates that while quality planning and control are adequately implemented, quality improvement remains suboptimal. Recommendations include staff training, SOP simplification, real-time reporting systems, enhanced cross-divisional coordination, and supplier development. Gradual implementation of these strategies is expected to enhance system effectiveness and support long-term sustainability.
