Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the NUP (Ordering Number) sales method used by property developers to market housing units before official launch or project completion. While some developers report strong sales outcomes using this model, others fall short of targets. The research aims to examine whether compensation, training, experience, product knowledge, and competitive advantage influence the sales performance of property agents involved in NUP-based sales. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 123 property agents from Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Gresik, selected through purposive sampling based on criteria such as experience with NUP sales, product knowledge training, and tenure in the property sector. Data collection was conducted via online questionnaires during March–April 2025, and analysis was performed using Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS 25.0. Results show that, simultaneously, all five variables—compensation, training, experience, product knowledge, and competitive advantage affect sales performance. However, in partial testing, only compensation, training, and experience have a significant positive impact, while product knowledge and competitive advantage do not. The coefficient of determination (R²) indicates that 27% of the variance in sales performance is explained by the five tested variables, leaving 73% attributed to other factors not covered in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how information flow, information adequacy, interaction supportiveness, and job engagement impact organizational commitment. A descriptive and verificative approach was employed to examine the relationship between information flow, information adequacy, and interaction supportiveness on organizational commitment, with job engagement as the intervening variable. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and literature reviews involving a sample of 250 employees selected using accidental sampling. Hypothesis testing was conducted using path analysis with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results show that information adequacy and job engagement have a direct influence on organizational commitment among Generation Y employees in the Surabaya–Sidoarjo area, while information flow and interaction supportiveness do not have a direct effect. However, the three variables (information flow, information adequacy, and interaction supportiveness) were found to significantly affect job engagement. Furthermore, job engagement was proven to mediate the effect of information flow, information adequacy, and interaction supportiveness on organizational commitment.

Abstract

The increasing reliance on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed how public sector institutions operate, creating not only improvement but also new challenges for employees. This study investigates the impact of technostress on employee well-being using the Job Demand–Resource (JD-R) framework. Data was collected from 364 auditors at The Financial and Development Supervisory Board (BPKP) through a non-probability sampling and analyzed using SmartPLS. The findings reveal that technostress creators significantly increase burnout and reduce work engagement, while technostress inhibitors mitigate these effects by reducing burnout and enhancing work engagement. The study further confirms the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between technostress and burnout, highlighting its importance as a psychological resource. Unlike previous research, which predominantly focused on healthcare and academic professionals, this study provides new insight into the effects within the public sector context, particularly among auditors in Indonesia. The findings offer practical implications for improving employee well-being through better digital support systems.

Abstract

This study analyzes the dynamics of systematic risk (Beta), expected rate of return (Ke), and Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) in 108 mining companies in ASEAN EXCHANGE, comparing the pre-COVID-19 period (2017–2019) andPost-COVID-19 (2020–2022). This study uses quantitative analysis to examine the effects of commodity classification and exchange location (ExchangeCode), including ANOVA and ANCOVA. The results show high Beta variability. Although the average sector Beta increases post-pandemic, the change between periods is not statistically significant at the firm level. ExchangeCode is consistently a substantial determinant of Beta, while Commodity and Status are generally insignificant. Aggregate expected returns (Ke) increase moderately post-COVID, with varying trends across commodities. Beta is shown to be the dominant predictor of Ke, followed by ExchangeCode, which has a significant effect, while other factors have little impact in the ANCOVA model. The average sector WACC decreases slightly post-COVID, likely due to lose monetary policy, but significant variation across exchanges remains (e.g., high IDX, low SGX). The effects of exchange Code, Commodity, and Status on WACC are statistically proven to be small. In conclusion, exchange location and systematic risk (Beta) are crucial factors that influence the cost of equity capital and risk profile of ASEAN mining companies, which are more dominant than commodity type or uniform impact of the pandemic. Changes in WACC are more macroeconomic, but the effect is heterogeneous across markets.

Abstract

This study aimed to ascertain the Knowledge Management (KM) maturity level at a technology-driven, open and distance education university in Indonesia. KMM was assessed across three core indicators: people, process, and technology. To capture respondent perceptions, each indicator was delineated into five progressive levels, with every level featuring at least one statement requiring respondent endorsement. Respondents' agreement was measured using a 5-point or a 2-point response scale. The study population comprised all university staff (lecturers and administrators); utilizing simple random sampling, and 157 valid responses were collected. The findings revealed that the People indicator scored Level 2 (60.6%) and the Process indicator also at Level 2 (65.2%), while the Technology indicator demonstrated a significantly higher maturity at Level 5 (70.5%). This indicates that the maturity of both the People and Process dimensions remains comparatively low relative to Technology. Consequently, strategic interventions are essential to enhance these indicators, thereby contributing to the improved management and development of distance education institutions.

Abstract

Brand activism has become a significant strategy for companies seeking to engage socially conscious consumers, particularly among Generation Z and Millennials. This study investigates how consumers’ perceptions of brand activism influence brand loyalty, focusing on the mediating roles of brand attitude and brand trust. Guided by the Elaboration Likelihood Model, the research analyzes the effects of perceived issue novelty, controversy, argument quality, authenticity, and motives on brand evaluation. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data through an online survey of Indonesian consumers familiar with a brand activism campaign. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Results show that perceived argument quality and authenticity significantly influence brand trust, which in turn enhances brand loyalty. The findings suggest that building trust through clear, authentic messaging is key to successful brand activism. This study offers valuable insights for marketers in crafting campaigns that resonate with socially aware audiences and foster long-term consumer relationships.
