Abstract

The family is the smallest unit of society that affects the lives of drug users undergoing rehabilitation programs. Family can be a source of social support for substance users in solving problems through perception. The perception of family support is a source of social support to foster confidence in drug rehabilitation programs. This study aims to determine the level of family support for substance users undergoing drug rehabilitation programs and recommendations for individual, group, and family counselling services. This study used a descriptive research type with the subject N = 217. The research subjects consisted of male and female genders; the data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the category of substance users' perceptions of family support had a low level. The types of users at a deficient level were 2.30%, the low level was 57.14%, the high level was 33.18%, and the very high level was 7.37%. These findings prove that the family's influence is still very minimal for users to recover during rehabilitation. The contribution of family perceptions supports beliefs about recovering from drug addiction. The addiction counsellor profession from guidance and counselling graduates needs to implement family counselling services in collaboration with families in developing perceptions of drug addicts. Recommendations from this study's results are the implementation of family counselling services and support from families in concrete, emotional, informational, and reward.

Abstract

Pengguna internet semakin berkembang pesat karena kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Hampir semua masyarakat di dunia menggunakan internet dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Semakin berkembangnya teknologi juga berpengaruh terhadap pemberian layanan bimbingan dan konseling terutama di sekolah. Di era globalisasi ini, layanan konseling online atau cyber counseling sangat dibutuhkan para konselor atau guru bimbingan konseling karena dapat memberikan layanan tanpa terbatas jarak dan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas mengenai penerapan cyber counseling di sekolah. Diketahui ada beberapa cara yang digunakan untuk melakukan konseling online, diantaranya yaitu: melalui email, facebook, chat asynchronous, aplikasi riliv, video conference, handphone, dan website. Para guru bimbingan konseling dan konselor diharapkan untuk terus meningkatkan kemampuan dalam menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan prototipe 2 aplikasi “Kawan SMK” untuk meningkatkan perencanaan studi lanjut siswa SMK di Kota Surakarta. Penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall (1983) yang dilaksanakan hingga tahap main product revision atau revisi produk yang dilakukan setelah uji validitas ahli menggunakan inter-rater agreement pada dua ahli bimbingan dan konseling dan dua ahli media. Hasil uji validitas ahli produk aplikasi “Kawan SMK” yang dilakukan pada dua ahli bimbingan dan konseling menunjukkan bahwa produk memiliki validitas tinggi (0,89 dan 0,95), sehingga pengembangan prototipe aplikasi “Kawan SMK” layak digunakan sebagai media layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Pengembangan aplikasi “Kawan SMK” memiliki beberapa kelebihan, diantaranya adalah produk dapat digunakan sebagai media layanan bimbingan konseling secara efektif dan efisien, produk tidak hanya dapat digunakan oleh siswa SMK kelas 12 namun juga siswa kelas 10 dan 11, produk dapat membantu siswa SMK memperoleh pengetahuan tentang pendidikan lanjutan secara mudah, dan produk memberi kemudahan guru BK dalam pemberian layanan kepada siswa tanpa harus bertatap muka. Aplikasi “Kawan SMK” dapat digunakan oleh guru BK sebagai salah satu media dalam pemberian layanan perencanaan individual bagi siswa SMK untuk meningkatkan perencanaan studi lanjut.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a game media of Snakes and Ladder of Faith which is effective for increasing the self-efficacy of students at SMP Negeri 2 Krian. This research and development method uses a research and development procedure with the following steps: 1) preliminary study, 2) media development, and 3) media testing. Based on the material expert's assessment, an average score of 0.46 was obtained which was categorized as quite feasible. Based on the media expert's assessment, an average score of 0.69 was obtained with the feasible category.  The results of the user test assessment obtained results of 92.3% with the very valid category or can be used without revision. Based on the results of the limited field test, it was obtained that tcount 4.058> ttable 3.182 and Sig (2tailed) 0.027 <0.05, so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  So it can be concluded that the game media, Snake and Ladder of Faith, is effective for increasing student self-efficacy.

Abstract

Evaluation of guidance and counseling services should ideally be conducted periodically and continuously. Appropriate evaluation procedures will provide many benefits for teachers Guidance and counseling. Evaluation gives teacher guidance and counseling feedback to develop and improve programs. Evaluations also provide information to leaders about student development and improvement efforts. Proper evaluation results will help the counselor in achieving the goals of guidance and counseling services. This study aims to determine how the evaluation process is in high school. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are interviews and observation. The sampling technique was carried out through a nonprobability sampling procedure. The results of this study indicate diversity in the evaluation process carried out by high schools. There are 6 (six) types of evaluations conducted by guidance and counseling teachers in high schools. The results of the study also illustrate the evaluation techniques and the purpose of schools conducting evaluations. We hope that the results of this study can provide information to improve the quality of evaluation in the Guidance and Counseling services in Indonesia.

Abstract

Masalah kecemasan akibat pandemi COVID-19 perlu mendapat perhatian khusus untuk diatasi. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah melalui konseling, dengan alternatif pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavor Therapy (REBT). Dalam hal ini, cyber counseling dapat dilakukan karena kondisi sekarang yang mengharuskan untuk physical distancing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ciri atau gejala kecemasan akibat pandemi COVID-19, serta kontribusi pendekatan Rational Emotive Behavor Therapy (REBT) melalui cyber counseling untuk mengatasi kecemasan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Purposive sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini, di mana subyek penelitian adalah konseli yang memiliki masalah kecemasan akibat pandemi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pertama, ciri kecemasan subyek, meliputi aspek fisik, kognitif, emosi, dan perilakunya. Kedua, subyek mampu mengatasi kecemasan yang dialaminya. Ketiga, subyek mampu mengontrol pikiran negatif yang ditimbulkan akibat pandemi. Keempat, subyek dapat lebih menerima kondisi yang terjadi akibat pandemi. Kelima, subyek mampu melakukan kegiatan aktifnya sebagaimana biasanya meskipun terbatas, dengan memperhatikan protokol kesehatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya mahasiswa kurang mampu dalam mengembangkan potensi intelektual dan emosional yang secara bertahap dapat mencapai prestasi akademik dan sekaligus kecerdasan emosional yang memuaskan. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode penggalian data melalui observasi wawancara mendalam pada subjek tunggal pada fokus upaya mahasiswa kurang mampu dalam mengembangkan potensi intelektual dan emosional. Upaya pengembangan intelektual dan emosional dicapai dengan upaya pembiasaan diri, mengenali diri dan memotivasi diri. Pembisaan diri pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan rasionalitas kehidupan dari kondisi keterbatasan ekonomi keluarga menstimulasi untuk mengenali diri secara mendalam sehingga memotivasi diri untuk terus berubah dari keterpurukan ekonomi. Secara berimbang antara proses intelektual berkembang, kemampuan emosional berjalan secara linier pada mahasiswa kurang mampu. Baginya potensi intelektual berjalan selaras dengan potensi emosional.

Abstract

With no face-to-face classes until a vaccine is available, schools have to adjust and learning must continue in different modalities. In the Philippines, online learning delivery is the primary mode of learning with many private schools adapting it. Learning continuity plan was created and the Department of Education set the most essential learning competencies for school year 2020-2021. Since education is a holistic approach, the mental and emotional well-being of the students must also be given significant attention. Counseling, a strong support in the welfare of the students, is needed to address the different concerns of the students. However, guidance counselors see a lot of challenges in providing counseling to students in an online environment. They have doubts in being truly present with the students. Potential mental and emotional health issues have been identified and preparations were made that will make the guidance and counseling services more felt and reliable despite being in an online modality. This study aims to find out the challenges that the guidance counselors encountered in providing counseling service to students. It also aims to identify the issues and concerns experienced by the students in online learning and the interventions provided by the guidance counselors in handling them. It found out that mental health issues, feeling of isolation, voluminous requirements and unstable internet connection were the concerns of the students. In addressing them, they provided individual and group counseling, communicated with the parents, collaborated more closely with the class advisers, teachers, and academic heads, strengthened the homeroom and guidance period, and held mental health activities. From the experiences, their realizations and new gained insights will be used as bases in enhancing the guidance and counseling program for school year 2021-2022.
