Abstract

The students ability to solve mathematical problems are affected directly or indirectly by their pattern of problem solving when they were attending primary and secondary schools. The result of observation shows that there are students who can not answer proving problem and take no action at all, thoughit is only at the step of understanding the problem. NEA is a frame work with simple diagnostic procedures, which include (1) decoding, (2) comprehension, (3) transformation, (4) process skills, and (5) encoding. Newman’s developed diagnostic method is used to identify the error categories of descriptive test answer. Therefore, the descriptive types of students’ error in proving problem solving in Geometry 1 subject based on Newman’s error Analysis (NEA), and what are the causes for the student’s mistakes in solving those proving problem, especially in Geometry1 subject is interesting to be discussed in this article. Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika secara langsung ataupun tidak langsung dipengaruhi oleh pola penyelesaian soal pada saat mahasiswa duduk di bangku sekolah dasar maupun menengah. Hasil pengamatan peneliti menujukkan bahwa masih terdapat mahasiswa yang tidak bisa menjawab soal pembuktian dan tidak melakukan tindakan apapun, meskipun hanya pada tahapanunderstand the problem. NEA merupakan kerangka kerja dengan prosedur diagnostik sederhana, yang meliputi (1) decoding, (2) comprehension, (3)transformation, (4) processskill, dan (5) encoding. Metode diagnostik yang dikembangkan Newman ini digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kategori kesalahan terhadap jawaban dari sebuah tes uraian. Sehingga bagaimana deskripsi jenis kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pembuktian pada mata kuliah Geometri 1 berdasarkan Newman’s Error Analysis(NEA), dan apa saja penyebab kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pembuktian, khususnya pada mata kuliah Geometri 1, menarik untuk dibahas dalam tulisan ini.

Abstract

This research is meant to describe the students’ understanding of Mathematics Concept related to non-routine problem in contour Shapes. This research is a qualitative research. The subject of this research are 25 students of fourth (VI) grade of SDN Mojorejo 02 Kota Batu. The data are collected through students’ response on a test given. Based on the result of this research shows that students are still unable to use Mathematics concept well in solving some problems (still tent to be procedural), students are still unable to compare by presenting alternative solution aside from response obtained, students’ mastery and understanding concept of Mathematics in solving non-routine questions are still low. Teachers are hoped to be able to provide non-routine questions in order to allow students to be accustomed with and develop ability in relation to problem solving Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kaitannya dengansoal non-rutin pada materi bangun datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV (empat) SDN Mojorejo 02 Kota Batu yang berjumlah 25. Data diperoleh melalui hasil respon/jawaban tes siswa. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh bahwa siswa belum dapat dengan baik menggunakan konsep-konsep matematika dalam menyelesaiakan masalah (masih cenderung prosedural), siswa belum dapat membandingkan dengan menyajikan alternatif solusi yang lain dari respon yang diperoleh, penguasaan dan pemahaman konsep matematika dalam menyelesaikan soal non-rutin masih rendah. Diharapkan guru dapat memberikan soal non-rutin agar siswa terbiasa dan mengembangkan kemampuannya kaitannnya dengan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

This research is meant to explain the problem solving efford which is found in academic supervision toward teachers of Mathematics in some guided schools, explains the problem solving steps by the supervisor in guided schools, and shows the teaching quality improvement by the Mathematics teachers in those guded schools. This research was done to some guded schools where ten Mathematics teachers of Senior High Schools or Vocational High School in Kulon Progo District are the subject. The strategy for improving the quality of Mathematics teaching application is through treatment of companion teaching in active sharing knowledge for instance through planning, the step of treatment in the teaching, teaching procedures and class management. The result of acompaniying the teachers of Mathematics shows that Mathematics teachers in Kulon Progo Distric still need some guidance from the supervisors especially in term of innovative teaching process, where most teachers lack of motivation, the Active Sharing Knowledge method can improve the activism of the teachers through out the whole teaching activities, improve the quality of teaching process, students’ activism, concept mastery and teacher’s skills in teaching process as can be seen as followed: the teaching quality of Mathematics teachers using Active Sharing Knowledge is 5%, student’s participations is 46%, while teachers’ mastery of the concept is 14%, and positive reflection as a result of Mathematics Teachers guided teaching implementation using Active Sharing Knowledge where 84% stated agree and totally agree. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan upaya pemecahan masalah yang ditemukan dalam supervisi akademik terhadap guru-guru Matematika disekolah binaan, menjelaskan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah yang ditempuh pengawas  disekolah binaan, dan menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran guru-guru Matematika di sekolah Binaan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada sekolah binaan dengan objek Guru-Guru Matematika SMA/SMK di Kabupaten Kulon Progo sejumlah sepuluh orang guru Matematika. Strategi peningkatan kualitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran  Matematika adalah melalui treathment pendampingan pembelajaran Active Sharing Knowledge antara lain tahap perencanaan, tahap treatmen pembelajaran  Active Sharing Knowledge, prosedur pembelajaran Active Sharing Knowledge, dan pengelolaan kelas. Hasil pendampingan terhadap sepuluh orang guru matematika binaan, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa Guru-guru matematika di Kabupaten Kulon Progo ternyata masih sangat memerlukan pendampingan dari pengawas khususnya mengenai pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran inovatif, masih perlu adanya motivasi pengawas terhadap guru matematika, metode Active Sharing Knowledge dapat mengoptimalkan keaktifan guru dan siswa dari awal hingga akhir pembelajaran, meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, penguasaan konsep, dan keterampilan guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun besaran peningkatan tersebut sebagai berikut ini. Kualitas pembelajaran guru-guru Matematika dengan  Active Sharing Knowledge sebesar 5%. Besarnya peningkatan keaktifan siswa mencapai 46%, sedangkan  peningkatan penguasaan konsep Matematika mencapai 14%. Diperoleh refleksi positif dari hasil pendampingan pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru-guru Matematika dengan Active Sharing Knowledge sebesar 84% menyatakan setuju dan sangat setuju.

Abstract

The elementary school is the starting point of formal education in Indonesia. In this study used is a public primary schools Bejirejo Kunduran Blora District of the academic year 2013/2014. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bejirejo, teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket motivasi. Uji pendahuluan menggunakan linearitas dan signifikansi. Sedangkan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Abstract

This research is meant to identify the critical thinking of X grade students of Science-class in SMAK Santo Albertus, Malang. Data of this research is collected from students test result related to critical thinking test as well as the result of interview done by the researcher with the teacher and students. Data analysis will be done after the treatment and all data are collected. Data analysis technique used in this research is flow model which includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. Identification result of students’ critical thinking of X grade in Science-6 class of SMAK Santo Albertus Malang shows that there are three levels in critical thinking, namely ; students with Thinking level of “Critical”, students with thinking level of “less critical”, and students with thinking level of “Not critical”. The result of this research provides information for teachers related to students’ critical thinking, therefore, this research can give some reflection for the teacher in designing the next Mathematics teaching activities and help teacher in designing standard teaching development which improves students’ critical thinking.  Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sangat memerlukan berpikir kritis dalam proses belajar siswa. Siswa perlu berpikir kritis untuk memikirkan dan memahami masalah dari berbagai sudut pandang. Sehigga berpikir kritis bukan sekedar proses menghafal, melainkan suatu proses yang dapat mengubah pola berpikir seseorang secara kritis dalam menghadapi suatu masalah. Mengingat pentingnya berpikir kritis, maka dalam penelitian akan di identifikasi berpikir kritis  siswa  kelas  X  IPA-6  SMAK  Santo  Albertus  Malang.  Data  dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil pekerjaan siswa terkait tes berpikir kritis serta hasil wawancara peneliti dengan guru dan siswa. Analisis data akan dilakukan setelah pemberian tindakan dan semua data terkumpul. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah model alir (flow model) yang meliputi kegiatan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil identifikasi berpikir kritis siswa kelas X IPA-6 SMAK Santo Albertus Malang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga tingkatan dalam berpikir kritis, yaitu siswa dengan tingkatan berpikir “kritis”, siswa dengan tingkatan berpikir “kurang kritis”, dan siswa dengan tingkatan berpikir “tidak kritis”. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi kepada guru mengenai berpikir kritis siswa, sehingga penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan refleksi bagi guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran matematika selanjutnya  dan membantu guru dalam menetapkan tolak ukur pengembangan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine (1) how the implementation of learning mathematics using problem-based learning model of learning. In addition, to describe (2) how the students use the communication skills of mathematical learning model of problem-based learning. This study includes qualitative research, this kind of research using qualitative descriptive. The collection of data through observation, documentation, written test and interview. Data was taken two stages. The first stage is to give a written test instrument. The second stage is the interview of the subject selected. Making the research subjects were divided into three levels, namely a high skill level, ability level medium and low skill levels. Conclusion The results of this study were (1) reached learning the syntax or the suitability of the activities of teachers with lesson plans that have already been designed in using learning model of problem-based learning is progressing well with the percentage 84.97% or in the excellent category. While the activities of students during the learning progress with the learning model of problem-based learning has been performing well and is successful where the percentage reached 88.27% or in the excellent category.As for the students mathematical communication skills in general in both criteria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran  problem based  learning. Selain itu juga untuk mendeskripsikan (2) bagaimana kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning.Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif, jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, tes tertulis dan wawancara.Pengambilan data dilakukan dua tahap.Tahap pertama adalah memberikan instrumen tes tertulis.Tahap kedua adalah tes wawancara terhadap subyek terpilih. Pengambilan subjek penelitian dibagi dalam tiga tingkatan yaitu tingkat kemampuan tinggi, tingkat kemampuan sedang, dan tingkat kemampuan rendah.Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) keterlaksanaan sintak pembelajaran atau kesesuaian aktivitas guru dengan RPP yang telah dirancang sebelumnya dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran  problem based learning  berlangsung dengan baik dengan prosentasenya 84,97%  atau dalam kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning sudah terlaksana dengan baik dan bisa dikatakan berhasil dimana prosentasenya mencapai 88,27% atau dalam kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa secara umum dalam kriteria baik.

Abstract

This research is meant to develop innovative teaching equipment which able to improve as well as conserve the culture through Mathematics learning. Learning equipment which is developed are in the form of students’ book and LKS (Student’s Work Book) of Mathematics subject of  VIIth grade concerning with the culture of Javanese and Maduries who lives in Jember district. This developmental study is planned in three steos, namely; theorethical study and needs analysis, formulation of learning equipments, as well as testing the equipments and eksperiment. The Model used in this research is developmental model of ADDIE, which divided into 5 phases, namely; Analysing, Designing, Developing, Implementing and Evalualing. The subject of this research are three students of VII grade of SMP (Junior High School). The product of this research is students book which based on Javanese and Maduries culture. The result of this research shows that students’ learning test in Squares subject based on Javanese and Maduries culture are good, with rate of 83,33. It can be conclude that students’ book of VII SMP which based on Javanese and Maduries culture in Squares Shapes material are effective to be used in teaching. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat menumbuhkan  dan melestarikan budaya melalui pembelajaran matematika. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa  buku siswa dan LKS mata pelajaran Matematika kelas VII yang dikaitkan dengan budaya masyarakat Jawa Dan Madura yang ada di kabupaten Jember. Penelitian pengembangan ini direncanakan berlangsung dalam tiga tahap. Pertama, kajian teori dan analisis kebutuhan. Kedua, perumusan perangkat pembelajaran sesuai dengan hasil analisis kebutuhan. Ketiga, uji coba perangkat dan eksperimen. Pada penelitian ini model yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terbagi dalam 5 fase, yaitu: 1) Fase Analisis, 2) Fase Desain, 3) Fase Development, 4) Fase Implementasi  5) Fase Evaluasi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP sebanyak 3 orang. Produk pada penelitian ini yaitu buku siswa yang berbasis budaya Jawa dan Madura. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, tes belajar siswa materi keluarga segi empat berdasarkan budaya Jawa dan Madura, baik, dengan rerata 83,33. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku siswa kelas VII SMP berbasis budaya Jawa dan Madura pada materi segiempat efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is meant to understand whether or not the implementation of CTL Model can improve student’s interest and participation in learning of First year students of Calculus 1 class in their first semester of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro in academic year of 2015/2016. The result shows that the application of CTL model can improve student’s interest and participation in learning of first year students in Calculus 1class in IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro in academic year of 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Penerapan model Pembelajaran CTL dapat meningkatkan Minat dan Partisipasi belajar Mahasiswa Tingkat I Semester I pada Mata Kuliah Kalkulus I di IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CTL dapat meningkatkan Minat dan Partisipasi Belajar Mahasiswa  tingkat I semester I pada mata kuliah Kalkulus I di IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016.
