Abstract

Residential area diversity became a challenge in building area information extraction especially when associated with the extensive space of residential areas formed in Indonesia. Using high resolution RGB aerial photographs with nDSM height data support, transferable GEOBIA developed to overcome the challenges and problems. Master rulesets arranged in the main area and applied to several test areas to compliment the characteristics as well as the stability of accuracy that can be produced. Segmentation and classification multilevel technique adapted in master ruleset to achieve best results with the lightest processing load. Transferable GEOBIA ruleset proved to provide accurate information of reliable building area on various characteristics of residential area. In the main area, the accuracy value reaches 91.25% while in other test areas the accuracy exceeds 85% which is 92.22%, 86.19% and 92.73%.

Abstract

Bangka Belitung Province has large tin excavation pits. Water that fills the large aperture contains harmful metals that are difficult to utilize. To anticipate it, the tin excavation pit can be used as a medium of hyacinth cultivation. This study aims to examine the benefits of hyacinth cultivation in the tin excavation pit. The methods used are survey, literacy study, and documentation. The results show that the tin excavation pit can be used as a medium of water hyacinth cultivation. The cultivation of hyacinth in the tin excavation pit provides several benefits, i.e. (1) absorbing the metal content of Pb and Cd; (2) as biogas material to produce 3,425 MW of electricity; (3) hyacinth can "reclaim" naturally; and (4) as traditional handicraft material to increase economy.

Abstract

The ecosystem of the seashore and the ocean consist of mangrove, seagrass beds, and brackish mars which can pervade the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the ocean in the bigger amount than the forest does. That kind of ecosystem known as the Blue Carbon Ecosystem. Ecosystem service mapping is the most important step in the valuation, because it shows important information about ecosystem service of certain area in the bigger scale. This research is aimed to map the ecosystem of mangrove and seagrass beds which exist in small island. This blue carbon ecosystem mapping used remote sensing technology by using satellite imagery Landsat-8. Normalized difference vegetation Index (NDVI) method used to map the ecosystem of mangrove. While, to map the seagrass beds ecosystem used unattended clarification method after going through the correction of water column of Depth-Invariant Index (DII). The final result shows that Pramuka Island has mangrove ecosystem wider than two Islands around it., while the widest seagrass ecosystem is in Panggang Island. It happens because the ecosystem of mangrove in the research location is the result of mangrove planting activity, and it is different with the ecosystem of seagrass which grew naturally. Mangrove planting activity is more focused to Pramuka Island.

Abstract

Nowadays, fresh water availability is a problem and require serious attention from all parties. Urbanization in Kayuambon Village causes highly growth population and require fresh water to support the needs, it resources come from groundwater. This research aims to determine the groundwater direction and accumulation based on groundwater modeling using IDW, Kriging, Spline, and Minimum Curvature interpolation techniques. Result shows that Kriging interpolation technique has the highest validity then others with ME = 0.316833, RMSE = 10.68147, and R2 = 0.88934. Groundwater modeling results also found that Kayuambon Village has two cone of depression are located in the central and northern of the village which known as concentration of groundwater flow. This study is expected to be a consideration for people and stakeholders to realize sustainable groundwater utilization.

Abstract

Kata Kunci : Pengalaman Bencana, Kesiapsiagaan, Peserta Didik ABSTRACTOne factor that can affect individual’s preparedness is disaster’s experience in the past, whether it was experienced directly or not. Disaster’s experience will be a useful knowledge in the future. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of disaster’ experience on students’ preparedness in Banda Aceh using survey as the research methods. There are 90 participants in this study. The data was analyzed using the simple linear regression. The result shows that disaster’s experience affected students’ preparedness, even though the correlation is not high. However, the students’ preparedness in facing the threat of earthquake and tsunami is very ready. Thus, for increasing and maintaining the students’ preparedness, school can utilize the earthquake and tsunami sites on the learning process as a learning material, and also utilize the manual book of preparedness. Keyword : Disaster’s experience, Preparedness, Students
