Abstract

Background: Children with malnutrition will experience disruption of physical growth and mental development, have lower IQ ( intelligence quotient ) and susceptible to infection (Ministry of Health, 2012). Only little nutritious food is consumed by children because at this age problems often arise, especially in feeding because of the difficulty of eating in children. Role play methods can change behavior. According to Tejasari, (2011) nutritional status is influenced by the family's attention through feeding, nurture, and health care where parents, especially mothers have a significant role in determining the nutritional status of children to prevent stunting. To determine the effect of role playing therapy in under five-year-old children and mothers in providing balanced nutritional feeding for under five-year-old children to prevent stuntingMetode: The design used in this study is quasi experiment.  Pre-posttest control group design is used with the design of start and end with the comparison group. The population of this study is mothers who have under five-year-old children. Furthermore, sampling is done by purposive sampling method . This research will measure before and after treatment using a single intervention group with time series design. The treatment given is role playing therapy in a group of under five-year-old children with 3 treatments for one month. Data collection using questionnaire sheets and the data obtained will be analyzed using a statistical Paired Sample T Test to find out the difference in balanced nutritional feeding for under five-year-old children before and after treatment.Result: This study shows that a significant difference p 0.05, which means that  therapy of role play about providing balanced nutritional food to respondents between the intervention group and the control group is different after doing role play therapy. Conclusion: This study shows that a significant difference p 0.05, which means that  therapy of role play about providing balanced nutritional food to respondents between the intervention group and the control group is different after doing role play therapy

This study used pre-experimental research design with pretest-posttest approach with a total sample were 28 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality. Wilcoxon test was used to analyze difference of pre and post-test and Mann Whitney test was used to analyze between each treatment. Limitation of statistical tests of significance was p=0.05.Result: The results showed respondents' average age was 58.14 years, 75% were female with elementary educational employment as housewife. While the level of pain prior to stretching exercisesan average of 6.46. After Mc.Kenzie Exercise and William's Flexion Exercise (WFE) for 2 month sequally influence the decrease in the degree of pain, but there is differences on the effects of stretching exercises between Mc.Kenzie and William method. William method is better than Mc.Kenzie method to decrease the level of pain in patients with LBP with the difference in the level of pain the average value on Mc.Kenzie Exercise 0.21 and1.07 at William's Flexion Exercise. Conclusion: It can be concluded that both methods are able to decrease the level of pain in LBP but William's Flexion Exercise method is better than the Mc.Kenzie Exercise.
