Methods: Walker and Avants's method for concept analysis is used in this paper. This paper defines the attributes using the eight-step Walker and Avant’s process of concept analysis method, such as the main objectives of the concept analysis process are to identify the attributes and provide researchers with a precise definition of the concept. Therefore, this analysis can provide a conceptualized definition of hyperbilirubinemia, phototherapy and nonmaleficence. The search method performing a literature searching PUBMED, Science Direct, ProQuest, and Google Scholar databases using the keywords hyperbilirubinemia, phototherapy, and nonmaleficence as key word and title. Published materials conducted from 2000 to 2023 in English or Indonesian.  Results: The concept analysis showed that health workers in providing health care efforts must always be with the intention of helping patients overcome their health problems. Abstract

Background: Autism is a developmental disorder that cannot be cured but its symptoms can be reduced with therapy. One therapy for autistic children is ABA behavioral therapy. The success of ABA behavioral therapy is greatly influenced by the level of compliance of autistic children. Disobedience in autistic children is influenced by the anxiety that occurs, this is because autistic children who are used to living in their world must carry out tasks in the ABA method of behavioral therapy. Lavender aromatherapy has been widely used to reduce anxiety. Lavender aromatherapy is expected to reduce anxiety levels thereby increasing compliance scores in autistic children. Objective: To determine the difference in compliance scores of autistic children when undergoing ABA behavioral therapy without and with lavender aromatherapy. Methods: The research was a post-test control group design. The sample consisted of 12 autistic children recruited using a purposive sampling method. The intervention is the ABA therapy with lavender aromatherapy made of 20 drops in 100 ml. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon difference test Results: The average compliance score for autistic children without aromatherapy was 34.54 ± 17.02, while the average compliance score for autistic children with aromatherapy was 46.76 ± 18.98 (z= 0.013, p= 0.05). The ABA with lavender aromatherapy effectively improves the compliance of autistic children. Conclusion: There was a significant difference between the compliance scores of autistic children when ABA behavioral therapy was carried out without and with lavender aromatherapy.

Abstract

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder in which the body does not produce enough insulin or the glucose level in the blood exceeds the normal limit, which is >130 mg/dL for fasting blood sugar levels. There are 4 pillars of management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, including nutrient therapy and pharmacology. Diabetic patients can apply nutrient therapy by adjusting the diet with the 3J principles (amount, schedule, and type). Pharmacological therapy can be carried out by routinely taking antidiabetic drugs according to the recommended dosage. Objective: The aim of the study was to describe dietary compliance and fasting blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Method: This type of research is a quantitative pre-experimental study with one group pre-test-post-test design, with 34 using a purposive sampling method. The instrument in this study used MMAS-8. Result: The results of the univariate analysis showed that most of the research respondents were women (55.9%) with an age range of 61-70 years (64.7%), last education level was high school (47.1%), privately owned employees (55.9%), and duration of suffering from DM <5 years (100%). Conclusion: A significant relationship exists between diet adherence and fasting blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: Based on this research, it is expected that people with type 2 diabetes mellitus can apply a good diet pattern and regularly consume anti-diabetic drugs according to the recommendations of health workers.

Abstract

Background: The most common diseases experienced by the elderly are Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for hypertension is by consuming starfruit juice and cucumber juice. Starfruit and cucumber both contain potassium and are diuretics that can lower blood pressure. Objective: This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of giving star fruit juice and cucumber juice on blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension. Methods: This study used a quasi-experiment method with a pretest and posttest control group design. This design involves 2 groups (two groups) with a sample of 32 people (16-star fruit juice and 16 cucumber juice group). Star fruit juice and cucumber juice were drunk in the morning before meals for 7 consecutive days with a dose of 100 grams of star fruit and 200 ml of water, 200 grams of cucumber, and 150 ml of water. Results: The results showed that a beverage of cucumber juice lowers significantly systolic blood pressure (p=0.000) and diastolic blood pressure compared with a beverage of star fruit juice (p=0.000). Conclusion: Giving a combination of star fruit juice and cucumber juice for 7 days at a dose of 100 grams of star fruit and 200 ml of water, 200 grams of cucumber, and 150 ml of water is more effective in reducing blood pressure compared to giving only cucumber juice.

Abstract

Background: Handling febrile seizures in toddlers that we often encounter such as putting a spoon into the mouth can cause airway obstruction and lead to difficulty breathing. This can harm the child and make the febrile seizures worse. The efforts were made to improve the mother’s knowledge about handling febrile seizures by using animated educational videos. The attractive animated video helps to understand the materials and increases the mother’s knowledge.
