Abstract

This study examined the effect of intellectual capital on the market value of the company's financial performance as an intervening variable in corporate banking and financial institutions. This study used a -Pulic Value Added Intellectual Coefficients (VAICTM) model to examine the relationship between intellectual capital and the market value of the company's financial performance. The market value is measured by the price to book value (PBV), the company's financial performance is measured by return on equity (ROE). The samples used in this study is the banking companies and financial institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on 2008-2012. Data obtained 274 samples. This study used linear regression to analyze the data and path analysis to determine the effect of mediation. The results showed that intellectual capital had positive effect on the market value of the company, a positive financial performance, and financial performance may mediate the relationship between intellectual capital with the market value of the company.

Abstract

The role of the audit committee continues to be of importance to regulators. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) co-sponsored a Blue Ribbon Committee (BRC) to make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the audit committee. In Indonesia, the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) issued a regulation in 2001. The regulation emphasize all companies (which treaded publicly) must have audit committee. According to Millstein (1999), it is totally consistent that good corporate governance practice points to the audit committee as the focal point for improvement in financial statements. The objective of this study is to investigate whether the announcement of appointing audit committee is reacted by the market. Using a window of 7 days (three days before the announcement date and three days after the announcement dates), the result of this study is the market reacts to the announcement which explain audit committee is eligible to JSX’s standard and ineligible to JSX’s standard. Therefore, the result suggests that the information has information content.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of essential factors that contributing for economic development. The role of women entrepreneur is pivotal in this regard. This study examined factors that influencing the success of women’s entrepreneur. This study used 231 respondents that located in Solo. The data gathered are analyzed by structural equation model. The result indicated that micro, macro, performance and capability positively influenced to the success of entrepreneur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant reciprocal relationship between inflation with interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI), the interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI) with the Composite Index (JCI), and between inflation with Stock Price Index (JCI) using Stasionairity test data, test of Granger Causality, and test VectorAuto Regression (VAR) for the period January 2006 - December 2010. Results of analysis of this study indicate there is a significant reciprocal relationship between inflation with interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBIs), but there is no significant reciprocal relationship between the interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI) with the Composite Index (JCI) ; and also there is no significant reciprocal relationship between the inflation with Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI).

Abstract

Percepatan pembangunan ekonomi dan daya saing industri khususnya UMKM telah menjadi perhatian pemerintah pusat maupun daerah. Terdapat berbagai keterbatasan-keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh UMKM, terutama mengenai rendahnya kualitas SDM, rendahnya kualitas produk UMKM yang disebabkan oleh keterbatasan pengetahuan, peralatan, dan permodalan yang dimiliki oleh para pelaku usaha. Perlu adanya dukungan stakeholder untuk mencari solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Pengembangan usaha kecil dan menengah merupakan bagian dari pembangunan ekonomi jangka panjang untuk mencapai struktur ekonomi yang seimbang. Tetapi adanya perbedaan potensi sumberdaya, keadaan prasarana dan pasar menyebabkan ketimpangan persebaran lokasi dan perlambatan pertumbuhan. Pembangunan ekonomi daerah diartikan sebagai suatu proses dimana Academic, Business, Community dan Goverment (ABCG) mengelola sumberdaya yang ada dan membentuk pola kemitraan diantara mereka untuk menjalankan roda perekonomian di daerah tersebut. Kabupaten Sragen memiliki 7 Klater UMKM yang beberapa diantaranya merupakan produk unggulan daerah. Penelitian ini untuk mengkaji daya saing 3 klaster UMKM yaitu klaster batik, klaster konveksi dan klaster mebel berdasarkan Kriteria Produk Unggulan Daerah (PUD) menurut Permendagri No. 9 tahun 2014. Tujuan yang diharapkan dari penelitian pengukuran daya saing Klaster Batik, Koveksi Dan Mebel di Kabupaten Sragen adalah kontribusi usaha batik, koveksi dan mebel terhadap PDRB, kemiskinan, dan perkembangan wilayah/lokasi klaster serta memberikan masukan bagi kebijakan yang dilakukan terkait dengan peningkatan daya saing klaster UMKM di Kabupaten Sragen. Penelitian ini memberikan masukan bagi pemerintah Kabupaten Sragen untuk memprioritaskan kebijakan pengembangan daya saing klaster batik pada aspek tenaga kerja, bahan baku, manajemen dan harga. Kemudian untuk klaster konveksi, prioritas kebijakan pengembangan yaitu teknologi, pasar, modal dan basis ekonomi. Klaster batik prioritas kebijakan yang harus dikembangkan yaitu aspek sosial budaya. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis LQ dan shift share, Analystic Hierarchy Process (AHP), dan Analisis Topsis.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has the biggest Moslem population in the world. It causes an increase in demand for Islamic products, especially halal food products. The obligation to consume halal products become a huge market potential for food producers to produce halal products. This research aimed to find out the relation of factors that influence the intention to purchase halal food products.This research uses purposive sampling method with 200 respondents consisting of Muslim students from Universitas Gadjah Mada. Structural Equation Modelling was used to analyze existing data. This research uses halal awareness, product ingredients, Islamic brands, halal certification, product quality, and promotion as many factors that influence purchase intention of halal food products. Results showed that halal awareness, product ingredients, Islamic brands, halal certification, and product quality have a significantly positive effect on purchase intention of halal food products, but halal certification and promotion have no significant effect on purchase intention of halal food products.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the service quality and consumer satisfaction to the students of LPK Solocom Surakarta. The method of the research is survey. The population is 200 students and the sample is 75 students. Data was collected by using questionnaire and analyzes by regression. Based on the research result, concluded that (1) the quality of education service is not satisfaction yet: (2) tangible, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance give effect to consumer’s satisfaction of LPK Solocom Surakarta. The results of study indicate that the assurance variable positively affected by consumer satisfaction.  While the variable tangible, reliability, responsiveness and empathy didn’t have an effect on consumer satisfaction.  For the F test, that’s all independent variable affected the consumer’s satisfaction.

Abstract

The PDAM (municipal waterworks) of Semarang city has a long history in giving services toits customers. However, we still have to pay attention to its work performance. This research isconducted to reveal any factors that affecting the performance of the company so that it can complythe working standard determined by the Regulation of Internal Affair Minister No. 47, 1999.The population of the research is the workers of Semarang PDAM with 162 people on structuraland functional jobs as the sample. The result of the data analysis shows that the research models fit well and the entire researchhypothesis can be proven.

Povertyis a classic problemthat has been happening in Indonesia.National Community Empowerment Program(PNPM) is one of thegovernmentprogramsundertakenin an effort tocontrolit.The purposeof this studywas to determine therole ofhuman resource managementin the success ofthe NationalProgramfor Community Empowerment  (PNPM) in the village of Krakitan,Bayat, Klaten. This research is aqualitative descriptive research type (explanatory), while thesampletaken by purposive sampling the sampleintentionally predetermined based on the considerationin accordancewith the intentandpurpose of the studycomprised of stakeholders who knowthe problem sand conditions Krakitan village, Bayat, Klaten.The data was collectedby observation, Interview Guide or key person, where asthe method usedis AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The results ofthe analysis found thatamong manajemnroleof human resourcesisthe most power ful planning (planning) with the eigen vector for 0444 means that44% of the program’ssuccess PNPM Rural Krakitan village, Bayat, Klaten played by planning.
