Abstract

Masalah pengenceran semen segar yaitu adanya pengaruh lama penyimpanan. Kelemahan ini dapat diatasi dengan perlakuan waktu pada semen segar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui viabilitas dan derajat keasaman (pH) semen babi Landrace pada pengencer sitrat kuning telur yang disimpan selama 24 jam. Semen yang digunakan berupa semen segar dari pejantan babi Landrace berusia 1 tahun 8 bulan. Semen dikoleksi dengan metode manual menggunakan induk buatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Februari sampai Maret 2016 menggunakan metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan (R1= 60 menit, R2 = 120 menit, R3 = 180 menit, R4 = 240 menit) dan empat ulangan sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan. Penelitian ini diawali dengan melakukan penampungan semen segar babi Landrace bertempat di Tunbakun, selanjutnya semen segar langsung dievaluasi makroskopis dan mikroskopis di Laboraturium Faperta Universitas Timor. Kemudian dilakukan perlakuan pengenceran terhadap semen segar dengan lama waktu 60 menit, 120 menit, 180 menit, 240 menit, setelah itu diamati viabilitas dan derajat keasaman (pH) semen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan pengencer sitrat kuning telur dalam semen babi Landrace berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0.01) terhadap viabilitas semen babi Landrace dengan persentase R1 60 menit 88.38%, R2 120 menit 52.63%, R3 180 menit 43.38%, dan R4 240 menit 24.00%. Penambahan pengencer sitrat kuning telur memberikan daya hidup terbaik dengan lama waktu penyimpanan selama 180 menit. Sedangkan untuk derajat keasaman (pH) tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P>0.05) dimana nilai rataan pHnya R1 60 menit 5.5, R2 120 menit 5.25, R3 180 menit 5.25 dan R4 20 menit 5.0.

Abstract

Pengembangan usaha peternakan kambing kacang saat ini merupakan salah satu usaha yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara dalam rangka menopang perekonomian keluarga. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi pakan sumber energi terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian, konsumsi dan konversi ransum, kambing kacang jantan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor ternak kambing kacang jantan yang sedang bertumbuh dengan kisaran umur 6 bulan sampai 12 bulan dengan rata-rata berat badan awal adalah 11,77 kg. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari R0=80% rumput alam + 20% lamtoro. R1 = 50% rumput alam + 20% lamtoro + 30% jagung. R2 = 50% rumput alam + 20% lamtoro + 30% dedak padi. R3 = 50% rumput alam + 20% lamtoro + 30% gaplek. Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jagung pakan sumber energi berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap Pertambahan bobot badan harian, konsumsi dan konversi ransum. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, konsumsi bahan kering, pertambahan bobot badan harian dan konversi ransum ternak kambing dapat ditingkatkan dengan penambahan jagung sebagai sumber energi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di RPH Kota Kefamenanu Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara selama 2 bulan dan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan bobot potong terhadap produksi karkas Sapi Bali yang dipotong di RPH Kota Kefamenanu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan melakukan pengukuran langsung ternak sapi yang dipotong di RPH Kota Kefamenanu. Variabel yang diukur meliputi bobot potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, dan berat non karkas. Untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata bobot potong Sapi Bali pada kisaran bobot badan 150-199 kg adalah 177,86 kg, berat karkas 78,76 kg, persentase karkas 44,28%, berat non karkas 99,10 kg, dan persentase non karkas 55,71%. Nilai korelasi bobot potong dengan berat karkas pada kisaran bobot badan 150-199 kg adalah sebesar 0,527 (0,000); bobot potong dan berat non karkas sebesar 0,088 (0,580); bobot potong dan persentase karkas sebesar 0,327 (0,034); dan bobot potong dan persentase non karkas sebesar 0,204 (0,194). Rata-rata bobot potong sapi bali betina kisaran bobot badan 200-250 kg adalah sebesar 226,29, berat karkas 115,10 kg, persentase karkas 50,86 %, berat non karkas 111,91 kg, dan persentase non karkas 49,13%. Nilai korelasi bobot potong dan berat karkas pada kisaran bobot badan 200-250 adalah sebesar 0,527 (0,000); bobot potong dan berat non karkas sebesar 0,088 (0,580); bobot potong dan persentase karkas sebesar 0,327 (0,034); dan bobot potong dan persentase non karkas sebesar 0,204 (0,194). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Sapi Bali dengan bobot potong 150-199 kg memiliki hubungan yang signifikan antara bobot potong dengan berat karkas dan non karkas; sebaliknya, ternak bobot badan 200-250 kg menunjukkan korelasi positif antara bobot potong dengan berat dan persentase karkas. Semakin tinggi bobot potong Sapi Bali semakin meningkat pula produksi karkasnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding probio in feed on live weight, carcass weight, breast weight, upper thigh weight, and lower thighs of broiler chickens. In this study 80 day old broiler chickens (DOC) were used. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) using 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of R0 = 100% commercial feed, R1 = 99.7% commercial feed + 0.3% probio, R2 = 99.5% commercial feed + 0.5% probio and R3 = 99.3% commercial feed + probio 0.7%. The results of analysis of variance showed that the use of probio in commercial feed had no significant effect on body weight, breast weight, upper thigh weight and lower thighs of broiler chickens but had a significant effect on carcass weight (P <0.05). The conclusion from the results of this study is that it can be concluded that the addition of probio in feed up to the level of 0.3% increases the weight of broiler chicken carcasses but does not affect the life weight, carcass percentage, weight and percentage of breast weight, percentage of thigh, upper thigh and lower thigh of broiler chickens at the age of 45 days.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Laen Mane Subdistrict, Malacca District, East Nusa Tenggara Province for one month. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Bali Cattle Fattening Farmer Group Bero Sembada Farmer, Laen Mane District, Malacca District. The method used is purposive sampling with interviews (interview respondents) directly using questionnaire aids and direct observation of the object under study. The variables studied were the characteristics of respondents, acceptance and income of farmer groups. It was concluded that the education level of the Bero Sembada farmer group members was on average an elementary school (84%), with a productive age level and a fairly long experience of raising livestock with dependents ranging from 5-7 people. The average income of farmers in the business of fattening Bali cattle in the Bero Sembada farmer group on a 2-tailed fattening scale provides the best average income with an income of Rp. 8,800,337, - (Rp. 4,400,169, -) per year or a month's income is equivalent to Rp. 733,361 (Rp.366,681). The business is feasible to run as seen from the B / C ratio value of 1.23 which means> 1 so that it is financially feasible on a 2-tailed business scale.

Abstract

TThis research intent to know male bean goat growth that maintained traditional ala by cattleman farmer at Silvan kualin kualin's district Timor's Regency Intermediates south. This research utilize survey method. Started by survey advancing to know breeding ownership state and so long continent. Breed that becomes research object be 41 male bean goats belong to people cattleman with aged different one namely 1 1,5 and 2 years. Variable that is measured in this research covers, wight increase warms up daily, chest circular, long high warm up shoulder. menunjukan's observational result that wight increase warms up male bean goat daily aged 1 1,5 and 2 ala year in a row are 0,087 kg, 0,056 kg. Meanwhile chest circular, long warms up, shoulder high each is 0,078 cm, 0,056 cm, 0,074 cm 0,072 cm, 0,074 cm and 0,057 cm. Conclude this research is aged male bean goat 1 1,5 maintained year on dry season with pemeliharaaan gemabala's system increase fast wight warms up daily, chest circular, long high warm up increase runaway speed shoulder its better of breeding aged male bean goat 2 maintained year on dry season by use of penned system.

Abstract

Results purpose this study was to determine the effect of the application of solid bocation fertilizer made from pig feces with different levels on the growth of marine (Paraserianthes falcataria (L.) Nielsen) . Result use design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications and each replication consisted of 5 so that there were 60 polybags. R0 = Without giving Bocation (control), R1 = Application of Bokashi 500 g / polybag, R2 = Application of Bocation 750 g / polybag, R3 = Application of bocation 1000 g / polybag. Observation variables namely plant height. The results this study showed that administration of solid bokashi at the level of 1000 grams / polybag significantly affected plant height of 12.43 cm, number of leaves 9.93 stems, stem diameter of 0.74 mm. Conclusion of this study is the administration of solid Bocation fertilizer made from pig feces is very effective in increasing the value of soil fertility so that it can increase the growth of marine sengon plants with increasing plant height, number of leaf stalks and stem diameter and administration of solid Bokashi fertilizer based on pig feces at the level of 1000 gr (R3) gave the best results on plant height of 12.43 cm / plant; The number of stalks was 9.93 stalks / plant and stem diameter was 0.74 cm / plant. This result is better than Bokashi 500 gr (R1), 750 gr (R2) and Control (R0) treatments.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out to determine the fermentation time of the quality of solid bokashi fertilizer cow manure. The research took place at the Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Timor for 3 months with the ingredients used were dry cow feces, gamal leaves, rice bran, water, sugar, EM4, while the tools used are spades, scales, dippers, buckets, tarps, sacks, thermometers, and pH meter. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications;R0: bokashi is fermented for 14 days, R1: bokashi is fermented for 21 days, R2: bokashi is fermented for 28 days, R3: bokashi fermented for 35 days while the variables are seen were physical quality (aroma, texture, and color) and chemical quality (N, P, K, and C / N and pH ratio). The data obtained were processed using variance according to the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and the test continued by using Duncan's multiple distance test to see the difference. The results show that the color produced is brown to blackish brown, soil scented, fine textured, normal pH while the chemical qualities produced included in the ideal bokashi category. It was concluded that the length of different solid bokashi fertilizer fermentation provides influence on physical characteristics (color, aroma, texture) and chemistry (N, P, K, C / N ratio and pH) bokashi fertilizer is dense cow manure. The best bokashi fertilizer is 35 days of fermentation.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of pro-bio addition in the feed to weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion of broilers. This study was carried out in the cage’s of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Timor University from September to November, 2018. A total 80 day-old broilers (DOC) were used in the study.The feed utilized were BR1, BR2 and pro-bio. The experiment was designed as a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (commercial feed without probio), P1 (99,7% commercial feed +0.3% probio), P2 (99,5% commercial feed +0.5% probio) and P3 (99.3% commercial feed + 0,7% probio). The variables observed were weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion. The data of weight gain of P0, P1, P2 and P3 were 49,05; 52,53; 48,80 and 53,42 g/bird/day, respectively. The feed consumption were 134,74; 137,21; 138,16 and 139,52 g/bird/day, respectively. The feed conversion were 2,75; 2,62; 2,83 and 2,61, respectively. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the addition of pro-bio had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on feed consumption, whereas weight gain and feed conversion had not significant effect. It was concluded that the addition of probiotics in feed had no effect on weight gain, feed conversion but could have a significant effect on feed consumption.
