Abstract

The aims of this research were to describe: (1) the implementation of drawing college in improving the ability of beginning writing (2) the improvement of beginning writing ability through the implementation of drawing. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The result showed that (1) the implementation makes students actively involved in the learning process (2) the implementation of collage drawing could improve the ability of beginning writing for students with an intellectual disability in the 2nd Grade SDLBTujuan dari penelitian ini mendiskripsikan : mendeskripsikan efek menggambar kolase dalam meningkatan kemampuan menulis permulaan pada siswa tunagrahita. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II SDLB Muhammadiyah Jombang, Jatim. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penerapan menggambar kolase membuat siswa berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran, serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis permulaan pada siswa tunagrahita.

Abstract

The subject in this research who have difficulty on summation nemeracy 1-10. The purpose of this research are to describe: (1) Summation numeracy for 3th grade chilldren with intellectual disability in baseline conditions; (2) Summation numeracy for 3th grade chilldren with intellectual disability after the intervention condition; (3) The influence of smart flanel board media toward summation numeracy for 3th grade chilldren with intellectual disability. This research is an Single Subject Research (SSR) method with A-B-A design. The results of this research is smart flanel board media has an influence toward count numeracy for 3th grade chilldren with intellectual disability.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe of (1) the utilization of tooth doll medium to improve self-development of mentally disabled students, and (2) the improvement of students’ self-development capability by using tooth doll medium for mentally disabled. This research uses classroom action research (CAR). The result showed that (1) the utilization of tooth doll medium make students play an active role in learning. (2) the utilization of tooth doll medium enabled to improve the first graders’ self-development capability. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan (1) pemanfaatan media boneka gigi untuk meningkatkan bina diri siswa tunagrahita, dan (2) peningkatan kemampuan praktik bina diri dengan menggunakan media boneka gigi untuk siswa tunagrahita. Penelitian ini mnenggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) pemanfaatan media boneka gigi membuat siswa berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran, (2) pemanfaatan media boneka gigi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan praktik bina diri siswa tunagrahita kelas I.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang keefektivitasan media kereta api bagi siswa tunarungu kelas IV. Metode penelitaian yang digunakan adalah Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan model desain A-B-A. Berdasarkan pengolahan data diperoleh mean level pada fase baseline-1 sebesar 25%, mean level pada fase intervensi sebesar 84,4%, dan mean level pada fase baseline-2 sebesar 79,8%. Dalam perhitungan persentase overlap antara fase baseline-1 ke fase intervensi sebesar 0%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa media kereta api tiga dimensi terbukti afektif terhadap kemampuan menyebutkan bangun ruang pada siswa tunarungu kelas IV. This study aims to obtain a description of the effectiveness of railway media for students with hearing impairment grade IV. The research method used is Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B-A design model. Based on data processing, the mean level in the baseline-1 phase is 25%, the mean level in the intervention phase is 84.4%, and the mean level in the baseline-2 phase is 79.8%. In the calculation of the percentage overlap between the baseline-1 phase to the intervention phase of 0%. The conclusion of this research that three-dimensional railway media proved effective to the ability to mention wake up space in grade 4 students of deaf.

Abstract

The aims of the research is to study the level of satisfaction among the Special Education Teachers of Southeast Asia countries who attended the 4 weeks training on Co-curricular Activities for SEN Children that was conducted by SEAMEO Regional Center for Special Education (SEAMEO SEN). The aspects studied included the teachers’ satisfaction on the facilities and services provided by SEAMEO SEN, training content, training methods and the evaluation on the facilitators. The study involved 25 participants who are Special Education Teachers whom attended the 4 weeks training course. This is a survey to gain quantitative data using survey as the method of research. The data was analysed descriptively. Silver (1981) Model of Training and Maslow (1954) were used as the foundation to see the relations in the studied constructs. The findings of the research showed that the level of satisfaction of the participants towards services and facilities provided is at min = 4.48, satisfaction towards training content is min= 4.44, training method is min=4.31, quality of facilitator is min= 4.34. Overall, the findings indicated the level of satisfactory is high with overall min is = 4.40 and thus can be summarized that the Special Education Teachers are very satisfied with the training organized by SEAMEO SEN.Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji tahap kepuasan Guru Pendidikan Khas Asia Tenggara (GPKAT) terhadap program latihan Regular Course: Co-Curricular Activities for SEN Children yang dianjurkan oleh SEAMEO Regional Center for Special Education (SEAMEO SEN). Aspek yang diberi perhatian dalam kajian ini merangkumi tahap kepuasan GPKAT terhadap kemudahan dan perkhidmatan yang disediakan oleh SEAMEO SEN, isi kandungan latihan, kaedah latihan dan penilaian GPKAT terhadap kualiti fasilitator. Kajian ini melibatkan seramai 25 orang GPKAT yang menghadiri kursus 4 minggu di SEAMEO SEN. Ini adalah kajian tinjauan untuk mendapatkan data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian. Data telah dianalisis secara diskriptif. Model Latihan yang dipelopori oleh Silver (1981) telah dijadikan asas bagi mendasari kajian ini di samping Teori Hierarki Keperluan Maslow (1954) untuk melihat perkaitan dalam konstruk yang dikaji. Dapatan yang diperolehi daripada keempat-empat aspek yang dikaji adalah seperti berikut. Tahap kepuasan GPKAT terhadap aspek kemudahan dan perkhidmatan yang disediakan memperolehi nilai min=4.48 diikuti tahap kepuasan bagi isi kandungan latihan min=4.44, manakala 4.31 pula adalah min purata bagi kaedah latihan dan min bagi kualiti fasilitator adalah sebanyak 4.34. Secara keseluruhannya, dapatan ini menunjukkan tahap kepuasan GPKAT adalah tinggi dengan min purata adalah 4.40, maka dapat disimpulkan bahawa GPKAT sangat berpuas hati dengan program latihan yang telah dianjurkan oleh SEAMEO SEN.

Abstract

Based on observations, there are problems in IPA learning outcomes of student with intellectual disability, which is still relatively low. It is caused by learning methods used are only as a mere lecture, self-employment, textual and less attractive media such as white board. The purposes were to describe: (1) science learning outcomes of grade VIII student with intellectual disability before using ritatoon media, (2) science learning outcomes of grade VIII student with intellectual disability after using ritatoon media, (3) the effect of ritatoon media usage toward science learning outcomes of grade VIII student with intellectual disability. This research used a single subject experimental design with Single Subject Research (SSR) method. Results showed that the baseline-1 values obtained was 55% - 65%, the intervention phase values obtained was 80% - 95%, baseline-2 phase values obtained was 90% - 95%. The conclusion was the use of ritatoon media usage gives effect toward the science learning outcomes on natural event materials.

Abstract

The objective of study is to describe skill of shirt wearing before and after intervention and describe effect shaping technique towards skill of shirt wearing for intellectual disability. Method used is single-subject research with A-B-A design. The subject was a child with intellectual disability Grade I of SDLB. Analysis of data used was and inter-condition. Results showed that the effect of shaping techniques towards skills of shirt wearing child with intellectual disability. The conclusion that there is effect shaping techniques toward skill of shirt wearing intellectual disability. Suggestions include provide learning approaches variety, parents expected to cooperate in developing independence of intellectual disability, require fundamental research.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan memakai kemeja anak sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi dan pengaruh teknik shaping terhadap keterampilan memakai kemeja anak tunagrahita. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen subjek tunggal dengan desain A-B-A. Subjek adalah anak tunagrahita ringan kelas 1 SDLB. Analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh teknik shaping terhadap keterampilan memakai kemeja anak tunagrahita. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh antara teknik shaping terhadap keterampilan memakai kemeja anak tunagrahita. Saran penelitian berikan variasi pendekatan pembelajaran, orang tua diharapkan bekerjasama dalam mengembangkan kemandirian anak, perlu penelitian mendasar dalam pembelajaran bina diri.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim at describing: (1) the ability of fiction reading comprehension of student with hearing impairment of grade VIII at SMPLBN Malang before and after being applied role playing method, (2) the effect of role playing method toward the ability of fiction reading comprehension of student with hearing impairment of grade VIII at SMPLBN Malang. This study used quantitative research design with Single Subject Reserch Method (SSR) of A-B-A design. Based on the analysis, it was obtained the following results. On baseline-1 showed that the ability of fiction reading comprehension of students was low. On the intervention phase showed that the ability of fiction reading comprehension improved, if it was compared to the mean level in baseline-1. In baseline 2 phase showed that the ability of fiction reading comprehension was dropped.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the effect of the total communication approach towards the hearing impairment students’ text retelling ability in the third grade of SDLB Kepanjen Malang. This research was experimental study using A-B-A Single Subject Research (SSR) design. The result of the study showed that the total communication approach affected the student’ text retelling ability. The analysis showed that the intervention gave an effect to the improvement of the target’s behaviour.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pendekatan komunikasi total terhadap kemampuan menceritakan kembali isi bacaan siswa tunarungu kelas 3 di SDLB Kepanjen Malang. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bersifat eksperimen dengan metode SSR (Single Subject Research) desain A-B-A. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan komunikasi total yang dijadikan sebagai intervensi kepada siswa tunarungu ternyata memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan dalam menceritakan kembali isi bacaan siswa tunarungu.

Abstract

Social skills is one of the problems experienced by students with visual impairment due to the absence of visual perception. The aim of this study is to explore the level of social skills among students with visual impairment of teacher perception. This study also reviewed the level of academic achievement based on the result of Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) and it’s correlation with the social skills. This survey was conducted on 32 year six students with visual impairment from special education integration program and Special Education School for The Blind from seven states. The instrument was a set of questionnaires that were administered to the sample teachers. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics which involved mean and standard deviation as well as inferential analysis Spearman’s correlation coefficient. The findings showed that teacher’s perception towards social skills of students with visual impairment was high. However, this survey also found that their level of academic achievement was low. Spearman’s correlation coefficient inference analysis revealed, there are positive but very weak and insignificant correlation between social skills and academic achievement. In conclusion, this study show efforts must be made in order to improve the academic achievement of these groups.Kemahiran sosial adalah salah satu permasalahan yang dialami oleh Murid Berkeperluan Pendidikan Khas (MBK) ketidakupayaan penglihatan akibat ketiadaan persepsi visual. Objektif kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk meninjau tahap kemahiran sosial MBK ketidakupayaan penglihatan dari persepsi guru. Selain itu, kajian ini juga meninjau tahap pencapaian akademik MBK ketidakupayaan penglihatan melalui keputusan Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) dan melihat hubungannya dengan kemahiran sosial murid. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 32 orang MBK ketidakupayaan penglihatan tahun enam program pendidikan khas integrasi dan Sekolah Pendidikan Khas Cacat Penglihatan dari tujuh buah negeri. Instrumen kajian ialah satu set borang soal selidik yang ditadbir ke atas guru yang mengajar sampel. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif yang melibatkan skor min dan sisihan piawai serta analisis inferensi Korelasi Spearman. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan persepsi guru terhadap kemahiran sosial MBK ketidakupayaan penglihatan tahun enam adalah tinggi. Selain itu, didapati pencapaian akademik MBK ketidakupayaan penglihatan adalah rendah. Analisis inferensi pekali Korelasi Spearman mendapati hubungan positif yang sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan antara kemahiran sosial dan pencapaian akademik. Dapatan kajian ini menjadi indikator kepada komuniti pendidikan khas ketidakupayaan penglihatan bahawa pelbagai usaha perlu dilakukan untuk memperbaiki pencapaian akademik golongan ini.
