Abstract

Recent technological developments have opened up a golden opportunity for the world to see Papuan culture in Indonesia. Currently, virtual YouTubers are idols and brand ambassadors, but there are still no virtual YouTubers with West Papua's unique culture. The purpose of designing a virtual YouTuber avatar based on West Papuan culture is to create a virtual character that can represent West Papuan culture so that we can add alternative Indonesian YouTuber virtual characters, especially those with West Papuan aspect. is directed toward Papuan culture to national and international range. With its unique West Papuan culture, this character design mockup needs to be animated before entering the Youtuber's virtual world. Rigging or bone attachment animations are created in the Live2D Cubism Software and moved using face tracking technology in the Vtube Studio Software.

Abstract

Covid-19 makes people's mobility very limited. Because the mobility and capacity of an event is very limited, it makes many events forced to be postponed or even canceled because to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus from increasing. Some media eventually became a solution to the problem. One of them is video streaming media. Video streaming media is very helpful for organizers to provide information and impressions of the event via the internet. So that the audience does not need to come to the venue directly. This also makes it easier for viewers who are outside the city or even abroad to follow the event directly. STIKI Basketball League (SBL) has used this solution to limit these problems. The absence of spectators makes the venue even more lonely and boring due to building capacity restrictions which make supporters unable to support their team directly on the spot, but they can still support through video streaming media provided by the organizer. The video streaming media is also sold on a website that functions so that viewers who want to access their team's matches must subscribe first. The website product is packaged by the organizer using the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) concept which aims to make it easier for the audience to understand what features are sold by the committee. Thus, the presence of MVP in the product can increase the income from the event.

Abstract

Computer-based exams have been widely implemented in various agencies in Indonesia, especially in the field of education. But in practice use Computer Based Test(CBT). Does not guarantee that examines do things honestly, if the supervisor is negligent then the opportunity to cheat appears. This can be minimized by using technology Artificial Intelligence(AI), especially in domains of computer vision (CV). Start with observation problems and then collect datasets in the form of human images facing the camera and looking sideways, then do the image annotation, pre-processing data, YOLOv4 architecture design, training data, model testing, and finally deployment of the application on the website. The model test result show accuracy with a precision score of 0.99 (99%), a recall score of 1.00(100%), and an F-1 Score of 0.99(99%).

Abstract

This study is focused on enhancing the Haar Cascade algorithm to decrease the false positive and false negative rate of face recognition in images with variations in lighting, facial expressions, and occlusions to increase accuracy. The face recognition library was applied with Haar Cascade where 128-dimensional vectors representing the unique features of a face were encoded. The Enhanced Haar Cascade Algorithm produced a 98.39% accuracy rate, in comparison, the Haar Cascade Algorithm achieved a 46.70% - 77.00% accuracy rate. Both algorithms used the Confusion Matrix Test with 301,950 comparisons using the same dataset of 550 images. The 98.39% accuracy rate shows a significant decrease in false positive and false negative rates in facial recognition in images with complex conditions

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and immersive technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), in software engineering education to promote continuous and adaptive learning. The purpose of this study was to explore how these technologies increase student engagement, personalize the learning experience, and enhance practical skills essential in software development. A mixed methods approach was used, combining a quantitative survey with qualitative interviews of 20 students and 5 educators actively engaged in AI and VR powered courses. Findings revealed that AI-based adaptive learning systems encourage personalized feedback and help address individual knowledge gaps, leading to increased engagement and retention. VR based simulations enable hands-on learning, which significantly improves skill acquisition in coding, debugging, and system analysis. Despite these benefits, challenges such as high costs, data privacy concerns, and limited infrastructure remain a barrier to widespread implementation. This study contributes original insights by identifying strategies to mitigate these challenges, including gradual adoption of technology, cloud-based solutions to reduce costs, prioritizing data security, and continuous educator training. The findings underscore the transformative potential of AI and immersive technologies in creating sustainable, accessible and adaptive learning environments and equipping students with the skills needed for the innovation driven software industry.

Abstract

This descriptive research aimed to identify challenges in online language and literature learning faced by Bachelor of Secondary Education - Major in English students at Pangasinan State University, Bayambang Campus, and to propose coping strategies. The study surveyed 153 students using a structured questionnaire with three sections: sociodemographic profile, challenges in online learning, and coping strategies. Data collection was facilitated online via Google Forms, and a non-experimental descriptive approach was applied to analyze the responses. Results indicated that most respondents were female, second-year students from low-income families (earning Php 10,000 or less monthly). The majority relied on mobile phones for online learning and expressed a preference for traditional, face-to-face classes. Key challenges impacting academic performance included difficulties in language and literature learning, self-regulation, technological literacy and competency, technological sufficiency, and learning environment—all rated as having a “Great Extent” effect on learning outcomes. The most effective coping strategies identified were self-discipline (79.1% of respondents), self-study (78.4%), and adaptation (73.2%). These strategies enabled students to navigate the demands of online learning. The study suggests further research to examine the relationship between student profiles and challenges in online education to deepen understanding of specific factors influencing academic experiences and outcomes.

Abstract

In the smart city construction and development process, network security is a vital link that must be addressed. As a critical technology to ensure the security of smart cities, intrusion detection systems play multiple roles, such as real-time monitoring, threat identification, and event response. By deploying and optimizing efficient intrusion detection mechanisms, smart cities can effectively resist various network attacks and ensure the safety and stability of urban operations. Therefore, this paper proposes a PNN feature selection model based on binary particle swarm algorithm optimization (BiPSO) to select features for network traffic data and remove a large amount of redundant information; then, a variety of classifiers (random forest, KNN, Adaboost, BPNN) are used to classify the data after feature selection. We use NSL-KDD for experiments. The experimental results show that the BiPSO-PNN proposed in this paper not only achieves accurate selection of data set features but also guarantees high accuracy on other classifiers, which has vital practical significance.
