Abstract

This research was descriptive research. The total of number population were 42 students which devide into 3 class.the researcher random took as the sample which total 42 students. To select the sample the resercher used random sampling. The data of this research was score in stating expressions.From 42 students 25 students (59,52%) got average score. And 17 students (40,47) got fair. Based on the finding of the research,it can be suggested that (1) the English teacher should be spirit and never give up in teaching students. (2) the students should more seriously in studied.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to know the effect of peer editing technique toward writing skill in narrative text of the first year students at SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir. The method in this research was experimental research, pre test and post test design. The participants of the study are 41students. The results of this research are there was significant effect in post test with using peer editing technique. (To) value was 5.679 and (Tt) value was 2.020. It showed that (To) was higher than (Tt). The research concludes that there was significant effect to the students of Xb.

Abstract

The students‟ writing skill of descriptive text at the first grade SMPN 2 Rambah Hilir was low because they do not know how to write a good descriptive text and lack of time to practice. The findings shows that there is any significant effect between teaching descriptive text with using clustering technique. It can be seen of the value of t0(tvalue) = 6,442 is bigger than tt(ttable) with significance 5%= 2,00 by using t-test. It can be concluded that there is any significance effect between teaching descriptive text by using clusteringtechnique.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the skill of the second grade students of SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir of in writing narrative text. The sample of this research were second grade students of SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. The class consists, of 21 students; the researcher used total sampling technique to determine the sample research. The research was descriptive qualitative .The purpose of this research was to described the situation objectively. This research was done with some steps. They were collecting the data, analyzing the data, making conclusions, and reporting result. The result of research showed that the skill of second grade students of SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir in Poor category was 0%, in good category was47, 61%. In excellent category were 19, 04 %. Then, in fair category was 28,57%, in very poor category was 4,76%. The average score was 74, 19 %. So, it can be concluded that the students writing skill in narrative text at second grade of SMAN 3 Rambah Hilir was good.

Abstract

This research was an experimental research, The purposes of this research were to find out students’reading comprehension on narrative text taught by using Cloze Passage Technique and taught withoutusing cloze Passage Technique at the second year students of SMPN1 Rambah Hilir. The researchfindings showed that the improvement from the score of t-test. The total score of t-test was 3.371.Based on t-table, 2.00 <3.371 > 2.65. Therefore, it could be concluded that there was a significanteffect of using Cloze Passage Technique toward students reading comprehension on narrative text atthe second year of SMPN 1 Rambah Hilir.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the skill of the second grade students of MAN Pasir Pengaraian in using preposition of position in narrative text. The participant of this research were second grade students of MAN Pasir Pengaraian Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. It has 4 classes, IPA and IPS. IPA there were two classes, consisted of 52 students and IPS there were two calsess, consisted of 50 students. Sample of this research was a kind of “random sampling” and it had been taken 81 students as the sample. The research was a kind of descriptive qualitative research, the kind of this reseach had purpose to describe about the accurate situation. This research was done with some steps collected the data, analyzed the data, made conclusion, and report.Based on the analyzed the data which get by researcher, that skill of second grade students of MAN Pasir Pengarian was Poor category and its frequency were 76 % of the students. Good category so the percentage 6 %. Fairly Good level with the percentage 9 %. Then, Fair level with the percentage were 9%. So, it can be concluded that the students of second grade still in Poor level in using preposition of position in narrative text.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out students’ skill in writing recount text. Recount text was a text that tells the reader to listener what happened in the past through a sequence events. This research used descriptive qualitative research design.The findings showed that the students’ skill in writing recount text at SMAN 2 Rambah Hilir as follows: 1 student (3,33%) was very good category, 11 students (36,7%) were good category, 16 students (53,3%) were fair category, and 2 students (6,67%) were poor category.

Abstract

Literature is an imaginative writing in the sense of fiction. It means that literature is a work that using the writers’ imagination as the topic. The writer can generalize their imagination in several kinds, like story, drama, situation or the result of analysis. Literature means writing valued as work of art. It also refers to the composition that tells stories, dramatizes, situations, expresses emotions, analyzes and advocates. It is clear that in writing literary work the writer usually write in story, drama, situations, express their emotions, and explain an analysis or advocates.This is a descriptive qualitative research. It is a research design part of qualitative method that allows the researcher to describe a phenomenon by presenting the facts in rich detail without attempting to interpret them. Qualitative research is done without give priority in numbers, but focus on the deep understanding to interaction between concepts that is analyzed. It is mean that the qualitative research focuses on the understanding in the concept of the research.In this thesis, the reseach only focused in analyzing the characters in doraemon comic” Nobita to animal planet”. For analyzing the characters in doraemon comic” Nobita to Animal Planet” the researcher used theory psychological criticism. Psychological criticism there are three parths id, ego and superego. The id is basic character in human, ego is the character that has conjunction with the real situations. character and superego is the personality that contains the values and rules that are evaluative (concerning matters relating to the good and the bad). The researcher want to relate between character with id, ego and superego.Key word: Analysis of the character in doraemon comic.

Abstract

This research is conducted to improve students’ vocabulary mastery at fifth grade of Elementary school 016 Rambah Samotrought Cartoon movie. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) which conducted to solve the students’ problem in Vocabulary Mastery. This research conducted in two cycles, in every cycle consist of plan, action, observation and reflection. The data were gathered through qualitative and quantitative data. The finding of this research indicated that the implementation of cartoon movie was successful since there an improvement ofstudents vocabulary mastery. Based on the finding mentioned, the researcher suggests that English teacher could implement cartoon movie media in teaching English vocabulary mastery.
