Abstract

Wayang Golek Purwa is a performing art that uses wooden puppets as the main media. This performance combines various elements, such as play and arrangement, which include language, sound, form, and movement. The relationship between the two not only represents a unity, but also reflects the philosophy of “Loro-Loro Ning Tunggal”, which describes two entities that are united. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the puppeteer and sinden and explore the application of this philosophy in Wayang Golek performance art. The method used in this research is a literature study, namely by tracing classical literature sources that discuss the role of puppeteers and sinden as a unit in Purwa Wayang Golek performances. The results show that the philosophy of “Loro-Loro Ning Tunggal” is the basis for collaboration that produces harmony in artistic expression, both in the technical and aesthetic dimensions. The concept also reflects cultural values, such as cooperation, mutual respect, and balance, which are relevant not only in art, but also in the lives of its supporting communities. This study makes an important contribution in enriching the understanding of traditional art through cultural and philosophical perspectives.

Abstract

Human development is a process aimed at expanding the range of choices available to individuals. However, in reality, people sometimes find themselves unable to choose, or even lacking any options at all. The low Human Development Index (HDI) in Brebes Regency, coupled with the low purchasing power of its residents, ultimately affects the average length of schooling for children in the area. Dropping out or not continuing to the next level of education becomes a common choice. Another alternative is to engage in ngenger living with and learning from someone more capable in various aspects to ease the economic burden at home while also fostering personal growth. This tradition of ngenger inspired the creation of a short fictional film using a linear plot structure. The film seeks to revive the values embedded in ngenger, which serves as a form of informal education. Ngenger teaches that everything in life happens through a process of cause and effect and does not occur suddenly. Nothing can be achieved instantly; it requires effort, struggle, and sacrifice.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' creativity and interest in fine arts at SD Negeri 2 Purwosari. Fine art is a branch of art with media that can be captured by the eye and felt by touch. In fine arts there are various kinds of art, one example is painting or it can be called drawing. This type of research is qualitative research using a case study approach. The data sources in the research were homeroom teachers and elementary school students at SD 2 Purwosari Kudus. The results showed significant variations in art interest between low class and high class. Lower class students are more interested in the fine art of painting, this is due to the expressive and imaginative nature of painting activities which is appropriate to their stage of development. On the other hand, high class students tend to prefer the fine art of weaving. This reflects their growing interest towards activities that are more complex and require technical skills, as well as the desire to create objects that can be used or have aesthetic value.
