Abstract

Milkfish bones/chanos-chanos forsk (CCF) contain of 4% calcium, 3% phosphorus, and 32% protein. CCF is heated at certain temperatures (500-7000C) then can be turned into hydroxyapatite (HAp) as a biomaterial application. The selection of materials in accordance by HAp is aluminum (Al), magnesium (Mg) and titanium (Ti). Al is one of the non-ferrous metals with very wide applications. It has specific properties such as; being light weight, ductile and a lower melting point compared to many other common engineering materials. The combining some of metals by HAp, is a composite material term, which is currently the latest development for processing various elements of different materials. Processing of composite for multi-alloy materials, requires a complex process in resulting of products, both in terms of parameters and process variables. Self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) is a relatively novel and simple method for making certain advanced composites and intermetallic compounds. The SHS method is very suitable to be used as a composite multi-alloy material processing because it has a series of processes capable of producing strong bonds between the elements combined, such as HAp, Al, Mg and Ti. The HAp material from milkfish bones was combined by several metal materials such as Al, Mg and Ti. The use of this material is expected to improve mechanical properties especially eliminating fragility in composite materials. Variation of composition on hybrid composites consist of 3 types: (hybrid composites). There are three combinations of compositions in hybrid composite manufacturing, namely: 80% HAp; 10% Al; 5% Mg; 5% Ti, 80% HAp; 10% Al; 5% Mg; 5% Cu and 80% HAp; 10% Al; 5% Mg; 5% SiC. Characterization carried out ware mechanical and microstructure to determine the properties of hybrid composites, from the values obtained can be recommended for biomaterial applications

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on changing the learning model in Indonesia, from conventional learning to virtual learning. This causes a high gap in practicum learning. Where practicum learning that was originally in the laboratory can be applied at home. The purpose of this study was to determine the need for practical learning media for students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects were all UST PKK study program students. Determination of the sample through a purposive sampling of 77 respondents. The validity test of 31 statements about the instrument was declared valid. Meanwhile, all instruments were declared reliable with high reliability (0.705> 0.7). The total score averaged 87.35 which means it is highly expected. This result explained that the need for practical learning media using videos with clear instructions. So that further research needs to develop barcode-based e-job sheets according to the needs of learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic and the development of the digital generation era.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the effect of using HCL solution and coffee bean husk on levels of (Sodium Oxide) Nox and Carbon Oxide (CO) . The method of this research is tru experiment on the process of carbon activation carried out by using HCl solution. The results showed that there was an effect of coffee beans and the use of HCL solutions on Nox and CO levels ( can reduce CO exhaust emissions in the range of 6.62-39.02% and reduce exhaust emissions of NOx in the range 13.08-39.05%)

Abstract

Simplify car models such as Ahmed body is commonly used in numerical simulation because the aerodynamic forces that occur around the car are well captured. Various conditions around Ahmed body models change aerodynamic condition around the vehicle. Behind Ahmed body model, 2 secondary flow vortices are formed, called the twin vortex. This study explains the effect of various inlet velocities to the aerodynamic forces around the car at various inlet velocities of 35 m / s, 40 m / s and 50 m / s. This research simulate the Ahmed body model in 2D steady with the realizable k-epsiloin turbulence model. The Ahmed body model used in this study has 30o  slope angle. At inlet velocity of 40 m / s wake that is formed the smallest size. At the inlet condition 40 m / s fluid flow has enough energy to suppress the wake that forms on the twin vortex and produces a small wake. Fluid flow at the bottom of the vehicle tends to be stable and produces similar trandline at various velocity.

Abstract

Bending and rolling service providers in Subang Regency are still minimal, based on observation data in five workshops, there is only one workshop that provides bending and rolling services, in addition, in the manufacture of the bending roll machine, it is necessary to have an electrical installation as the power that drives the drive system and analysis of the calculation of the drive system as planning to determine and install the drive system to be used. This final project is a qualitative descriptive study with the stage of data collection, wiring diagrams and calculations, installation, testing, and analysis.  The results of the study can be concluded that: (1) the electrical installation uses two main components including a 1 phase 1.5 HP electric motor and a 15 A cam starter 3, (2) the analysis of the calculation of the drive system includes the calculation of the power of the motor drive with the results: driving torque = 269 , 66 Nm, Driven torque = 210.66 Nm, calculation of the final rotation ratio of the roller with the results: the final rotation ratio n3 = 39.94 rpm, chain calculation ratio with chain speed results: v = 0.15 m / s, the amount of chain workload = 88 kg, comparison of theoretical calculations with technical calculations (measured tests) which include electric motors: (1400 rpm): (1403 rpm) difference = 3 rpm, speed reducer = (46.6 rpm): (59.93 rpm) difference = 13.33 rpm, main shaft sprocket = (39.94 rpm):(32, 83) difference = 7.11 rpm.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research is presented to map State Vocational High School (SMKN) in Boyolali based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) owned by students. HOTS is indispensable in facing critical thinking skills in the 21st  century. The research used uses a qualitative type of survey approach. Students in vocational schools are given cognitive questions oriented to HOTS which refers to Bloom's taxonomy, in the form of evaluating, analyzing, and creating. Questions are presented in multiple choice forms and have been validated with the questmaster program. The results showed that HOTS owned by students in Boyolali Vocational High School was still relatively low, ie 36% at SMKN 1 Klego, 37% in SMKN Nogosari, and 41% in students at SMKN 1 Klego.
