Abstract

Teaching materials are seen as fundamental instruments in the learning process and limited teaching materials with Curriculum 2013—modules and package books available, limited, and not easily understood by students. The mathematics module is one of the alternative teaching materials that can facilitate teachers and improve student ability. This development research aims to develop teaching materials in the form of Mathematics Module Set with Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Based Scientific Approach for Grade VII Students of Junior High School (SMP/MTs) and test the quality (feasibility) of the module. This development research uses Research and Development (R & D) method. Research subjects include material experts, media experts, students of two schools. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires. The research instruments are questionnaires that have been reviewed. The data analysis technique is done qualitatively and quantitatively to calculate the learning module's feasibility test result. The results of the material feasibility test are included in either criterion with an average score of 67. The module media feasibility test is included in either criterion with an average score of 67.67. Simultaneously, the result of the questionnaire of student response of small grade product trial stage included good criterion with an average score of 64,7. The results of the material experts with an excellent category with an average score of 79.67, in terms of media experts with a very good category with an average score of 74.33, the results of questionnaires student response test phase of large class products including very good criteria with an average score of 71.5. The results show that the mathematics module of the set matter with the STAD method based on the scientific approach for the students of grade VII SMP / MTs is feasible for the learning process.

Abstract

The background of this study due to the unavailability of the pocketbook as a source of learning. This study aims to prepare and develop teaching material in the form of a mathematics pocketbook for subject matter triangles and rectangular to class VII Junior High School (SMP/MTs) to determine the feasibility of teaching materials. The research was carried out using a model of the development of  Research and Development (R & D). The measures include the development of two aspects, namely the development of mathematics and pocketbooks' feasibility. The development of a mathematical pocketbook covers the preparation, implementation, testing, and revision. The feasibility of mathematics includes both material and media worthiness. Instruments used questionnaire matter experts, media experts, and student responses to assess the feasibility of pocketbooks. They were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. Research Subjects are subject VIIIth grade students SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan and MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen.  Results of research development of mathematics pocketbook for subject matter triangle and rectangular in class VII SMP / MTS obtained from the analysis of the average valuation matter experts by 69,67 with the category is very good, the average valuation by media expert is 90, 33 with the category is very good, and the average valuation student responses is 83.07 with the excellent category. It can be concluded that mathematics pocketbook with an excellent category, so it is feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

Problem-solving abilities of the students who are still limited to things often appear alone. They lack a sense of responsibility for what became the obligations as a student becomes a problem that became the focus of this research. This research aims to improve the ability of problem-solving and developing character of the responsibility of the student. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) implemented in cycles with cycle one consists of 3 meetings. The subject is an odd semester of Class XI IPA B Islamic Senior High School (MA) Ali Masum school year 2017/2018. The data collection techniques are using observation instruments (observation), interviews, and documentation tests. Analytical techniques descriptive data is done by qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that learning mathematics with the MEAs approach to NHT type cooperative learning could improve problem-solving ability. The results of the study are presented as follows: a) the ability to understand the problem increased from 89.69% to 95.20%, b) the ability to plan the problem solving increased 71.46% to 80.21%, c) the ability to carry out procedures increased 61.46% to 71.04% d) the ability to Recheck the results increased 50.00% to 70.42%. One for the character of responsibility, there is an increase that is from 2.26 (Less Good) in cycle I to 3.37 (Very Good) in cycle II.

Abstract

This research is based on the unavailability of student worksheets as one of the learning resources. Saturation and lack of skilled students doing exercise questions. SW that used realistic concept and Islamic nuance is one alternative to reduce the problem. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of Student Worksheet (SW) based on realistic and nuances Islamic in the social arithmetic subject for class VII Junior High School (SMP/MTs). This research method used Research and Development (R & D) covering the stage of preparation, implementation, testing, and revision. Material experts and media experts do SW validation. The subjects of the study were students of grade VII SMP / MTs. The instrument used is a questionnaire instrument—the analysis technique used qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of the research and development of SW shows that the material expert's assessment obtained a 75,5 score with a very good criterion, from media expert 78,3 with good criterion. The result of student response to SW is good, with a scoring average of 60,19. Based on the above, it can be concluded that SW is based on realistic and nuances Islamic in the social arithmetic subject for class VII SMP / MTs, both used as teaching materials in the learning process.
