Abstract

A Picothermal solar power plant (PLTPM) is an original concept that is still under study. Testing and calculation of voltage and electrical current is carried on a single thermoelectric, thermoelectric cells connected in series and parallel connected thermoelectric cells due to rise in temperature in the cells. The results showed that the increase in temperature of 71 °C produces 1 volt output voltage and current of 0.1 amperes. In accordance with the principle of series and parallel connection, series connection is able to multiply the output voltage and the parallel connections double the current output for one additional thermoelectric cell chipKeywords : Picothermal, thermoelectric cell and series, parallel, temperatureAbstrak— Pembangkit listrik pikotermal matahari (PLTPM) merupakan konsep awal yang masih dalam tahap kajian. Pengujian dan perhitungan tegangan dan arus listrik dilakukan terhadap termoelektrik tunggal, sel termoelektrik terhubung seri dan sel termoeletrik terhubung paralel akibat kenaikan suhu pada sel-sel tersebut. Hasil memperlihatkan bahwa kenaikan suhu sebesar 71 oC  menghasilkan tegangan keluaran 1 volt dan arus 0.1 Amper. Sesuai dengan kaedah hubungan seri dan paralel, hubungan seri mampu melipat gandakan tegangan keluaran dan hubungan paralel melipatkan gandakan arus keluaran untuk tambahan setiap satu keping sel termoelektrik.Kata Kunci : pikotermal, sel termoelektrik, seri, paralel, kenaikan suhu

Abstract

The correlation between the partial discharge (PD) pulses count and the surface of the related sample was studied and reported in this paper. The assessment was done by testing different samples of the composite low density polyethylene (LDPE) and natural rubber (NR) under a high electric field for 60 minutes. The results showed a strong correlation between the images of the sample surface after testing by the number of PD pulses is counted. The high of PD pulses counted are highly correlated with the larger scale of surface area damaged.Keywords : partial discharge, composite, polyethilene, natural rubber, surface pictureAbstrak— Korelasi antara jumlah pulsa peluahan sebagian (PD) dengan tingkat kerusakan permukaan sampel dikaji dalam makalah ini. Pengkajian dilakukan dengan menguji sampel berbeda dari komposit polietilen berkerapatan rendah (LDPE) dan karet alam (NR) di bawah pengaruh medan listrik tinggi selama 60 menit. Hasil memperlihatkan adanya korelasi yang kuat antara citra permukaan sampel setelah pengujian dengan jumlah pulsa PD yang terhitung. Jumlah pulsa PD yang tinggi berkorelasi dengan luas citra pemukaan sampel rusak yang lebih besar.Kata Kunci : peluahan sebagian, komposit, polietilen, karet alam, citra permukaan

Abstract

Market  demands  on a more impressive entertainment media have motivated for delivery of three dimensional  (3D) audio content to  home consumers  through Ultra  High  Definition  TV  (UHDTV), the next generation of TV broadcasting, where spatial  audio  coding plays  fundamental role. This paper reviews fundamental concept on spatial audio coding which includes technology, standard, and application. Basic principle of object-based audio reproduction system  will also be elaborated, compared  to  the  traditional channel-based system, to provide good understanding on this popular interactive audio reproduction system which gives end users flexibility to render  their  own preferred  audio composition.Keywords : spatial audio, audio coding, multi-channel audio signals, MPEG standard, object-based audio

Abstract

This research used chicken eggs to perform the analysis in the identification process fertility chicken eggs. The method in the identification process using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM). The identification process by using GLCM using the 6 main parameters to determine the characteristics (feature extraction). The parameters used are: ASM (Angular Second Moment), Contrast, Correlation, Variance, IDM (Inverse Difference Moment), and Entropy. Each parameter will give different values and is able to distinguish and classify images based fertility chicken eggs chicken eggs. The identification process gives results that the image of a chicken egg fertile and infertile able to distinguish from GLCM parameters and show that using 10 samples of chicken eggs able to be grouped based on their fertility.Keywords:Chicken Eggs, Feature Extraction, GLCM ParametersAbstrak— Penelitian ini menggunakan telur ayam kampung untuk melakukan analisis dalam proses identifikasi fertilitas telur ayam. Metode dalam proses identifikasi menggunakan Gray Level Coocurence Materik (GLCM). Proses identifikasi dengan menggunakan GLCM menggunakan 6 parameter utama untuk mengetahui ciri-ciri (ekstraksi ciri). Parameter yang digunakan yaitu: ASM, Kontras, Korelasi, Varians, IDM, dan Entropy. Masing-masing parameter akan memberikan nilai yang berbeda dan mampu membedakan dan mengelompokkan citra telur ayam kampung berdasarkan fertilitas telur ayam. Proses identifikasi memberikan hasil bahwa citra teluer ayam kampung fertile dan infertile mampu dibedakan dengan parameter-parameter GLCM dan menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan 10 sampel telur ayam kampung mampu dikelompokkan berdasaarkan fertilitasnya.Kata Kunci : Telur ayam kampung, Ekstraksi Ciri, Parameter GLCM

Abstract

This  paper  presents the  assessment  of  fast  decoupled load flow computation using three linear system solver scheme. The full matrix version of the  fast  decoupled  load flow  based on XB  methods used in this study.  The numerical investigations are carried out  on  the  small and large test systems.  The execution time of small system such as IEEE 14, 30, and 57 are very fast, therefore the computation time can not be compared  for these cases.  Another cases IEEE 118, 300 and TNB 664 produced significant execution speedup. The superLU factorization sparse matrix solver has best performance and speedup of load flow solution as well as in contigency analysis. The invers full matrix solver can solved only for IEEE 118 bus test system in 3.715 second and for another cases take too long time. However for superLU factorization linear solver can solved all of test system in 7.832 second for a largest of test system. Therefore the superLU factorization linear solver can be a viable alternative applied in contingency analysis.Keywords : Fast Decoupled Load Flow, Contigency Analysis, and Linear System Solver

Abstract

MPEG Spatial Audio Object Coding (MPEG SAOC) is the first standard on object-based audio coding released by International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The MPEG SAOC has ability to reproduce multichannel audio at the decoder side. In this paper, performance of the MPEG SAOC on multichannel audio reproduction is analyzed and compared to MPEG Surround (MPS). The results show both MPEG SAOC and MPS have Objective Difference Grade (ODG) at impeceptible level. However, the MPEG SAOC encoder can only supports one multichannel object audio input.Keywords :Spatial Audio Object Coding, Object-based Audio, and Multichannel AudioAbstrak— MPEG Spatial Audio Object Coding (MPEG SAOC) merupakan pengkode audio berbasis objek pertama yang telah telah distandarisasi oleh International Organization for Standardization (ISO). MPEG SAOC memiliki kemampuan reproduksi audio multikanal pada sisi decoder. Pada paper ini, dianalisis kemampuan reproduksi audio multikanal pada decoder MPEG SAOC dan dibandingkan dengan MPEG Surround (MPS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, MPEG SAOC dan MPS sama-sama memiliki Objective Difference Grade (ODG) pada level imperceptible. Abstract

The possibility of using Electric Field Mill data as parameter of lightning warning sistem requires atmospheric electric field data comparisons with lightning detection sistems. Transient electric field from lightning detektor compare with continues atmospheric electric field during thunderstorm.Based on atmospheric electric field measurement in Padang during the period of January - August 2015 there were 219 times thunderstorm events. In the event of thunderstorm,there is one or two thunderstorm event per day with average thunderstorm duration 173.48 minute per thunderstorm. There is no relations between the number of cloud to ground lightning strikes with the duration of the thunderstorm. Thunderstorm with 634 minute duration produces 2 cloud to ground lightning strikes while thunderstorm with shorter duration for 114 minute produces 13 cloud to ground lightning strikes.Keywords : Thunderstorm, Atmospheric Electric Field,Electric Field MillAbstrak—Penggunaan data Electric Field Mill (EFM) dalam sistem peringatan bahaya petir membutuhkan kajian perbandingan data medan listrik atmosfer dengan sistem deteksi petir. Data dari detektor petir dibandingkan dengan data perubahan medan litrik statis selama proses badai petir. Berdasarkan pengukuran medan listrik atmosfer di kota Padang selama periode Januari – Agustus 2015 diperoleh data yaitu terdapat sebanyak 219 kali badai petir. Dalam satu hari terjadi satu sampai dua kali badai petir dengan durasi rata rata per badai petir adalah 173,48 menit. Setiap badai petir tidak selalu menghasilkan sambaran petir awan ke tanah. Tidak ada hubungan langsung antara jumlah sambaran petir awan ke tanah dengan lamanya durasi badai petir. Badai petir dengan durasi terlama pada tanggal 12 April 2015 dengan durasi 638 menit menghasilkan 2 kali sambaran petir awan ke tanah. Sedangkan badai petir pada 30 Januari 2015 dengan durasi 114 menit bisa menghasilkan 13 kali sambaran petir awan ke tanah.Kata Kunci : Badai Petir, Medan Listrik Atmosfer, Electric Field Mill

Abstract

This paper discusses comparison of the output voltage dynamic response of buck converter that employing controller Proportional Integral (PI), and Proportional Integral Derivative (PID). Design and simulation of a buck converter output voltage is performed using Matlab. The performance of buck converter has been verified by the theoretically and graphically. Those simulations shown that PID controller has been better performance than the PI controller.Keywords :Buck converter, PI, PIDAbstrakTulisan ini membahas komparasi tanggapan dinamik dari tegangan keluaran konverter buck dengan menerapkan pengendali  Proportional Integral (PI) dan Proportional Integral Derivative (PID). Abstract

Comfortable is needed in driving. One of the way is minimize the effects of shocks on passengers/vehicles. The suspension system in this discussion is a simplified model. The objective control is to be able to control the vehicle through its suspension system so that it looks at the desired position there is an uneven path which can be regarded as an disturbance or additional force on the system. Simplified suspension system consists of mass -spring-damper. The linear quadratic integral tracking method is designed to overcome the disturbance of simplified suspension systems, this method is the development of the linear quadratic regulator method (LQR) with Integral Control to eliminate steady state errors during tracking. Based on simulation result, data obtained by LQIT control method that implements being able to track the position on the system and minimize steady state error at 3% with rising time 2 second and steady state time 3 second, so that if there is a disturbance that causes position changes on the suspension system, the controller is able to control the system to immediately return to desired position, So that interference / shock can be minimized.Keywords : Simplified suspension, LQIT  and Positon TrackingAbstrak— Kenyamanan diperlukan dalam berkendara. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan cara meminimalisir efek guncangan terhadap penumpang/kendaraan. Sistem suspensi dalam bahasan kali ini adalah model yang disederhanakan. Objektive kontrolnya adalah dapat mengontrol kendaraan melalui sistem suspensinya sedemikian rupa sehingga berada pada posisi yang diinginkan sekalipun terdapat jalan yang tidak rata yang dapat dianggap sebagai gangguan atau tambahan gaya pada sistem. Sistem suspensi sederhana terdiri dari massa (mass)-pegas(spring)-peredam (damper). Metode kontrol linear quadratic integral tracking di rancang untuk mengatasi gangguan pada sistem suspensi sederhana, metode ini merupakan pengembangan dari metode kontrol linear quadratic regulator (LQR) dengan penambahan kontroler integral (Integral Control) untuk mengeliminasi eror steady state saat tracking berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian secara simulasi, diperoleh data bahwa metode kontrol LQIT yang diterapkan mampu menjadikan tracking posisi pada sistem memiliki error steady state minimal dengan kriteria 3% dengan rise time 2 detik dan steady state time 3 detik, sehingga ketika terjadi gangguan yang menyebabkan pergeseran/perubahan posisi pada sistem suspensi, kontroler mampu mengendalikan sistem agar segera kembali pada posisi yang ditentukan sehingga gangguan/guncangan yang terjadi mampu diminimalisir. Kata Kunci : Suspensi sederhana, LQIT, dan Tracking posisi.

Abstract

Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) enabling communication in an environment where there may be no link end-to-end, communication opportunities come and go and the intervals can be extremely long and even previously unknown. There are some Routing Protocol on DTN, including Binary Spray and Wait is a development of Spray and Wait, and PROPHET.  Research discuss about modification of Binary Spray and Wait in spray phase using delivery predictability in PROPHET. Simulation used ONE (Opportunistic Network Environtment) Simulator and analyze Delivery Probability, Overhead Ratio, Buffer Time, Average Latency and Average Remaining Energy in Shortest Path Map Based dan Random Way Point movement. Based on observation, the resulting modification of Binary Spray and Wait improve performance and buffer time average latency compared with Binary Spray and Wait, but slightly lower probability delivery and improving overhead ratio.Keywords : Delay Tolerant Network, Spray and Wait, PROPHET, Shortest Path Map Based, Random Way Point.AbstrakDelay Tolerant Network (DTN) memungkinkan komunikasi dalam lingkungan di mana mungkin tidak ada jalur end-to-end, peluang komunikasi datang dan pergi dan intervalnya bisa sangat panjang dan bahkan tidak diketahui sebelumnya. Ada beberapa Routing Protocol pada DTN, diantaranya Binary Spray and Wait yang merupakan pengembangan dari Spray and Wait, dan PROPHET. Penelitian ini membahas tentang modifikasi Binary Spray and Wait pada tahap spray menggunakan teknik delivery predictability yang ada di PROPHET. Simulasi menggunakan ONE (Opportunistic Network Environtment) Simulator dan menganalisa Delivery Probability, Overhead Ratio, Buffer Time, Average Latency dan Average Remaining Energy pada pergerakan node Shortest Path Map Based dan Random Way Point. Berdasarkan pengamatan, dihasilkan Modifikasi Binary Spray and Wait meningkatkan performansi average latency dan buffer time dibanding dengan Binary Spray and Wait, namun menurunkan sedikit delivery probability dan memperbesar overhead ratio.Kata Kunci : Delay Tolerant Network, Spray and Wait, PROPHET, Shortest Path Map Based, Random Way Point.
