Abstract

Effective learning is a learning process that actively engages students. Student activity is one of the indicators of the achievement of an effective learning process. In addition, a teacher is expected to be able to apply the right methods in increasing student activity. When the author teaches in a class, it is found that some students have not shown their activeness during online learning. Regarding this issue, the writing of this article aims to examine the application of interactive methods in increasing student activity in the online learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This method is carried out by revealing phenomena, variables, and facts that occur during the research. The online learning is carried out using the team’s application by utilizing all its supporting features to apply the interact method. The result obtained is that the application of interactive methods during online learning can increase student activity. Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the improvement of mathematical problem solving skills with realistic-based learning (Realistic Mathematics Education RME) as a whole, 2) analyze the improvement of mathematical problem-solving skills with realistic-based learning (Realistic Mathematics Education RME) based on education level. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research method is a meta-analysis with a sample of 20 national journal articles. The data analysis technique used Cohen's d effect size. Sampling consisted of four levels, namely Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), Senior High School (SMA), and tertiary institutions. The results of the meta-analysis show that increasing mathematical problem solving skills through realistic-based learning (Realistic Mathematics Education RME) has an Effect Size at the Elementary School (SD) level = 0.90 (high effect), at the Junior High School (SMP) level = 0 .63 (medium effect), at the high school level (SMA) = 0.23 (low effect) and at the university level it is 0.38 (low effect). Between the education levels of Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), High School (SMA), and College the average value of Effect Size = 0.67 (medium effect). Abstract

Stunting (short stature) is a chronic condition characterized by stunted growth due to malnutrition over a long period of time. Stunting needs special attention because it can hamper children's physical and mental development and is associated with an increased risk of illness and death. The high incidence of stunting in the world is still a health problem that is still being faced by WHO [7]. Therefore, it is necessary to group countries based on stunting cases in order to facilitate appropriate policy making in overcoming and preventing stunting. In this study, 151 countries were grouped based on stunting cases with a normal finite mixture model. The model is estimated using Bayesian estimation through Birth-Death Markov Chain Monte Carlo (BD-MCMC) method. The results of the study show that there are five groups of countries based on stunting cases, where the first group consists of 30 countries and the second group consists of 32 countries which are groups with low stunting rates. While the third group has 33 members, the fourth group has 34 countries and the fifth group has 22 countries which is a group with a high stunting rate. Abstract

This ex post facto study aims to describe and examine the differences in perceptions of public junior high school students in the Klungkung sub-district towards online mathematics learning in terms of gender and student learning styles. This research population is all class VII SMP Negeri students in Klungkung sub-district for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 1017 students. The sampling technique used is a cluster random sampling technique with a total sample of 124 students. The research instrument used was a questionnaire on learning styles and students' perceptions of online mathematics learning. The instrument used is valid with reliability of 0.721 for the learning style questionnaire and 0.753 for perception. The data were analyzed using the two-way ANOVA and then the Scheffe test. The results showed that: 1) there were differences in students' perceptions of online mathematics learning in terms of gender, and 2) in students' perceptions of online mathematics learning in terms of learning styles. and 3) simultaneously, there are no differences in students' perceptions of online mathematics learning regarding gender and learning styles. With the results of this study, it is hoped that in the future, teachers will no longer differentiate the gender of students and can be more familiar with students' learning styles. This can help teachers provide variations in learning according to the gender and character of students' learning styles. Keywords: gender, learning styles, perceptions, online mathematics learning

Abstract

Biometrics is a branch of applied mathematics to identify individuals who take advantage of the identification of the characteristics or special characteristics it has. Current system Individual recognition through facial identification is one of the biometric technologies which is popular. Despite its popularity, facial recognition systems have its own complexity in the identification process. As the times progressed, the system required to be able to recognize faces in real time. You Only Look Once (YOLO) is an object detection system that is famous for its ability to detect objects in real time. What’s more, the fifth version of YOLO or YOLOv5 does not require large memory. The best YOLOv5 model training results were obtained from taking parameters epoch=250, batch size=16, and learning rate=0.01. The testing process has been carried out on sixteen videos of which eight videos contain one different student in each video and the other eight videos contain two different students in each video. The testing process is also done by increasing and decreasing the brightness of the video. The best average accuracy result is 99.88% which is shown by testing on a video containing one student with a normal brightness level. Abstract

This article examines Egyptian and Babylonian computing systems. To explore Egyptian and Babylonian geometry, Egyptian computations. The Egyptians developed two different number systems, one for each of their two writings. In the hieroglyphic system, each of the first few powers of 10 is represented by a different symbols, starting with the familiar vertical stroke for 1. The Hieroglyphic Number System In so-called "hieratic" (sacred) scripts, the symbols are written in cursive, or running freely, hands so that at first glance the shapes are not very similar with old hieroglyphs. Abstract

Indonesia has a vast forest area reaching 120.3 million ha in 2020. Forest fires (karhutla) in Indonesia are a problem that is often faced every year during the dry season. The development of the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) makes it possible to place fire detection sensors in forest areas, also supported by Longe Range (LoRa) communication technology so that the range of WSN is very far. The security of data sent by sensors via WSN is essential to prevent parties from manipulating the sensor data sent. This study developed a security system for data transmitted from WSN to LoRa gateway using a 128-bit AES security system. AES is symmetric encryption, and its computational complexity is relatively tiny, so it is very suitable to be implemented in WSN. The results of this study indicate that the data read by the sensor via WSN with 128-bit AES encryption and sent to the LoRa gateway can be appropriately read using the same encryption key as the key installed on the WSN; meanwhile, if the key used is not the same, sensor data sent from WSN cannot be displayed correctly. Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the rank-decomposition in the symmetrized max-plus algebraic matrix. The existence of rank decomposition is shown using minor rank in the symmetrized max-plus algebra and a link among symmetrized max-plus algebra and conventional algebra. The result is a rank-decomposition in symmetrized max-plus algebraic matrix exists. Furthermore, the rank-decomposition is not unique. Abstract

Background: Juveniles will have high levels of mental health problems during incarceration. The prevalence of mental health problems in male adolescents increases conduct disorder risk. Additionally, male juvenile offenders, possibility, will have a psychotic illness, major depression, ADHD, and PTSD. A previous study reported that male juveniles incarcerated experience psychological distress: sleep disturbance, depression, hostility, inferiority, and anxiety. The increasing frequency of mental health problems in incarcerated juveniles begins with mental health screening. Screening aims to recognize high-risk juvenile offenders who need medical care and those requiring further assessment. Purpose: This study aims to describe the mental health screening tool among male juvenile offenders in incarcerated juveniles. Methods: The method of this study is a literature review. Results: There are many mental health screenings for incarcerated across the world. Each country has a standard to measure mental health problems using mental health screening. Considerations for mental health screening are ease of access, time and cost-effectiveness, and cross-cultural validity. Conclusion: This review will illustrate the significance of mental health awareness among male juvenile offenders. Therefore, the psychiatric and mental health nurse is essential in caring for incarcerated male juvenile offenders.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of e-commerce increased very significantly, including Shopee. Order to evaluate how the level of use of e-commerce applications during the pandemic, can be measured using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) Model. This study aims to analyze the use of Shopee's E-commerce during the Covid-19 pandemic using the Unified Theory Of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) Model. This study discusses the effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on behavioral intentions. The method of data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The results showed that partially there was one variable that was rejected, namely the social influence variable. Meanwhile, the variables of performance expectations, effort expectations, and facilitation conditions have a significant effect on behavioral intentions. However, it simultaneously shows that all variables have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention. Keywords: behavioral intention, covid-19, e-commerce, UTAUT
