Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process of learning mathematics in children with special needs with visual impairment. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with observations and interviews. Qualitative data analysis is directed to analyze the process of learning mathematics in children with special needs with visual impairment. The subject of this research is the seventh grade students of children with special needs who are blind. The results of the study indicate that in the learning process the teacher uses the preparation stages needed in learning, the implementation stage of the teacher provides material and guides students and the evaluation stage together summarizes and concludes from the learning material. Blind students have difficulty in learning mathematics, where teachers have to dictate to students in the learning process, but students have high curiosity and enthusiasm for the material being taught. Meanwhile, the limitations of manipulative learning media and school facilities are an inhibiting factor in the mathematics learning process for blind children. Abstract

Humans as social beings communicate to exchange information. Information has many forms including text data, sound, images, and so on. Not all information is freely accessible. Information security is needed to prevent information from being misused by irresponsible parties. Cryptography studies how to convert information into a form that is unknown except for the sender and recipient of the information. Cryptography is divided into two, classical cryptography and modern cryptography. One form of cryptography that can be found around us is the use of Morse code in scouting. Classical cryptography and modern cryptography can be combined to increase the security of the algorithms used in hiding information. In this article, the transposition algorithm is applied in binary digits. Keys in the form of ASCII characters are converted into binary using modified Morse code and operated with plaintext. The results showed that the combination of transposition algorithm and Morse code modification adds complexity so that the proposed algorithm is difficult for cryptanalysts to solve. Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of interviews with mathematics teachers in explaining the subject matter, and the teacher was less varied by using only the lecture method, and the students' lack of understanding of the absolute value material so that the researchers made JARINUMATIK learning media to attract students' attention in learning. This research is (1) to produce learning media JARINUMATIK on the system material inequality system linear absolute value of one variable. (2) To determine student responses to the resulting learning media. This research method uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data collection instrument was in the form of a material expert validation questionnaire, media expert, practitioner expert, and student responses. From the results of the validation of material experts on the JARINUMATIK media, it got an assessment of 91.6%, the validation results from media experts got a value of 89.2%, and the results of practitioner validation got a value of 94.6%, so that the media was categorized as very valid without revision. The results of student responses as a whole got 86.5% and were classified as excellent media. Therefore, the JARINUMATIK learning media on one variable's linear absolute value inequality system is feasible to use. Keywords: Development, JARINUMATIK media, Absolute Value

Abstract

Stock price movements are very volatile from time to time. The stock price movement is influenced by many factors, including company performance, dividend risk, the country’s economic conditions, and inflation rate. The existence of these complex factors makes stock price movements challenging to predict. Investors need stock price predictions to see the company’s stock investment prospects in the next period. The method that can predict stock prices is Backpropagation. The Backpropagation method is an algorithm that adopts a human mindset systematically to minimize the error rate by adjusting the weights based on differences in output and the desired target. This study uses historical stock index data for LQ45 from February 26, 2019 – February 26, 2021, namely the closing price as an input and the opening price as the target. The best network model from the Backpropagation method uses a binary sigmoid activation function with nine neurons in the hidden layer. The testing accuracy value is 95.2481% (MAPE), and the error value is 0.000266 (MSE). The error value shows that the prediction model results are excellent. Abstract

One of Indonesia's vulnerable Tsunami areas is in Padang City. Padang City is a coastal city, which is located to the east of the Indian Ocean. It is close to the meeting of the Indo-Australian plate and Eurasian plate, which can trigger a powerful earthquake and generate a tsunami. Therefore, determination of the evacuation route is very important to do, particularly in Tsunami high risk areas. One of the highrisk areas is Lubuk Buaya District. The purpose of this research is to set the shortest route for tsunami evacuation as an effort to minimize disaster effects on local residents. The determination of the Tsunami evacuation route is done by forming a path graph, determining the weight of each path segment, and determining the shortest route using the Floyd Warshall Algorithm. The results obtained in this research are the safest and shortest Tsunami evacuation route that can be accessed by pedestrians, motorcyclists, and car drivers. Abstract

The function r is said to be an even function if for every in R. In the polar coordinate system, the graph of the even function is symmetric about the polar axis, i.e., the line , but not vice versa. In this paper, we will introduce a more general definition of an even function, or generalized even functions, in a polar coordinate system, which is given the function and for a in R then for every in R. Abstract

The increases population has resulted in a lot of land being used as residential areas. Whereas Indonesia's topography is very diverse, such as mountains, hills, and plains. Uncontrolled land use by the community can cause various disasters including landslides and floods. Therefore, it is necessary to divide the functional areas starting from the protected function area, the buffer function area, the annual plant cultivation function area and the cultivation and settlement function area. Each of these functional areas has criteria and should stand on their respective functions. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the division of area functions that have been carried out is in accordance with their use by the community. The research is descriptive quantitative approach and comparative test (Mann Whitney). For the 95% confidence level and the two-sided test, the Z table value is ±1.96. Because the calculated Z value (-1.559) > -1.96 and also comparing Asymp .Sig shows the number 0.119 > 0.05, the decision is to accept Ho. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the division of area functions and land use in Kalibawang District, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. Abstract

Time series data analysis can be modelling with autoregressive, moving average and smoothing. Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) is a combination of autoregressive, integrated, and moving average process. Time series in the economic or financial sector often has a volatility effect. Time series data that has high volatility can cause a heteroscedasticity effect, where the data has a non-stationary mean and variance. Model Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH) are appropriate for modelling of time series data that there are heteroscedasticity effect. In a time series data, it is possible that there are outliers that can cause biased data analysis results. Outliers can be removed from the data, but if the outlier is a value that is not due to an error, it can eliminate information and change the sample size. The purpose of this study was to examine the ARCH model and estimate the parameters of the ARCH robust model. To overcome the outliers, a robust ARCH model is needed. Abstract

Every student has a critical thinking process that varies in difficulty. Difference personality characteristics of students influence the thinking process in mathematical problem solving. This study aims to describe each student's critical thinking process based on Polya in terms of Hippocrates Galenus' personality types: choleric, melancholic, phlegmatic, and sanguine. Linear programming is one of the materials that must be critically thought in order to solve the problem. Researchers collected data twice before analyzing the data. The findings of this study show each student's thought process was unique. 1) The Perfect Melancholy Type at Work "need to finish what was started." This type tends to carry out additional clarification or carry out problem-solving plans coherently and clearly, 2) Strong Choleric Type at Work "looking for practical solutions." This type's problem-solving works on questions that seek the final answer without taking the necessary steps. 3) Workplace Peaceful Pleghmatic Type "take the easy way out." This type tends carry out further clarification or carry out a problem-solving plan in a coherent and clear manner, and 4) Popular Work Types "get off to a great start." Abstract

Trauma is a mental health condition that can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Several studies have shown that there are signs of PTSD in COVID survivors. This shows that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic can increase PTSD patients. Therefore, it is important to diagnose the severity of trauma so that appropriate treatment can be carried out and to minimize the risk of increasing PTSD patients during the pandemic. The diagnosis of severity in this paper uses a machine learning classification method using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The formation of this model is expected to help experts in correlating neuro-cognitive data and physiologic data to produce patient trauma diagnoses easily, quickly and precisely. The results of the accuracy using the confusion matrix obtained are 99.537%, so the formed model shows very good performance.
