Abstract

The importance of the application of healthy behaviors in elementary schools need serious attention. Results of a preliminary study revealed the low student behavior, especially on the selection of healthy foods. Efforts to do one of them by conveying this information by using the right media health education. This study aimed to increase the knowledge of elementary school students through health education media "Smart with Your Foods". Implementation has been performed using a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Research subjects are elementary school students. Respondents were divided into the experimental class and control class. This research reveals that "Smart with Your Foods" media effectively to enhance students' knowledge about the selection of healthy foods. Conclusion: This media is effective in improving the selection of foods knowledge for elementary school students

Abstract

The unceasing globalization has a great influence on the lifestyle of the young generation of Indonesia, including habit to consumed fast food. Many research proved, fast food was not good for health. Habit of eating fast food in Indonesia increased from day to day, especially in the adolescent. This is very dangerous because not only bad for health, but also threat our culture. In general, the aim of this study was to conduct a preliminary study in order to develop traditional foods as a nutrition education media for adolescent. The study de-sign was cross sectional, the respondents were students in junior high school in Bandung. Sampling Technique done by purposive. There were 85 respondents. The results showed that the respondents' knowledge about traditional street food from Sundanese are divided into three categories. 40% had a good knowledge, 34% had fair knowledge and 26% had a poor knowledge. Perceptions of respondents about the importance of having knowledge about traditional foods is 41.2% consider it important. Perceptions of the media information that can be used to educate traditional food are posters in schools (37.65%), brochures (4.71%), computer programs (34.14%) and program /application in smart phone (23.53%).

Abstract

Continuous professional development of vocational teachers is a strategic effort to increase the competence of professional vocational teachers in a planned and structured. Professional vocational teachers have mastery of competencies demands a comprehensive multi-dimensional. Competency professional standards based on juridical regulation, which includes professional competence, personal competence, social competence and ped-agogical competence. Multi-professional competence of vocational teachers increasingly complex, because the substance of technological and vocational extremely varied and has very wide dimensions. The dynamics of technological and vocational education has a high acceleration, in line with the development of business and industry. The substance of the subject matter and learning model developed adaptive and portable, so as to synchronize the changes that occur. This paper will identify a comprehensive identity-based teacher professional culture-based model 'Raymond Gagnon'. Teacher professional identity associated with the technical efforts undertaken vocational teachers in West Java in an effort to improve the mastery of basic prerequisite's professional teacher competency standards. Descriptive analysis was conducted to describe the specific technical efforts in improving professional skills had been done, either individually, or in groups of formal institutions. The final result can be seen mapping profile in a structured continuous professional development and conceptual provide strategic impact to the renewal of knowledge and the improvement of teaching practices in the classroom teacher. Implications of the study of the issue of continuing professional development provide a conceptual input to various relevant parties on the professional development of vocational teachers in a more comprehensive, systemic and structured

Abstract

Creative industry is one of sectors that most resistant to the economic crisis. The creative industry is a group of industries that relies on individual creativity, skill and talent that has ability to improve living standards and provide employment through creating ideas and exploiting copyright. To optimize their performance they need guidance and counseling which are appropriate to their characteristics and needs. The aim of this study is develop a model of guidance and counseling which is specific and relevant to the needs of workers in the creative industries. The study used research and development method. Additionally, the study used interviews and observations as the research instrument. The location of study was the district of creative industries in Bandung. The research subjects were 3 creative industries. The results of the study show that counseling system toward the employees has not been implemented comprehensively and sustainably. The guidance and counseling were implemented only on certain aspects related to the quantity and quality of the products. The guidance was implemented only by such industries and has not involved other parties. The conclusion of the study concludes that the creative industries need a model of guidance and counseling which would help them to develop their activities and products must be in accordance with national standard in order to be more competitive.

Abstract

The assessment tool to evaluate learner performance on the apprenticeship is variety. Therefore, we were need a standardized assessment tool. This study was attempt to develop a competency based assessment model on job performance in apprentice of the family welfare education. Problem solving was conducted using research and development approach, through stages of: (1) a study introduction, (2) a development model, and (3) a validation model. The research subjects are internal and external tutors, also a learner intern. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation, survey and expert judgment. The results showed that the planning, the instrument and the implementation of the assessment was the development of competency based assessment model on job performance in family welfare education apprenticeship. Planning assessment was consisting of components of the purpose, job performance, and assessment methods. An instrument assessment was use a test of performance in the form of assessment rubrics. The implementation of the assessment was covering a preparation, collecting, judging, deciding, and moderation stage. From the validation model through the expert judgment, it turns out that assessment model was already developed feasible to implement on job performance assessment in family welfare education apprenticeship

Abstract

The scope of this study relates to the reconstruction of the Sunda ethnic clothing, especially in Bandung marvelous fashion with the intention to reinvest the values of local wisdom Sundanese culture. On Sunda marvelous fashion reconstruction used an experimental method with the following stages: a. Making fashion design Menak Sunda, b. Selection of materials/ material, c. Manufacture of clothing Menak Sunda/ Bandung. Experimental method used to reintroduce a form of fashion Menak Bandung to the public. The results showed that clothing menak Sundanese source can be found in museums Prabu GESAN Ulun is Menak Clothing Bandung. Reconstruction fashion Menak also functions as a medium in instilling the values of local wisdom of Sundanese culture, especially related to the fashion area of Indonesia. Clothing is a cultural phenomenon in a culture, because it is through the visual language/ visualization of clothing, it can be studied, explored and revealed the values contained therein. It also can be a communication medium that has a historical past and the meaning of positive values for the local culture then submitted at the present or future.

Abstract

The companies and industries were very demanding manpower not only must be prepared to work in accordance with their competence but also that very important of them was the work attitude should be good. In fact, currently it was not so because of any manpower that was when received as worker. The study presents the concept of vocational education learning format model that appropriate and comply hopefulness of companies and industries. The method used the literature review, interview, creation of the competency-based learning program of work in companies and industries. The results have shown that the model of learning format was vary and depending on the characteristics of the subject of course to be achieved and attitude learning applied in every learning. Implementation of learning format model should be supported by together from education leadership and head of companies and industries in achieving the goals and benefits together.
