Abstract

Nutrition knowledge is principal issues related to various nutritional problems that occur in Indonesia. Maternal role in children’s growth and development is very dominant, that is in caring for and educating them. Parenting patterns applied by the mother can affect the growth of the children, especially the nutritional status. Goals to be achieved in this study are: 1) to inquire nutrition and health knowledge of mothers with malnutrition children; 2) to examine food and health parenting pattern applied by mothers with malnutrition children and 3 ) to analyze the relationship between nutrition and health knowledge and parenting pattern implemented by the mother. The method used in this study is the Cross-Sectional. The results show that more than half of mothers’ nutrition and health knowledge is in medium category. More than half of mothers’ food parenting pattern is in fairly good category. Whereas, mothers’ health parenting pattern is in good category. Toddlers’ nutritional status, as measured using anthropometry, is generally in normal category. Spearman correlation test results state that there is a positive and significant relationship, and thus it can be concluded that the higher the mother's nutrition knowledge score, the better the food parenting pattern.

Abstract

One of the serious problems faced by Vocational School (SMK) is currently low image perception in the community. Low interest in enrollment, low public supports in class implementation, low industry participation in vocational learning are several indicators of the poor image. This is certainly an obstacle to the successful development of vocational education efforts. Meanwhile, vocational education is an education that focuses on preparing Indonesian youth to enter their world of work. Thus, the condition becomes a challenge to principals‟ leadership in establishing image/promoting. Vocational education development has strong justified philosophical, social, economic and employment aspects. The process of building image requires proper marketing strategies including positioning, differentiation, and school excellence branding. Good image is believed to improve quality of inputs, increase industrial public confidence, increase communities‟ participation and pride to support vocational education, which in turn can improve quality of outputs and outcomes of the vocational education.

Abstract

Performance appraisal is a formal and structured system of measuring and assessing employees’ work performance using performance standards defined by organization. The focus of performance appraisal is to determine the employee productivity, whose results can later be used to motivation the employees to work better. If poor performance appraisal is found, the organization should follow up by providing training so that the employees are able to improve the performance as expected by the organization. Performance appraisals should have validity, agreement, realism, and objectivity, so that the result can be beneficial to the employee being assessed, the assessment team and the company.

Abstract

This study aims to integrate ICT by designing and applying online moodle as an e-learning material for class XII TKR.B students of SMK Negeri 1 Purworejo who undergo On Job Training for three months. In developing the e-learning, researchers use Research and Development method and ADDIE instructional design. Result of this study is the design and implementation of moodle as online learning media for OJT students. Teachers can upload learning modules and provide a test to determine the extent of students' understanding of material provided by the module. Online moodle can be accessed by students anytime and anywhere, either from mobile phone or internet cafes. All facilities provided in online moodle can easily be used as a medium of distance learning.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the relevance of skills in processing software Corel Draw 13, digital format fashion design result, as well as the relevance between the two variables under study. Population and sample of this study are 31 students of Fashion Design Management, Fashion Studies Program, PKK FPTK UPI, class 2005 and 2006. The method used is descriptive correlational method. Data collection is conducted by assessing the tasks in Applied Computer courses and digital format fashion design task Fashion Design class. The data is then processed using statistical calculation/analysis. The results show that participants tend to have very high ability in processing software Corel Draw 13. The qualities of digital format fashion design that are created are mostly at very high criteria. In addition, coefficient of determination obtained in level of confidence 95% and 99% obtains is 81%. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant functional relationship between the ability of processing software Corel Draw 13 and quality of digital format fashion designs created.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the formulated problems; to know to what extent the implementation contribution of entrepreneurship-based teaching industry model, and students' learning motivation towards boutique and patisserie productive skill competence increase in SMK N 9 Bandung. The method adopted to address problems is quantitative approach with correlation techniques. Data collection is conducted through questionnaire dissemination and document studies. This study uses population sample. Results of correlation test and t test are as follow: implementation contribution magnitude of entrepreneurship-based teaching industry model on productive skill competence increase is in fairly high criteria, contribution magnitude of learning motivation on increase in boutique and patisserie productive skills competence has high criteria and implementation contribution magnitude of entrepreneurship-based teaching industry model and learning motivation towards productive skills competence increase has high criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of pneumatic trainer as instructional media in sequential motion control material. The research uses quasi-experimental method with pre and post test design. The material is limited to sequential motion control using two actuators for objects transfer. Control class uses instructional media training kit, while experimental class uses development-result trainer. Essay tests are in form of diagram circuit for application of electroplating products transfer. The results show that the developed pneumatic trainer and training kit are quite effective as media of learning in sequential motion control. Statistical tests indicate no significant difference between the two groups, so that it can be concluded that compared to training kit, the developed pneumatic trainer is not more effective as learning media.
