Abstract

This study aims at determining the relevance of skills in processing software Corel Draw 13, digital format fashion design result, as well as the relevance between the two variables under study. Population and sample of this study are 31 students of Fashion Design Management, Fashion Studies Program, PKK FPTK UPI, class 2005 and 2006. The method used is descriptive correlational method. Data collection is conducted by assessing the tasks in Applied Computer courses and digital format fashion design task Fashion Design class. The data is then processed using statistical calculation/analysis. The results show that participants tend to have very high ability in processing software Corel Draw 13. The qualities of digital format fashion design that are created are mostly at very high criteria. In addition, coefficient of determination obtained in level of confidence 95% and 99% obtains is 81%. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant functional relationship between the ability of processing software Corel Draw 13 and quality of digital format fashion designs created.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada pembelajaran Teknologi Desain Busana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan, sedangkan perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah Adobe Flash. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran interaktif yang dirancang secara menarik akan membangkitkan motivasi dan rangsangan kegiatan belajar siswa, membantu siswa meningkatkan pemahaman materi pembelajaran serta menumbuhkan kreativitas belajar sehingga akan berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Seni Pop Art atau Populer Art merupakan seni populer aliran seni dipengaruhi fenomena sosial maupun budaya yang berkembang di masyarakat. Kehadiran seni Pop Art pada tahun 1960-an di Amerika dan Inggris, budaya pada zaman itu mengaitkan unsur gaya/style yang diusungnya. Gaya Pop Art divisualisasikan pada bentuk karya dimanfaatkan oleh dunia industri khususnya desainer grafis Indonesia diwujudkan pada pakaian menargetkan anak muda sebagai calon konsumen, terlepas dari trend pengunaan teknik, material serta bentuk yang jadi sasaran produksi dalam dunia industri di Indonesia. Sumber ide pada penciptaan karya seni Pop Art menjadi suatu hal yang menarik menggunakan teknik digital print. Keunggulan teknik digital print adalah dapat menghasilkan hasil yang telah dibuat, komposisi warna menghasilkan visual hidup. Dalam penelitian ini mengembangkan teknik digital print dengan menggunakan karya seni Pop Art.

Abstract

Through times, we may aware that clothes carries more values and meanings than merely covering our 'naked-ness'. In today's world, clothing (or fashion) is representing our identities and associated life-styles. Thus, in today's world clothes has commercial weight as it means big business and financial benefits. The ever-increase competition of today clothing business (especially those of fashion industry) is so fierce that time-to-reach-market becomes priority for clothing-business principals. Many turn into digital technology as it offers product efficiencies and speedy processing. This study discusses the effect of digital culture of today into the process of clothes design.

Abstract

Tenun Mandar adalah jenis kain tradisional di Indonesia. Daerah Mandar adalah salah satu penghasil kain tenun tradisional yang tetap mempertaankan teknik pembuatan dengan menggunakan ATBM (Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin) yang mereka buat sendiri. Pembuatan kain tenun Mandar yang rumit untuk menciptakan kualitas yang baik, memberikan nilai tambah pada karya seni tenun di daerah Mandar itu sendiri.Setiap pakaian adat suku Mandar tidak lepas dari penggunaan bahan tenun dengan jenis lipa saqbe. Lipa Saqbe Mandar (Sarung Sutra Mandar) sepintas memiliki persamaan dengan kain sutra daerah lain, tapi di setiap jenis dan nama Lipa Saqbe Mandar memiliki ciri khas khusus yakni dari segi corak (sure' ataupun bunga) dan cara pembuatannya. Agar eksistensi kain tenun tradisional Indonesia dapat bertahan dan terus berkembang, dibutuhkan keberanian untuk membuat dan bereksplorasi dalam mengembangkan berbagai macam kreasi busana dari bahan tersebut, salah satunya menggunakan bahan utama dan mengeksplor tenun Mandar kedalam busana pesta couture yang tetap “ready to wear” yaitu pada Performing Art Costume. Performing art costume adalah busana yang dikenakan untuk acara pertunjukan di atas panggung.Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah menciptakan sebuah karya busana untuk kostum Penyanyi Girl Band Korea yang menonjolkan karakter remaja ceria pada kostumnya dengan mengeksplor Tenun Mandar sebagai material bahan utama.Eksplorasi ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk memperkenalkan kain tenun Mandar pada masyarakat luas, agar tidak hanya dikenal di daerah- daerah, melainkan diseluruh nusantara, bahkan mancanegara.

Abstract

Evaluate the quality of the wall  magazine conducted for measure the capabilities and  assess the quality of the resulting  product  to increase an interesting visualization. This research aims to obtain  data on the quality evaluation result based assement  wall  magazine of  theme, rubric, article content, can  apply  the element and  principal of  layout, and  the ability to operate the software . In this research benefit to be expected to improve the  quality of  assessment in order to improve the quality and standar wall magazine  for a better future. The method used  is descriptive analytic with a total sample by collecting the data through article archive documentation based on the assignment of  creating wall  magazine which consisted of 30 documentation articles as the samples which are related to the Fashion Publication assignment for the students of Design Management,  Fashion Education Major of UPI batch 2010 and 2011. According to the result of the study, it can be concluded  that largely of the students can create an interesting layout for wall magazine based on the quality assessment that interprets the theme  and  rubric. Reviewed , based on the quality assessment of managing the text element, the study result showed that more than half of the students involved in this study can apply the  Headline, subhead, initial caps, bodytext, byline dan wordart, on the layout .Reviewed , based on the quality assessment of managing the visual element, the study showed that more than half of the students involved in this study can apply the Artworks,ornament, background, dan line, Then based on the quality assessment of managing the invisible element, the study showed  that a  half of  the students involved in this study can apply the margin, grid, dan column.Then based on the quality assessment of layout arrangment principal, the study showed that largely of the majority of the respondents have the capability of presenting the quality of sequence, emphasis, balance and unity application, Then the last one was based on the quality assessment to operate software, the study showed that largely of the respondents have the capability of operate software, over all these data are excellent qualifications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas manfaat hasil belajar fashion merchandising sebagai kesiapan menjadi pengelola bisnis fashion di department store. Tujuan penelitian ini umtuk memperoleh data mengenai manfaat hasil belajar fashion merchandising ditinjau dari konsep dasar, penguasaan job description, penguasaan keterampilan fashion merchandising, dan penguasaan perencanaan fashion merchandising. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan alat pengumpul data berupa angket. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Kriya Tekstil Mode Universitas Telkom Bandung berjumlah 30 orang dan sampel yang digunakan yaitu sampel purposive. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya lebih dari setengahnya responden menyatakan terdapat manfaat hasil belajar fashion merchandising sebagai kesiapan menjadi pengelola bisnis fashion di department store, ditinjau dari konsep dasar, penguasaan job description fashion merchandiser, penguasaan materi mengenai fashion merchandiser, dan penguasaan dalam perencanaan fashion merchandising. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian adalah peserta didik sudah optimal dalam memanfaatkan hasil belajar, karena pada umumnya sudah mencapai lebih dari setengahnya peserta didik menguasai kompetensi dalam mata kuliah fashion merchandising.

Abstract

This research investigates the benefits of learning mode design business manajement as a readiness to be fashion consultant in the fashion agency service. This knowledge and skills required to be fashion consultants in a fashion agency can be found and studied in the subject of Mode Design Business Management in Fashion Design Education DPKK FPTK UPI. The purpose of this research is to acquire the data of studying Mode Design Business Management result benefit as part of the preparation in becoming fashion consultant in a fashion agency. The methodology used in this research is descriptive methodology using questionnaires as the data collection tool. The population in this research is the students of Fashion Design Education DPKK FPTK UPI of year 20011-2012. The research results indicate that the majority of the respondents acknowledge the benefit of studying mode design business management as part of the preparation in becoming fashion consultant in a fashion agency.

Abstract

Fashion Photography is a student assignment on the subject of mode publication, photographed models with all fashion instrument to inform or publish things about fashion. The research purposes is to obtain data on the quality of fashion photography assignment in term of several aspects such as camera function, composition, lighting, camera lens focus, poses, expressions, photo effects and integrates the principles of art photography. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic with purposive sample from student of design management who attended and completed the task of making fashion photography course on mode publication subject, which amounts to 30 archive fashion photography assignment. The result showed that more than half of student are able to set shutter speed, shooting distance, and poses in favor of fashion display characteristic’s, and adjust the expressions with the clothing displayed with very high quality. Half of the students have been able to set the focus to produce clear image details with very high quality. Less than half students are able to exploit of the light source with a very high quality, integrating principle of unity with high quality and setting photo effects with low quality.

Abstract

Rose Petal Tellin Shell or also called Pink Tellin Shell with scientific name Tellina Lineata is a mollusca animal that lives in the sea. Rose Petal Tellin is a beautiful shell. The color of the shell is graded pink. The shape of the tellin shells is generally oval. Because of its beauty Rose Petal Tellin Shell provides inspiration to making of an evening party for teenager. Model of dress is a full circle skirt and there some accents on the arm. Center of interest is found on the chest with the application of  corsage garniture that resembles the form of tellin shells. In making the design by considering the model and color of the dress, character who wants performed in this dress is the impression of feminine, cheerful, and dinamic. The method used in making the scientific work is Project Based Learning, which is problem solving activity or finding alternative problem solving using project or activity as media.
