Abstract

This study aims to find the most effective formulation of the gaharu agar wood forming fungi inoculantswhich infect Gyrinops versteegii plants, thus producing high quality agar wood. The method used inthis research is the randomized block design (RBD) with three replication. The treatments were twofungi as inoculant applied saperately each and a combination of Rhisopus sp. and Fusarium sp. in theform of solid and liquid. The treatments tested were: (A) Fusarium solani fungi inoculant in solid form,(B) Rhisopus sp.fungi inoculant in solid form, (C) Mixture of Rhisopus sp. and Fusarium solani fungiinoculants in solid form, (D) Fusarium solani fungi inoculant in liquid form, (E) Rhisopus sp.fungiinoculants in liquid form, (F) Mixture of Rhisopus sp. and Fusarium solani fungi inoculants in liquidform, and (G) A combination of solid and liquid of Rhisopus sp. and Fusarium solani fungi inoculants.The parameters measured were the agar wood formed: agar wood fragrance level, color of agar woodand resin content of the agar wood. Furthermore, the data is analyzed statistically by analysis ofvariance. The results showed that, treatments of inoculants formulations significantly affects the aromaand resin content of agar wood. Formula of G (a combination of solid and liquid Rhisopus sp. andFusarium solani fungi inoculants) and F (a combination of liquid Rhisopus sp. and Fusarium solanifungi inoculants) produced agar wood of the highest quality compared to other formulas. Formula Gand F produced each agar wood with black and blackish-brown colour, with strong aroma (fragrance),and a resin content of 7.69% and 6.98%.

Abstract

The Characteristics of Andisol on Dryland at Batungsel Village, Pupuan District, Tabanan Regency for Growing Coffe and Salacca The purpose of the research was to know the characteristics of Andisol on dryland at Batungsel village, Pupuan District, Tabanan Regency for growing coffea and salacca plant. Soil survey methods and laboratory analysis were used in this research. The parameters of soil characteristics were observed i.e. soil morphology in the fields, physical and chemical, and mineralogical properties. Soil classification was done based on Soil Taxonomy system by using Keys to Soil Taxonomy (2003). Soil characteristics were: soil colour was dark bown, solum depth was deep (>100 cm),CEC was high, base saturation was high, and had a good soil fertility.Based on Soil Taxonomy system, the soil families were Typic Hapludands, ashy, isohyperthermic. The land suitability was suitable enough for coffea and salacca.

Abstract

Biological and Demographic Parameters of Parasitoid Diadegma semiclausum Hellen (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) on Plutella xylostella L. (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae). Diadegma semiclausum Hellen (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) is one of the parasitoid larvae which attacks Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) effectively. This research was aimed to know the biology of parasitoid D. semiclausum in broccoli. The research was carried out in a laboratory by observing the development of parasitoid, fecundity, longevity the males and females as well as parameters demographic of D. semiclausum. The results showed that immature development time of D. semiclausum parasitoid from egg up to adult the imago was 10.65 ± 0.63 days, with the number of fecundity was 22.9 grains. Longevity of male imago of D. semiclausum was 12.10 ± 0.74 days and imago of females 9.80 ± 1.87 days. Parameters demographic of D. semiclausum showed that net reproduction rate (R0) was 22.11 per generation, intrinsic growth rate (r) was 0.18 per day, limited increased rate (?) was 1.16 individuals per day, generation time (T) was 17.50 day.

Abstract

Rice production in Purwakarta district is fairly good because productivity is not low (5.73 t/ha). However, rice cultivation needs improvement so that productivity can be increased. Therefore, BPTP West Java from 2007 to 2012 has conducted several studies of technological innovation in Purwakarta district in an effort to increase rice production. The purpose of this paper is to inform the results of studies that have been conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture in Purwakarta Regency of West Java to support the National Rice Production Enhancement Program (P2BN). Based on the results of the assessment of a range of new varieties (VUB), it was found that Mekongga, Ciherang, Inpari 2 varieties were good and were selected by the farmers in the district of Wanayasa and Pondok Salam. Morevore to support IP-400 rice, no-tillage system (TOT) can shorten the time of land preparation using locally probiotic microbes such as Agri Simba. The dose of Agri Simba used to accelerate the degradation of rice straw was best 10 liters/ha. The application of NPK fertilizer use is more practical than single fertilizer. Morevore the addition of local probiotic (Agri Super) NPK Kujang did not show any interaction effect on rice yield of Inpari 13 variety. The administration of local probiotic Agri Super showed 20% higher yields Agri Simba. The addition of NPK Kujang at 300 kg/ha produced the highest yield at 8.24 tons/ha paddy, and the lowest yield produced by 200 kg/ha NPK approximately at 7.55 tons/ha paddy.

Abstract

Increasing the Production and Quality of Grape Yield with Drip Irrigation and Mineral Plus Fertilizer. The aim of this research was to find out the optimum of irrigation intervals and mineral plus fertilizer application in order to increase the production and quality of grape yield. The research was set up for two years program. In the first year, the observation was focused on vegetative growth while yield production was observed in the second year. Three intervals of irrigation viz 2, 4 and 6 days and mineral plus fertilizer dose (M , M 0 and M ) was tested in nested randomized block design with three replications. Parameter of vegetative growth such as plant height, stem diameter and number of branch was measured regularly. Supporting parameters such as soil moisture content, soil water potential, plant water status as indicated by relative water content (RWC) was also measured. In the second year, the production and quality of yield such as number of bunch per plant, number of fruit per bunch and sugar content of fruit were measured. The results showed that mineral plus fertilizer gave a significant effect on grape production, both in first and second harvest. Total yield production of first and second harvest of treatment M0, M1 and M2 was 23.63 kg 27.95 kg and 30.81 kg, respectively. The yield was increased of 18.28 % and 30.38 % of M1 and M2 compare to M0. Interval water supply, has a significant effect on grape yield both in first and second harvest. Total yield production of I1, I2 and I3 was 33.04 kg, 28.18 kg and 21.17 kg, respectively. This was decreased of about 14.71% and 35.93% of I2 and I3 compare to I1. Yield quality was increased as mineral fertilizer increased. Sugar content, volume of seed and respondent that mentioned the yield was sweet, significantly increased as mineral plus fertilizer increased

Abstract

Paddy Rice Stemborer Attact and The Role of Parasitoid in Control That Population atSimultaneous and Stagered Ricefield. The arrangement of suistable agriculture in Baliwhich appropriate with Bali governments mission : Bali Clean and Green Go to Organic. Theconcept of modern agriculture look like contradiction with the aspects suistainableagriculture. The aspect of cultivation have been done by local agriculture community in Balicall it Subak for many years, but the attack of yellow rice borer still happen, wich adversefarmers side, persist. The efforts control wich has been done, still rely on pesticides, becauseit can give quick effect, but it is not appropriate for suistainable agriculture. The othersolution to solve that issues with the integrated pest management (IPM) as the maincomponent of with is the role parasitoids. The experiment was carried out at simultaneousplanting area (Subak Sidakarya, Denpasar Selatan District) and at staggered planting area(Subak Buaji, Denpasar Timur District). The result of this experiment showed that damageintensity of rice stemborer at simmultaneus planting was lower than at staggered plantingarea. There are four species stemborer at simultaneous planting area and at staggered plantingareas, namely Scirpophaga incertulas, Sesamia inferens, Chilo suppressalis, and Chilopolychrysus. Three kinds of egg parasitoids were found to decrease the population of ricedstemborer. They were Tetrastichus schoenobii, Telenomus rowani and Trichogrammajaponicum.

Abstract

Role in Increasing Efficiency Organic Fertilizers Inorganic Fertilizer and Soybean Production Edamame (Glycine max L. Merill) on The Ground in Subgroup Vertic Epiaquepts at Pegok Denpasar. The study entitled "The Role of Organic Materials In Inorganic Fertilizer Efficiency Improvement and Edamame Soybean Production In subgroup Vertic Epiaquepts" conducted from July to October 2016 at the Faculty of Agriculture Experimental Farm UNUD to design a randomized block design (RBD). The treatments tested were: 1) P0 = control (without fertilizer); 2) P1 = standard NPK fertilizer (300 kg/ha Phonska); 3) P2 = 5 t/ha petroganik + 50% NPK 4) P3 = 10 t/ha petroganik + 50% NPK; 5) P4 = 15 t/ha petroganik. The results showed that the treatment tested significantly affected parameters: plant height maximum, the number of branches/clump, number of pods containing/clump,the percentage of pods containing/clump, production pods contain/plot, heavy berangkasan fresh/clump, and the estimated production of peas contains /ha. Estimated production of pods contain/ha in a row from the highest are: P3 (22.45 tonnes/ha), P4 (17.73 tonnes/ha), P2 (17.01 tonnes/ha), P1 (16.63 tons/ha), and P0 (10.80 tonnes/ha). Agronomic efficiency indicated by the RAE in each treatment were tested in order are: P3 = 199.83%, P4 = 118.87%, P2 = 103.50%. When compared with the standard fertilizer treatment (P1), the P3 increased efficiency of 99.83%, in P2 by 3.5%, and in P4 amounted to 18.8%.
