It took a total production of Rp.209,3 million dan a total income ofRp.122,9 million per hectare. Efficiency rate of vanilla farm was enough high. Withinterest rate 24 dan 30 %, vanilla farm reached B/C Ratio of 3,58 dan 2,45, dan reachedNPV of Rp.35,03 million dan Rp.26,07 million, respectively. It means that accretion of fruit length equal to 10 percent willimprove the vanilla price equal to 6.7 percent. Some suggestions to increasing productivitydan quality of vanilla product were; ( i) knowledge dan skilled of farmer have to beimproved continuously in line with the increasing of new innovation, ( ii) role of farmergroup have to be improved, dan (iii) private sector as agent of agribusiness like productprocessing dan exporter have to include in assisting farmer. Abstract

The food policy is so strong on rice commodity and less noticing other foodcommodities. The objectives of this paper is to analyze supply and demand of beansand tubers in Indonesia, using secondary data from Center Bureaue of Statistic (CBS).The Results are : 1) economic crisis cause the production of beans and tubers decreasedue to the decreasing of planted area. The import of those commodity increase but theirvolume of export tend to decrease; 2) the economic crisis also induces impact onincreasing soybeans and cassava consumption as a result of substitution from animal tovegetables food and from rice to cassava.; 3) food and feed industries development hasa positive growth that can be seen from the increasing volume and value of outputproduct from beans and tubers; 4) in the next 10 years, demand of soybeans will beincreasing but their production tend to decrease. The demand of cassava is alsoincreasing and the production will be decreasing so it cause negative gap betweendemand and production in 2006. In anticipating the demand of beans and tubers, especially for soybeans and cassava, Indonesian Agency of Agricultural Research andDevelopment (AARD) has important role to develop farm technology for increasingproductivity of both commodity. The AARD has a challenge to invent the high varietyof commodity which technically suitable, economically profitable and sociallyacceptable. On the other hand, Indonesian government should arrange tariff policy inimport commodity procedure, especially soybeans, to give protection to the farmer.

Abstract

PT SMS, the central government in collaboration with the regional government of Dompu district in 2014 has developed sugarcane farming especially on dry land / moor accompanied by the construction of a sugar factory. The shift in the function of sugar cane development land is due to the conversion of technical irrigated rice fields into industrial buildings and other infrastructure. With the shift in sugarcane cultivation on dry land / moor it is expected to achieve national sugar self-sufficiency targets. The implementation of intensification and extensification of sugarcane farming on dry land can be done by assisting and escorting technology through the provision of appropriate technology (P3GI, 2008). The purpose of this study is 1). to find out the role of stakeholders in the activities of the Development of People's Sugar Cane in the concentrated sugar factory (PG) of PT SMS in Dompu Regency, 2). to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of the role of stakeholders in the activities of the Development of People's Sugar Cane in PT SMS Dompu Regency. Based on the studies that have been conducted, it can be concluded that the relevant stakeholders in the Development of People's Sugar Cane in the work area of PT SMS have performed their roles well. This can be seen from the role of stakeholders in activities (1) Providing capital credit to sugarcane farmers; (2) Extension activities; (3) Partnership Meeting Forum Activities; (4) Core garden activities; and (5) payment system. It's just that extension workers in the plantation sector need to be improved by providing assistance to sugarcane farmers intensively.
