Abstract

Earnings growth is an indicator of company performance by using previous period earnings to calculate future earnings. Measures managerial efficiency in the economy of operating companies. There are several factors that can affect the profit growth of Islamic banks in general, including CSR as a corporate responsibility activity towards social and islamicity performance index. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the social activities of Islamic banks through CSR are able to influence the increase in profit or profit growth. The research method in this study is descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study is an Islamic bank in Indonesia. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling, namely Islamic banks registered with the Financial Services Authority and reporting annual financial reports from 2015 to 2022, so the sample in this study was 7 Islamic banks. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the financial statements of each bank sampled, CSR data obtained from the disclosure of CSR activities in the financial statements covering 8 dimensions of corporate social responsibility measurement GRI indicators, namely: Vision & Mission Statement, Board of Directors and Top Management, Products and Services, Zakat, Charity, and Benevolent Funds, Commitment to employees, Commitment to debtors, Commitment to customers, and Sharia Supervisory Board or DPS Sharia reported, and calculate the formula for each variable.  Data analysis in this study used panel data regression, and the model chosen was the fixed effect model. The data analysis technique in this study is panel data analysis (chow test, hausman test, classical assumption test, f test, t test, and coefficient of determination).  The results showed that partially CSR social activities affect the profit growth of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, namely by helping the community in financial management, education, economy, health, environment, and transparency, Islamic banks can build a good image in the eyes of the community and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, which can have a positive effect on the profitability of Islamic banks. Islamicity Performance Index has no effect on the profit growth of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. And in the simultaneous test CSR and Islamicity Performance Index simultaneously affect profit growth.Keywords: Profit Growth, CSR, Islamicity Performance Index.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect the poverty level in North Maluku province. This study is a type of quantitative descriptive research that uses primary and secondary data. The method of data collection involves obtaining information from the official website of the Central Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and other sources that support this research. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is no relationship between the open unemployment rate (OUR) and poverty in North Maluku. Additionally, a negative relationship was found between literacy rate (LR) and poverty, which means that the lower the literacy rate, the higher the poverty level. Furthermore, the life expectancy variable (LE) was found to have an influence on the poverty level in North Maluku. for future researchers to be able to add variables and scope of data collection so that the research can be even better.Keywords: influence of OUR, LR, and LE on poverty.

Abstract

Ponorogo Regency is one of the rice centers in East Java. However, farmers in Ponorogo Regency face challenges regarding limited capital for their agricultural activities and difficulties in obtaining fertilizers. PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera is a company that partners with farmers in Ponorogo Regency to provide the necessary facilities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze (1) the partnership pattern between PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera and partner farmers in Ponorogo Regency and (2) the factors influencing the production of partner rice farming. This research was conducted at PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera in Ponorogo Regency from December 2023 to March 2024. This study used a mixed-method research design. A sample of 33 respondents was determined using purposive sampling method. Data analysis was performed using Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) with frontier 4.1c software. The results showed that the partnership pattern between PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera and farmers in Ponorogo Regency is Agricultural Operational Cooperation (KOA). Factors such as land area, ANR fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and pesticides significantly influence rice production. However, seeds, liquid organic fertilizer, and labor do not significantly affect rice production. It is recommended that PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera establish a clear partnership framework through transparent written contracts to minimize risks. Farmers are advised to focus on managing factors that significantly influence rice production, such as land area, ANR fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and pesticide use, while evaluating other factors such as seeds, liquid organic fertilizer, and labor to improve rice production.Keywords: partnership patterns, farming, rice.

Abstract

The Barbie 2023 film is an audiovisual work that provides an overview of popular culture and can influence gender perceptions in society. This research aims to explore gender representation among the main characters in the film Barbie 2023. Qualitative research methods with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis techniques are used to find out the meaning construction of symbols and signs both verbal and nonverbal to explain gender representations in barbie films. The analysis displays gender stereotypes that influence the career choices, aspirations, and perceived abilities of the main characters. However, the film also depicts empowerment in which characters such as Barbie, Ken, and Midge challenge gender stereotypes, expand life options, and develop a social awareness of equality. The dynamics of relationships between characters also show changing views about gender. The correlation of this film with social studies education provides an opportunity to explore gender issues. This film is a learning material that stimulates critical thinking, reflection, and the development of students' social skills, such as empathy and cooperation, to fight for inclusive and just social change. The analysis of the Barbie 2023 film highlights the representation of the character's role in influencing gender perceptions, aspirations and the dynamics of social relationships. The film showcases the potential for overcoming gender stereotypes, promoting empowerment, and promoting gender equality as an integral part of social studies education to create an inclusive and just society for all individuals. Further studies could explore effective educational strategies to overcome gender stereotypes reflected in films, as well as their influence on students' mindsets in the context of gender equality.Keywords: Gender Stereotypes, Relationship Dynamics, Social Sciences Education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Social studies learning activities in general still do not take advantage of the use of technology-based learning media because of the limited number and type of media as well as the limited ability of the teacher. The learning media used by teachers is still textual in nature, that is, it only comes from textbooks so that it makes students' interest and motivation in learning social studies, especially historical material, to be low. To overcome these problems, developed innovative technology-based learning media, namely motion graphics. The aim of this research is developing motion graphics teaching media and testing the feasibility of IPS teaching media on Indische Partij material. The method used in this study uses an R&D approach with the ADDIE model. The product trial process was carried out in class VIII SMP PGRI 1 Kesamben. ADDIE's stages for developing teaching media include 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluate. The feasibility test results from the expert validator show a percentage of 95.45%. for material validation, 90.62% for language validation, and 95.45% for media validation. While the test results on students obtained an average value of 89.10%. Based on these averages it can be stated that motion graphics products as social studies learning media are "very feasible" to be used in learning activities and can be disseminated without going through revisions. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe grade of education in Indonesia is still in the "Medium" category and the low level of digital literacy indicates that the learning process in the classroom is not yet optimal. One form of effort that can be made to deal with this problem is by following the online tutoring system in the hope of improving their learning abilities so that they can improve results according to expectations. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that can influence the use of an online tutoring system based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Some researchers try to add external variables with the aim of developing TAM theory. This research adds digital literacy factors that focus on students as new research. The population of this research was 9,042 senior high school students in Surakarta and 270 students were used as samples. This study used a quantitative method. Research data was collected by spreading questionnaires online with GForm. The data collection technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. Data analysis was carried out using hierarchical regression analysis and the Sobel test. The research results show that perceived usefulness, ease of use, and digital literacy have a positive influence on the use of online tutoring systems. Digital literacy has also been proven to have an influence on perceptions of usefulness and ease of use. Then perceived usefulness and ease of use were also attested to mediate the connection between digital literacy and the use of online tutoring systems.Keywords: Digital Literacy, Online Tutoring System, TAM

Abstract

This research is based on the current phenomenon that adolescents are easily influenced by consumptive behaviour. This is based on the fear that teenagers will decrease their social status or self-esteem, which causes irrational consumption patterns to continue. This research uses quantitative methods that focus on data that can be measured or numerical to test a hypothesis. Data collection techniques with observation and questionnaires. The population in this study were 224 Adiluhur High School students and a sample of 144 using the data sampling technique. The tests used in this study were the Chi Quadrat test and regression linearity test. Pearson product-moment (PPM) correlation test, T-test, and determination coefficient test. The results of the research analysis of the correlation between social class and the consumptive behaviour of high school teenage students obtained at 0.000 there is a sig value <0.005 and received the results of tcount> Ttable obtained by 10.866> 1.1655 then H0 is rejected, Ha is accepted, meaning there is a positive and significant relationship between social class and wasteful behaviour. It is known that the R Square value is 0.454, so it can be concluded that the relationship between social class and consumptive behaviour is 45.4%. Known Pearson correlation variable social class and consumptive behaviour of 0.674, this value has a strong level of relationship.Keywords: Social class, consumptive behaviour, high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the influence of motivation and social environment on entrepreneurial interest in Madrasah Aliyah Al Jazuliyah. Motivation and social environment have been identified as key factors that influence the tendency of individuals to start and run their businesses. This research uses descriptive and associative methods with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique in this study used a non-probability sampling technique of saturated sampling type, with a total sample of 117 students of Madrasah Aliyah Al Jazuliyah as respondents. Semantic differential is used as a scale, and the data analysis techniques used in this study are classical tests, multiple correlation coefficients, determination coefficients, multiple linear regression, and simultaneous hypothesis testing (F test) and partially (T test). The results in this study indicate that motivation has a significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of active students of Madrasah Aliyah Al Jazuliyah, this is proved by the obtained T hitutng 4.176> 1.658 T table which means T count greater than T table. Likewise, the social environment has a significant influence on active students of Madrasah Aliyah Al Jazuliyah, this is confirmed by the obtained T hitutng 8.793> 1.658 T table which means that T count is greater than T table. And motivation and social environment together have a very strong and significant influence on students' entrepreneurial interest, highlighting the importance of these factors in fostering entrepreneurial intentions.Keywords: Social Environment, Interest in Entrepreneurship, Motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of market orientation on business growth of fashion MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Sukabumi City, with innovation capability as the mediating variable. The focus of this study is to understand the extent to which market orientation affects innovation capability and business growth, and how innovation capability mediates the relationship. The research method used was quantitative with a causal descriptive approach. The study population consisted of 4,380 fashion MSMEs in Sukabumi City, with 200 MSMEs selected as samples through purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaires, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS 22 program. The results showed that market orientation has a positive and significant influence on innovation capability, indicated by the Critical Ratio (C.R) value of 0.674 and probability of 0.000. In addition, market orientation also has a positive and significant effect on business growth, with a C.R value of 0.839 and a probability of 0.000. Innovation capability is also found to have a significant influence on business growth, with a C.R value of 0.155 and a probability of 0.000. The mediation analysis results show that the effect of market orientation on business growth is stronger through innovation capability than its direct effect, as evidenced by the Sobel test value of 11,216, exceeding the z-table value of 1,969. Thus, the conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of developing innovation capability in line with effective market orientation for fashion MSMEs in Sukabumi City to achieve optimal business growth.Keywords: Market Orientation; Innovation Capability; Business Growth; Fashion MSMEs.

Abstract

One way to develop tourism in Banten to achieve these contributions is through a cultural approach using the technopreneur model. This approach is interesting to study and apply in tourism development because its concept integrates and collaborates the strengths of cultural roles, technological roles, and entrepreneurial spirit. This integration allows for mutual development among culture, technology, entrepreneurship, and tourism to achieve the aforementioned goals. This study aims to describe the cultural approach in tourism development, and the application of the cultural approach in Banten tourism development through the technopreneur model. To achieve these objectives, a qualitative research method was used with a literature review approach. Data is obtained by reading theories that are relevant to the research problems. The study was conducted in January-June 2024. Data credibility is carried out by increasing the number of journals used as references. Data analysis is carried out using four stages, starting from data collection, data classification, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the literature review study concluded that the cultural approach model for Banten tourism can be concluded through the following steps. First, Banten tourism must be developed by paying attention to, maintaining, preserving, developing, advancing, and utilizing the diversity. Second, creating and growing entrepreneurs who have an entrepreneurial spirit. Third, through the technopreneur model, steps are taken to pay attention to, maintain, preserve, develop, advance, and utilize the diversity. Fourth, working on diverse cultural tourism so that it attracts many tourists to visit; creating and growing tourism entrepreneurs. Fifth, optimizing the cultural approach with the integration of technological competence and entrepreneurial spirit in tourism development.
