Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain who were the Hero and Villains contributed to rhetorical vision’s legitimation and the shared meaning embraced in the Grand Reunion of Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 in 2019. Rhetorical vision is determined by the dominant character and symbolic cues embraced as shared meanings in a group. This study used qualitative approach, while the data was collected using virtual ethnography method and analyzed using Borman’s Fantasy Theme’s Analysis. From the results of the study it was found that the dominant character mentioned in the reunion as a hero was Habib Rizieq Shihab, while the characters named as criminals were those who were considered to have defamed Islam, such as Abu Janda, Ade Armando, Sukmawati Soekarno Putri and Viktor Laiskodat. The rhetorical vision carried out is Moslem’s victory. The grand reunion was held as an effort to urge the government to be more assertive and responsive to contemporary issues faced by Muslims in Indonesia.

Abstract

Javanesse traditional shadow puppet (wayang) if we look through the story we can see that it is adapted from Hinduism. It was taken from great epic story. The ara Ramayana  and  Mahabharata.  It  does  not  wonder  if  we  find  opposite  valuesbeetwen Hinduism and monotheism (tauhid). It was noted by Walisongo at that time. They tried to do some reduction to things that opposite monotheism. They adapted inti Tauhid values so that they can di their mission successfully. In many adapti on, we can take  a  look  into  the  construction  of  Batara  Guru‟s character.  By  using  description analysis,  this article to  dig to  know  how  deep  Walisongo  constructed Batara Guru‟s character to reduct values that opposite tauhid. As a result, the construction idea of Batara Guru -as a representation of Siva- does not hurt anybody. It is all caused by the wisdom and creativity of Walisongo in constructing the character of Batara Guru greatly and smartly.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kesenian wayang dilihat dari segi cerita merupakan karya adoptif yang berasal dari ajaran Hindu, yakni dua epos besar Ramayana dan Mahabharata. Menjadi tidak mengherankan jika kemudian nilai Hinduisme yang bertentangan dengan nilai tauhid menjadi sesuatu yang begitu diperhatikan oleh Walisongo saat itu. Upaya reduksi terhadap nilai-nilai non-tauhid pada akhirnya dilakukan oleh Walisongo sebagai sebuah penyesuaian terhadap dakwah Islamiah yang mereka lakukan. Satu dari sekian banyak upaya itu terdapat dalam kontruksi penokohan Batara Guru. Menggunakan deskriptif analisis artikel ini mencoba menggali sejauh mana kontruksi terhadap karakter Batara Guru yang dilakukan dalam rangka mereduksi nilai-nilai non-tauhid. Alhasil kontruksi karakter yang  sejatinya  merupakan  representasi  dari  Dewa  Siwa  ini  dilakukan  dengan tanpa melukai siapa pun pada saat itu. Semua itu karena kebijaksanaan dan kreatifitas Walisongo dalam mengkontruksi karakter Batara Guru secara apik dan cerdas.

Abstract

The study aims to uncovered the facts behind the scientific authority that was showed by Gus Izza Sadewa (the son of KH. Imron Jamil Jombang), who was only 15 years old and was able to present a scientific identity and sufism practices that was very beneficial. The author focuses on YouTube's new media as a shaping of scientific authority in the cyberculture world. The author analyzes the content analysis of some YouTube videos about Gus Izza. The content provided is manifested in aspects of contextual sufism. According to Heidi A. Campbell, there are 4 things that influence a religion or a text ideology, namely hierarchy (value), structure, ideology, and text. The results obtained from several segments of the hierarchy or values formed in the self of Gus Izza, he has Sufism and mature scientific authority, which can be proven by giving explanations about monotheism, the most important in looking for mursyhd-teachers, faith, actualizing worship that applied in daily life. All of those have the main orientation in the virtue ethics (akhlaq al-karimah).

Abstract

This research purpose to describe the communication of the Majlis Sema'an Al-Qur'ān Jantiko Mantab and Dzikrul Ghōfīlīn in their position as a group that has influential religious activities and is in the public interest.By using communication privacy management theory, the author tries to explain the dialectical process carried out by MSQ Jantiko Mantab and Dzikrul Ghōfīlīn in developing their activities.The result, that MSQ Jantiko Mantab and Dzikrul Ghōfīlīn conducted the opening of private information with direct and indirect communication.They congregation conducted the opening of private information aimed at clarifying misunderstandings regarding the activities of the MSQ of Jantiko Mantab and Dzikrul Ghōfīlīn. Information disclosure also purpose to develop the MSQ Jantiko Mantab and Dzikrul Ghōfīlīn in various regions. It was proven that initially only a few people attended, now thousands of people followed, and their activities were carried out in various regions, especially East Java.

Abstract

This is simply the best book that I have read on the aesthetics of new media. Other authors have often made exaggerated and superficial claims about the novelty of art and design in the new digital technologies. Manovich offers us instead a sober and yet always fresh and exciting analysis of the relationships between new media and their predecessors, especially cinema. As a practicing artist as well as a theorist and historian of media, Manovich can explain the continuities with the past. This sense of history enables him to argue convincingly for the qualities of new media that he believes are truly new.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Teknologi digital merupakan teknologi yang tidak lagi mengggunakan tenaga manusia atau manual. Sistem digital adalah perkembangan dari sistem analog. Digitalisasi cenderung pada sistem pengoperasian yang otomatis dengan format yang dapat dibaca oleh komputer. Perubahan sistem analog ke digital telah mengubah banyak hal dan mengancam eksistensi media cetak. Sebagian besar pelanggan media cetak telah beralih ke penggunaan teknologi on line yang lebih feksibel, bisa membaca informasi terbaru kapan saja dan dimana saja. Penyajian yang lebih hidup telah menarik pengiklan.

Abstract

Digital media creates a gap in the definition of the communication context created by West Turner (2010). Situational boundaries are increasingly unclear when in the whole process the number of participants, distance, space, feedback, media functions, and variety of channels are integrated. This study aims to analyze the implications of digital media functions in elaborating interpersonal communication to successfully mobilize groups. The study was conducted by reviewing the literature on new digital media theories. As a result, connectedness occurs as a character of interpersonal communication in digital new media. When these context is elaborated by digital media so that integrating more participants, interaction is not just merely connection anymore, but focuses on shared meaning. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed students consumer behavior from offline to online. The problem in this research is how students’ consumer behavior in online shopping in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the modification of consumer behavior due to regulations and procedures for shopping and buying the products they need. This research is a quantitative study using a survey method. This study is a quantitative research using a survey method. Sampling was done by stratified random sampling, the number of those students FISIP UNS involved as many as 80 people. The results and conclusions of research show that in online shopping, there is a modification of consumer behavior related student needs product, information search, evaluation prior to purchase or an alternative choice, and in the decision to buy or use the product.

Abstract

Globalization requires people to be wise. Because, globalization has two different sides, can even contradict each other. On the one hand, globalization offers convenience and promises progress. However, on the other hand, globalization can be destructive, even destructive if one rejects it. Admittedly or not, the impac t of globalization  is  very  influential  on  the behavior  and  culture  of  people  in  developing countries, especially Indonesia. World globals and challenges must be addressed with wisdom and positive thinking, because globalization and modernization are indispensable and beneficial for progress.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Globalisasi menuntut manusia bersikap bijak. Sebab, globalisasi memiliki dua sisi yang berbeda, bahkan bisa saling bertentangan. Di satu sisi, globalisasi menawaran kemudahan dan menjanjikan kemajuan. Namun, pada sisi yang lain, globalisasi bisa merusak, bahkan bisa menghancurkan jika salah menyikapinya. Diakui atau tidak, dampak globalisasi kenyataannya sangat berpengaruh terhadap prilaku dan budaya masyarakat di negara berkembang, khususnya Indonesia. Pengglobalan dunia dan tantangannya harus disikapi dengan arif dan  positive thinking, karena globalisasi dan modernisasi sangat diperlukan dan bermanfaat bagi kemajuan.

Abstract

This article aims to study the urgency of applying journalistic ethics in online Islamic media activities. The study focuses on analyzing the seven standards of Islamic Media Literacy from Indonesian Ministry of Religion, namely (1) principles of online news production, (2) news distribution ethics, (3) accuracy and anti hoax, (4) the spirit of amar ma'ruf nahyi munkar, (5) principle of wisdom in da'wah, (6) principles in digital interaction, and 7) principle of press freedom. By using the qualitative method of library research, we argue that these seven principles could be said as journalistic ethics that must be applied in Islamic media reporting activities. These values are extremely important for Islamic media activities because the credibility of journalists and media institutions is related to public assessment which is quite determining the continuity of media life. The news in online Islamic media has different characteristics from other media. Online Islamic media cannot avoid how a text or symbol is presented in the category of fundamentalism-radicalism or moderate Islamic ideology. Problems arise when the radical Islamic ideology is more dominant than moderate Islamic ideology so that it is not uncommon for the Islamic media to get caught up in provocative actions which in some limits create disharmony for people's lives. If that is the case, the application of peaceful journalistic values becomes important to display Islamic da'wah of rahmatan li alamin.

Abstract

Communication  strategy Hijabers  Semarang  not  yet  fully  use  communication strategy, because it does not have a foundation that is structured in terms of media and audience selection and in the evaluation process. However, the process has changed the interest of young Muslim women to use hijab. In formulating a communication strategy, In the preparation of the message, Hijabers Semarang raised the theme that is currently actual among young muslimah, so this makes additional value for Hijabers Semarang among young women themselves. The method used by Hijabers Semarang in delivering hijab syiar to young Muslim women is by Redundancy method, by spreading the broadcast  repeatedly to be easily  remembered by  young  muslimah. Canalizing, by plunging directly into the field involving Semarang Hijabers members and committees, to be able to determine and identify similarities and differences so that Hijabers Semarang is easier to make adjustments with audiences. Used strategy persuasive, educative and informative. Hijabers Semarang take advantage of various social media such as facebook, twitter, instagram, and web blog.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Strategi komunikasi Hijabers Semarang belum seutuhnya menggunakan strategi komunikasi, karena tidak mempunyai landasan yang terstruktur dalam hal pemilihan media dan khalayak serta dalam proses evaluasi. Akan tetapi, proses yang terjadi telah berhasil mengubah minat muslimah muda untuk menggunakan hijab. Dalam menyusun strategi komunikasi, Hijabers Semarang mengenal khalayak dengan cara survei atau mendatangi langsung sasaran dan mengomunikasikan dengan pihak sasaran. Pada penyusunan pesan, Metode yang digunakan Hijabers Semarang dalam menyampaikan syiar hijab  pada  muslimah  muda  adalah  dengan  metode  Redundancy, dengan  menyebarkan broadcast  berulang-ulang  kali  agar  mudah  diingat  oleh  muslimah  muda.  Canalizing, dengan terjun langsung ke lapangan yang melibatkan anggota dan komite Hijabers Semarang, untuk dapat menentukan dan mengidentifikasi persamaan dan perbedaan sehingga Hijabers Semarang lebih mudah melakukan penyesuaian dengan khalayak. Persuasif, pada kegiatan hijab and beauty class dan Gerakan Seribu Kerudung, khalayak dipengaruhi dengan jalan membujuk dan digugah baik pikiran maupun perasaan. Strategi yang  digunakan   bersifat   persuasive,   edukatif   dan   informative.  Hijabers Semarangmemanfaatkan berbagai media sosial seperti facebook, twitter, instagram, dan web blog.
