Abstract

Diskursus pembangunan sering mengeksklusi kelompok yang dianggap mengganggu tatanan sosial; salah satunya adalah penanganan anak jalanan oleh pemerintah daerah di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Implementasi kebijakan yang dikembangkan oleh pemerintah daerah sering hanya bersifat instrumental, bahkan cenderung represif, serta tidak mengatasi akar persoalan anak jalanan. Hal itu merupakan konsekuensi dari konstruksi sosial, terutama melalui penetapan stigma-stigma negatif bagi anak jalanan, yang dikembangkan oleh para aktor pembangunan. Sehingga ketimpangan sosial pun bertahan tanpa adanya solusi kreatif dalam pemberdayaan anak jalanan. Karenanya, tulisan ini berupaya meninjau diskursus pembangunan sosial dan konsekuensinya bagi anak jalanan, serta mengusulkan pola pembangunan sosial yang lebih kreatif dan partisipatif dalam menangani anak jalanan.Keywords: diskursus pembangunan, eksklusi sosial, anak jalanan, ruang alternatif.

Abstract

Masyarakat miskin yang tinggal di bantaran Kali Ciliwung sudah lama mengalami beragam persoalan sosial, dari serangan banjir, keterbatasan kesempatan kerja, hingga ancaman penggusuran. Namun, melalui pendampingan Yayasan Ciliwung Merdeka (YCM),  masyarakat bantaran Kali Ciliwung mampu bertahan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari, membangun sistem komunal, mengembangkan usaha informal, serta menciptakan pola hidup yang dinamis. Karenanya, YCM memiliki peran penting dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui penyelenggaraan program-program sosial dalam dimensi luas, yang meliputi kegiatan kesehatan, pendidikan, pemberdayaan ekonomi, kesenian dan kebudayaan, serta aksi peduli lingkungan. Dengan modal dan jaringan sosial yang dimiliki YCM, masyarakat di bantaran Kali Ciliwung mampu menjadi mandiri dan produktif. Tulisan ini akan mengkaji dinamika dan relasi sosial masyarakat miskin yang tinggal di bantaran Kali Ciliwung.Keywords: social capital, trust, networking, community development, civil society.

Abstract

Isu kebencanaan masih belum banyak dikaji dalam disiplin ilmu sosial; seolah persoalan kebencaan dipandang sebatas fenomena alam dan tidak berkaitan dengan dinamika sosial; seolah korban kebencanaan hanya perlu dipulihkan kembali sementara proses pemulihan dan konsekuensinya luput dicermati. Peristiwa Tsunami Aceh pada tahun 2004, dengan besarnya jumlah korban dan kehancuran yang diakibatkannya, mendorong para pengkaji sosial untuk semakin memerhatikan persoalan kebencanaan lebih serius. Tulisan ini akan mengkaji proses intervensi berbagai kalangan terhadap korban bencana. Diskursus kebencanaan memang dimulai dari disiplin ilmu alam yang memunculkan pendekatan teknikalisasi intervensi. Namun, ilmu sosial dapat berperan menambah cara pandang dan menguatkan pemahaman tentang berbagai risiko dan konsekuensi sosial, yang luput dari perhatian pendekatan-pendekatan teknikalisasi.Keywords: pengurangan risiko bencana, intervensi sosial, Tsunami Aceh.

Abstract

The title of this research is “Teamwork of Development Partnership (Case Study Development Partnership Teamwork of Poverty in Bogor)”. This research aims to describe the teamwork process conducted by the Working Group on Development Partnership include communication, compromise, cooperation, coordination, and consummation. Teamwork that made the Working Group in an effort to reduce poverty in Bogor. Researcher used a qualitative research approach with case study method, while the instruments used in data collection is interview, observation guidelines, and guidance documentation. The technique used an in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and literature study. Informants in this research is 11 people, they are 4 persons from SKPD, 2 persons from BUMD, 2 persons from BUMN, and 3 persons from private sector. The results of this research indicate that good teamwork is determined by communication, compromise, cooperation, coordination, and consummation. Communications flow into upward, downward, and horizontal, both formally and informally, through the medium of verbal and non-verbal communication. Compromises is used to resolve the differences that determined the best alternative. Cooperation as a form of cooperation through the participation of members in carrying out its duties and responsibilities. Coordination is used to integrate the goals and activities of the Working Group in order to direct, there is no overlap. Then, the consummation is used through improvements in poverty reduction activities in Bogor. Thus, the researchers suggest a training program “Team Building Training to Improve the Quality of Teamwork”. The purpose of this training is to raise awareness of Pokja members so that they understand the importance of teamwork that goes with effective and implement a strategy or technique in achieving teamwork, so that the Pokja was able to develop and implement effective teamwork in tackling poverty.Keywords: Human Service Organization, Teamwork, Komunikasi dan Kooperasi

Abstract

Convert to Islam (Mu’alaf) is a term used in the Qur’an to refer to a group of people who ‘softened his heart’, can also be viewed from the perspective of the social sciences, particularly the disciplines of social work. Many disadvantaged mu’alaf phenomenon turned out to be conceptually included in the category of minorities in the social work perspective. They require attention like the social welfare services (PPKS) to another. In other words mu’alaf, including PPKS category that had been forgotten. Not coincidentally, it turned out in the language of religion mu’alaf also included in the category mustahik, a group of people who are eligible to receive zakat, meaning that groups of people who need special attention. Abstract

Teenagers are in the growing age that moves dynamically to seek and establish identity / identities. If this phase is one in the care of the risk, it would be borne by the teens themselves, families, communities and countries.The risks occurring in any ages of teen parenting among others is one of the associations having an impact on early marriage, deviant behavior and drop-out. To reduce the risks that occur in adolescents, it needs management in teen parenting, given the importance of the role of youth as the regeneration of the family and the nation are very high asset value, and the management of parenting adolescents needs to be built with a variety of strategies.Keywords: Manajemen, Parenting, Remaja dan Geografi Tubuh.

Abstract

The Qur’an uses some terms that meaningful social welfare. Among the terms that the coverage meaning breadth and depth, and describes the concept of social welfare is fundamentally, the term, al-Falah which giving to al-muflihûn, prosperous society on the basis of faith and piety, the ultimate goal of human life in this world. There are five pillars of social welfare includes health, education, housing, and social security. One of very important aspect of welfare problems studied social work is poverty. The results of the study authors point out that Al-Qur`an mentions the term poor in the form 11 times and call it in the plural, masâkîn, as many as 12 times. So, overall Al-Qur`an mentions the term poor as much as 23 times. Al-dha’îf causes of poverty, weak spirit, reason and science weak, physically weak, and the weak skills of Al-khawf, i.e not dare to take the risk of failure, loss, or a loss of capital. Al-Kaslan, namely the state of one’s soul is overwhelmed by laziness Al-grabber, the state of a person who is dominated by the miserly nature. This poverty of cause of other social welfare issues such trafficking. Abstract

The main problem drug users with psychiatric disorders is the difficulty of communicating the reason they use drugs and express their feelings on the condition of the Counselor or Social Worker (Therapist). The existence of the program of art therapy for patients with drug with psychiatric disorders (dual diagnosis) is part of psychotherapy as an adjunct therapy in the form of art to channel emotions, express their feelings when communicate verbally is difficult, and to express themselves freely in order to improve their condition in the direction better in recovering. In an effort to redress for victims of drug abuse, especially for people with dual diagnosis due to drug addiction, the Drug Dependency Hospital (RSKO) is a reference center for rehabilitation using the Therapeutic Community (TC) based hospitals that have programs therapies to restore health and capabilities in the field of art, one through the art therapy program.Keywords: Evaluasi Program, Art Therapy, Dual Diagnosis (NAPZA-Skizofrenia), dan Pekerja Sosial Medis/Klinis.

Abstract

It is interesting to look at the Head of Criminal Investigation statement of the Indonesian National Police Commissioner General Ito Sumardi (Kompas, 22/9/2010), which warns that the crime of terrorism is closely related to ideology. Sociologist Van Dijk (1993) states that ideology is basically a mental system that is exchanged, represented both in the level of discourse and action to achieve certain goals or desires in a groups (defi ned as the system of mental representations and processes of group members). Why (technology) Internet so powerful in spreading the message of terrorism? First, the interaction happens on internet can be done anywhere and anytime. Second, Internet users in Indonesia, which is increasingly growing in number, allows access to the site or content to be easily obtained terrorism. Third, Internet medium provides access not only cheap but free. Fourth, the Internet allows anyone to construct new identity. In a fact proves that the identities of individuals in cyber world are individuals who have two possibilities, it could be the same or different identities as in the real world. Furthermore, the individual does not only have one identity per se on the internet, they could have multiple identities as well as different characteristics from each other. In according to Gilmore (1996), those on the Internet nobody knows you at all, not either knows your race or your sex. This is the opportunities that could be used by the perpetrators of terrorism to spread the ideology of terrorism and violence in the name of religion without worried their identity will be revealed. Abstract

One of the important things in the institution of zakah is a method of fundraising, because raising money is the backbone of an organization. This research found that fundraising method of BAZDA Sukabumi to motivate donors through their programs in collecting zakah, donation, and charity from 2010 to 2011 undoubtedly increased the number of zakah, donation, and  charity to 20%,  which means that BAZDA Sukabumi has at least managed some potential zakat funds, donations, and charity in their own hometown.
