Abstract

ABSTRAKMedia pembelajaran merupakan salah satu komponen proses pembelajaran yang memiliki peran penting dalam mencapai hasil belajar. Media pembelajaran telah banyak dikembangkan baik dalam berbagai bentuk diantaranya pocket book. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pocket book terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada konsep protista kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019 sampai dengan bulan November 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Kota Tasikmalaya sebanyak 7 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan peserta didik kelas X MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol, yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari satu instrumen yang sudah tervalidasi yaitu tes hasil belajar berupa soal pilihan majemuk sebanyak 33 soal. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung lebih besar dari nilai ttabel (5.50 > 1.96). Selain itu, N-gain hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (0.77 > 0.66). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media pocket book terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada konsep protista di kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Kota Tasikmalaya tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi terhadap perkembangan media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Kata kunci: hasil belajar; Protista; pocket book ABSTRACTThe effect of pocket book media on students' learning outcomes on the concept of Protist. Learning media is one component of the learning process that has an important role in achieving learning outcomes. Learning media has been developed in various forms, including pocket books. This study aims to determine the effect of pocket book media on student learning outcomes on the concept of protist class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Tasikmalaya City. This research was conducted from August 2019 to November 2019. The research method used was true experimental. The population in this study was the entire class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Tasikmalaya as many as 7 classes. The sample in this study was class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and students in class X MIPA 3 as the control class, which were taken using cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used consisted of one instrument that had been validated, namely the learning outcome test in the form of 33 multiple-choice questions. The data processing and analysis technique used is the t test. The results of data analysis showed that the tcount value was greater than the ttable value (5.50 > 1.96). In addition, the N-gain of experimental class learning outcomes is greater than that of the control class (0.77 > 0.66). So it can be concluded that there is an effect of pocket book media on student learning outcomes on the concept of protists in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 6 Tasikmalaya City in the 2019 academic year 2019/2020.  Keywords: learning outcomes; Protists; pocket book

Abstract

ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 memberi dampak pada semua bidang termasuk dunia pendidikan. Seorang pendidik diharuskan  memanfaatkan berbagai media pembelajaran daring untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran jarak jauh pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Elektronik-Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berbasis Quick Response Code (E-LKPD_QRC) dengan model Eksperiential Jelajah Alam Sekitar (EJAS) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep materi Plantae di era Pandemi Covid-19. Pemahaman konsep dalam penelitian mengacu pada 7 indikator: (1) menafsirkan (intepreting); memberikan contoh (exemplifying); (3) mengklasifikasikan (classifying); (4) meringkas (summarizing); (5) menyimpulkan (inferring); (6) membandingkan (comparing); (7) menjelaskan (explaining).  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling sebanyak 108 peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMAN 1 Sirampog Kabupaten Brebes. Hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis secara deskriptrif kuantitatif menggunakan ketuntasan KKM, Uji Wilcoxon, dan Uji N- gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan KKM peserta didik tinggi, terdapat perbedaan rata-rata sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran Plantae menggunakan E-LKPD_QRC dengan model EJAS dari hasil Uji Wilcoxon dan N gain kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat dikatakan bahwa E-LKPD_QRC dengan model EJAS efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi Plantae Kata kunci: Covid-19; Plantae; media pembelajaran daring  ABSTRACTEfectiveness of E-LKPD based Quick  Response  Code with the experiential  model of exploring around nature in the  era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the world of education. An educator is required to use various online learning media to carry out distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of E-LKPD_QRC with the EJAS model to improve understanding of Plantae material concepts in the Covid-19 pandemic era. Understanding the concept in this study refers to 7 indicators including (1)  interpreting;  exemplifying; (3) classifying); (4) summarizing; (5) inferring ; (6) comparing; (7) xplaining. This type of research is a quantitative pre-experimental study with a one group pretest posttest design. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 108 students of grade X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sirampog, Brebes Regency. Data were collected through tests, in the form of pretest and posttest results which were analyzed descriptively quantitatively using minimum completeness criteria, Wilcoxon test, and N gain test. The results showed the minimum completeness criteria of students was high, there was a difference in average before and after learning plantae using E-LKPD_QRC with  EJAS model from the Wilcoxon test results, and N gain was in the medium category. Based on this study, it was known that E-LKPD_QRC with  EJAS model is effective for improving students' understanding of concepts in Plantae material. Keywords: Covid-19; Plantae; online learning media

Abstract

ABSTRAKHasil belajar dicapai dengan baik ketika proses pembelajaran ditunjang oleh aspek penting seperti kecerdasan naturalis dan kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan naturalis dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan populasi seluruh kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri Tasikmalaya sejumlah 6 kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 309 orang. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling berjumlah 68 orang. Instrumen menggunakan angket untuk kecerdasan naturalis dan kecerdasan emosional. Data hasil belajar diambil dari skor PAS pada mata pelajaran biologi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dan linearitas sebagai uji prasyarat analisis, dan uji regresi korelasi multivariat untuk uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh adanya korelasi yang kuat antara kecerdasan naturalis dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,601. Oleh karena itu, diketahui bahwa kecerdasan naturalis dan kecerdasan emosional menjadi bagian penting untuk dilatihkan pada setiap proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar; kecerdasan emosional; kecerdasan naturalis  ABSTRACTCorrelation between naturalist intelligence and emotinal intelligence on student learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are achieved when the learning process is supported by important aspects such as naturalist intelligence and emotional intelligence. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between naturalist intelligence and emotional intelligence to the results of students' biological learning.  This research used correlation method with the population of the entire class XI MIPA Tasikmalaya State High School a number of 6 classes with a total of 309 students. The samples were selected by purposive sampling techniques numbering 68 people. The instruments used are questionnaires for naturalist intelligence and emotional intelligence. While the data of learning results are taken from PAS scores in biology subjects. Data analysis techniques use normality and linearity tests as prerequisite analysis tests, and multivariate correlation regression tests for hypothesis tests. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing it was known that there is a strong correlation between naturalist intelligence and emotional intelligence to the results of student biology study with a correlation coefficient value (R) of 0.601. Therefore naturalist intelligence and emotional intelligence become an important part to be trained in every learning process. Keywords : emotional intelligence; learning outcomes; naturalist intelligence

Abstract

ABSTRAKPermasalahan pembelajaran jarak jauh SMA N 1 Mejobo Kudus di masa pandemi yaitu kerja sama dalam kelompok belajar rendah, hasil belajar rendah, manajemen kelas dan partisipasi  orang tua dalam pembelajaran kurang optimal. Kondisi ini berdampak pada capaian hasil belajar dan sikap perilaku belajar peserta didik setelah pembelajaran.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan well being peserta didik melibatkan orang tua dan masyarakat di masa pandemi. Penelitian bersifat kualitatif  deskriptif di kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Mejobo dengan pengumpulan, reduksi, dan penyajian data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Pembelajaran diferensiasi kolaboratif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar meliputi peningkatan aktivitas pembelajaran (90%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai keaktifan peserta didik pada mata pelajaran kimia adalah 82 sedangkan untuk mata pelajaran geografi sebesar 85. Nilai proyek mata pelajaran kimia 84 dan mata pelajaran geografi 83.  Kehadiran orang tua dalam memotivasi belajar peserta didik termasuk kategori sedang (43%) dan sangat tinggi (78%). Pembelajaran sangat menyenangkan (95%) dan melatih mandiri untuk tidak bergantung pada orang lain (95%). Sikap well being peserta didik terendah pada pemahaman kekuatan dan kelemahan diri (74%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, penelitian lanjutan terkait efektivitas pembelajaran diferensiasi bagi peserta didik yang memiliki hambatan fisik dan non fisik perlu dilakukan.  Kata kunci: diferensiasi; kolaboratif; well being AbstractApplication of collaborative differentiation learning by involving parents to create students well being during pandemic. The problems of online learning at SMA N 1 Mejobo Kudus during pandemic were the lack of collaboration in study groups, learning outcomes, class management, and lack of parent's participation. This condition has an impact on the achievement of learning outcomes and attitudes of student's learning behaviour after learning. The purpose of the research is to analize the application of collaborative differentiation learning to improve the student's well-being with parents and community participations during the pandemic. This is a descriptive qualitative research in XI MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Mejobo with data collection, reduction, and presentation through interviews and observations. Collaborative differentiation learning can improve learning outcomes including the improvement of learning activities (90%). The average value of student activity in chemistry is 82 while in geography is 85. The chemistry project score is 84 and geography is 83. The presence of parents in motivate the learning activities are is in moderate (43%) and very high category (78%). Learning is very fun (95%) and self-training not depend on others (95%). The lowest well-being attitude is in understanding the student's stregths and weaknesses (74%) Research on the effectiveness of differentiation learning for students who have physical and non-physical barriers needs to be done.Keywords: collaborative; differentiation; well being

Abstract

ABSTRAKStaphylococcus aureus adalah bakteri Gram positif yang merupakan  patogen penyebab peningkatan jumlah penyakit dan kematian setiap tahun. Bakteri ini berkolonisasi di hidung dan kulit manusia sehingga menyebabkan berbagai penyakit. Resistensi bakteri patogen terhadap antibiotik merupakan satu permasalahan besar yang membutuhkan strategi khusus dalam penanganannya. Salah satunya dengan penggunaan medan listrik AC digital sebagai pengendali pertumbuhan bakteri patogen S. aureus dan E. coli. Penelitian merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan biakan bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli yang masing-masing dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok yaitu K0, K1, K2 dan K3 berdasarkan variasi kuat medan listrik AC yaitu 200 V/m, 400 V/m dan 600 V/m dengan waktu paparan 5 menit. Data diambil berupa jumlah koloni bakteri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh kuat medan listrik terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli. Semakin besar kuat medan magnet, maka pertumbuhan kedua bakteri semakin terhambat ditandai dengan kecilnya jumlah koloni yang hidup. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai p < 0,001 dengan uji ANOVA pada E. coli dan p < 0,001 menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis pada S. aureus. Kata Kunci: Escherichia coli; jumlah koloni; medan listrik AC; Staphylococcus                        aureus  ABSTRACTStrength of AC electricity for inhibiting of  Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli colony growth. Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive bacteria as human pathogen, causing an increase in the number of diseases and deaths every year. The bacteria growing in the nose and skin of humans and can cause some illnesses. Resistance of pathogenic bacteria to antibiotics is one of the biggest problems and the typhical strategies are necessary, such as the use of AC electricity to inhibit the growth of S. aureus and E. coli. This research was an experimental study with S. aureus and E. coli bacteria is divided into 4 groups, each, there are K0, K1, K2 and K3 based on variations in the AC electric field, 200 V/m, 400 V/m and 600 V/m for 5 minutes. The study showed that there is effect of AC electricity to S. aureus and E. coli growth. The stronger AC electricity, the growth of those two bacteria is more inhibited. It is marked with smaller viable colony. Statistical test results obtained p value < 0.001 with ANOVA test on Escherichia coli and p < 0.001 using Kruskal-Wallis test on Staphylococcus aureus. Keywords : AC electricity; colony number; Escherichia coli; Staphylococcus aureus

Abstract

ABSTRAKPropionibacterium acnes merupakan penyebab utama terjadinya acne vulgaris. Pengobatan tanda, gejala, dan kekambuhan acne vulgaris cukup sulit dikarenakan P. acnes yang resisten dengan antibakteri seperti golongan linkosamida. Kunyit (Curcuma longa L.) mempunyai senyawa aktif kurkumin yang merupakan polifenol alami dengan sifat antibakteri terhadap P. acnes. Bakteri endofit yang diisolasi dari suatu tanaman dapat menghasilkan metabolit sekunder yang sama dengan tanaman aslinya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri metabolit sekunder endofit kunyit terhadap P. acnes. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif yaitu isolat bakteri endofit kunyit diujikan dengan metode difusi cakram terhadap P. acnes. Isolat yang paling berpotensi memiliki aktivitas antibakteri diidentifikasi berdasarkan karakterisasi morfologi koloni, morfologi sel, biokimia dan dilakukan uji senyawa metabolit sekunder dengan menggunakan metode Ciulei. Sebanyak 12 dari 17 isolat memiliki aktivitas terhadap P. acnes dengan diameter zona hambat terbedar yaitu 21,2 mm dengan kode isolat H5. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa H5 memiliki kemiripan dengan genus Bacillus. Hasil uji metabolit menunjukkan bahwa senyawa antibakteri yang dihasilkan isolat H5 yaitu saponin, terpenoid dan flavanoid. Bakteri endofit tanaman kunyit memiliki potensi sebagai antibakteri terhadap bakteri P. acnes. Kata kunci: antibakteri; bakteri endofit; Curcuma longa L.; Propionibacterium acnes.  ABSTRACTAntibacterial activity of secondary metabolites of endophytic bacterial isolated from tumeric (Curcuma longa L.) against Propionibacterium acnes. Propionibacterium acnes is the main cause of acne vulgaris. Treatment to control the signs, symptoms, and recurrence of acne vulgaris is not easy due to its resistance to antibacterials such as linkosamide group. Turmeric (C. longa L.) has an active compound, curcumin, the main natural polyphenol which has antibacterial properties against P. acnes. Endophytic bacteria isolated from plant can produce same secondary metabolites with the host plant. The study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of turmeric bacterial endophytes secondary metabolites against P. acnes. The research was descriptive research where endophytic bacterial isolates of turmeric were tested by disk diffusion method against P. acnes. The most potential isolates with antibacterial activity was identified based on the characterization of colony morphology, cell morphology, biochemical tests and a secondary metabolic compound test used Ciulei method. A total of 12 from 17 isolates had activity against P. acnes with the biggest inhibition zone is 21.2 mm with code H5. The identification results showed that H5 had similarities with the genus Bacillus. Metabolite test showed that the antibacterial compounds produced by H5 were saponins, terpenoids and flavonoids. The endophytic bacteria of turmeric plant has potential as an antibacterial against P. acnes. Keywords: antibacterial; endophytic bacteria; Curcuma longa L.;  P. acnes.

Abstract

Medicinal plants are used for various kinds of health care, one of which is to treat problems in the digestive system. This research aimed to analyze the utilization of family medicinal plants (TOGA) by the ethnic of Dayak Muara in Tanap village in handling digestive system disorders. This study was conducted by survey method with a purposive sampling technique. This research was initiated by conducting interviews with the people of Tanap village who came from the Dayak Muara, then continued with identifying the medicinal plants mentioned. The data obtained were then analyzed with an ethnobotanical index in the form of Use Value (UV), Informant Consensus Factor (ICF), and Fidelity Level (FL). The Dayak Muara ethnic in Tanap Village uses 22 species of TOGA to handle digestive system disorders. The highest families used were Zingiberaceae and Amaryllidaceae. The dominant plant parts used, processing method, administration method, and remedies form for the handling of digestive system disorders are leaves (36%), boiled processing (43%), drinking (44%), and single herb form (67%). Plants with high use value (UV=1) are jambu biji (Psidium guajava) and kunyit (Curcuma longa). The digestive system disorder categories with the highest ICF included sprue (1), nausea and vomiting (0.98), intestinal worms, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and constipation (0.97). Plant that had the highest FL value (100%) included cocor bebek (Bryophyllum pinnatum), patah tulang (Euphorbia tirucalli), and putri malu (Mimosa pudica) for the treatment of toothache. Entawak (Artocarpus anisophyllus) for stomachache, pinang (Areca catechu) for constipation, lidah buaya (Aloe vera) for hemorrhoids, and sawo (Manilkara zapota) for stomachache.

Abstract

The leaves of the A. marina have the potential to be developed into functional foods such as tea. It contains alkaloids, saponins, tannins, phenolics, flavonoids, triterpenoids and glycosides, with antioxidants, antimicrobials, antifungals and antibiotics potential. This study want to examine the effect of oven duration and stewing duration on the stewing quality of A. marina leaves and to determine the optimum oven duration and stewing duration using analysis of Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The lower limit of the oven time used is 2 hours and the upper limit is 6 hours, while the lower limit for stewing is 5 minutes and the upper limit is 15 minutes. Analysis of the data carried out is a test for tannin levels, antioxidant activity test and hedonic test. Data of tannins and antioxidant activity processed  using Software Design Expert 11. The progam suggests formulate with oven duration is 4 hours and stewing duration is10 inutes. The result of the tannin test are prdictd to produce 2.8676% and antioxidant activity 1.282 ppm. The desirability value is 0.961. that means the resulting formula is matchs.

Ethanol extract of torch ginger’s flower (Etlingera elatior) is rich in active compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins, steroids. Flavonoids are bioactive compounds that serve as antioxidants and antibacterials. This study aims to find the antibacterial activity of solid soap with torch ginger’s flower extract against S. aureus and P. aeruginosa. This study includes the preparation of simplicia, extracts, moisture content, total ash levels, insoluble acid ash levels, water soluble extract levels. The first evaluation includes organoleptic test, pH, irritation, and stability. The formulation of the tested soap preparations was 5%, 7.5%, 10%. The data analysis was performed with ANOVA. The results of this study revealed that its ethanolic extract had a moderate category of bacterial resistance against S.aureus where in FI (5%) has a clear zone with 7 mm in diameter, FII (7.5%) 8.3 mm and FIII (10%) 10.4 mm.Furthermore,for P.aeruginosa, it has a moderate clear zone with diameter in FI (5%) is 8.86 mm, FII (7.5%) is 9.73 mm, and FIII is 10.6 mm. Torch ginger’s flower ethanolic extract had anantibacterial activity against S.aureus and P.aeruginosa with the widestclear zone is in the FIII (10%, v/v) in the number of 10.4 mm against S.aureus and 10.6 mm against P.aeruginosa with moderate resistance category.

Abstract

The use of media through the Android application is still limited, even though it is needed to foster interest in learning after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research focused on increasing learning interest through the application of the Android-based Word Square learning media. This experimental research used a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class IX MTs Guppi Samata, which consisted of 2 classes. The saturated sampling method was used in the sampling procedure with six samples taken from the experimental class IX-A and six samples taken from the control class IX-B. The research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of 30 items. The data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Students' learning interests differed depending on whether or not they used the Android-based Word Square learning media (p = 0.046, p 0.05). The results showed the differences in students' interest in learning with and without using the media of Word Square learning media based on android human reproductive system material for class IX MTs Guppi Samata (p = 0.046, p < 0.05). The average interest in learning among students through the media was 114.83. The value was higher than those without using the media (106.50). This proves that Word Square learning resources based on Android can increase students' learning interests. The findings of this study can be used to inform teachers' decisions about how to use engaging learning technologies and a variety of media to enhance the quality of their instruction.
