Abstract

The Results of the Implementation of the Export Coaching Program by the Indonesian Export Education and Training Center (PPEI) in 2018 in Tangerang, Bandung and Surabaya, discussed about 75 participants, of which only 32 were approved as new exporters. Although this amount is 100% of the target set, but seen from the overall participants, the achievement was only 43%. This result is not commensurate with aspects of time, effort and cost. Therefore, through this research we want to know what factors must be questioned so that this program is more effective. The 3 variables translated were trainer's competence, participant motivation and curriculum. Data collection was carried out through literature study, questionnaire collection and interviews. Data analysis uses multiple regression methods, which produce facts, and have a significant effect, with the curriculum as the variable with the strongest influence. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the curriculum be more complete, in addition to increasing the competency of trainers and participant motivation

Abstract

It has been observed that Nigeria?s National flag, coat of arms, anthem, Pledge and motto: Peace and Unity, Strength and Progress has not ignited much love of her citizen for the unity of Nigeria and cohesion of nationalism required to ward off antics of some developed countries instigating discordance in the developing countries to benefit their business interest. Nigeria has the largest population of any African country and as such, anything which may threaten its unity must be a concern to any discern mind of any black race. To be able to come up with what could serve as catalyst of unity, this paper considered the struggle for independence which made Nigerian to see themselves not as Hausas, Igbos, or Yorubas, but as Nigerians in a common struggle against their colonial rulers and such unity the country had during the election that would have made Chief M.K.O. Abiola the president of Nigeria, but truncated. It was discovered that love for the country and the person was the key in the observed unity. Therefore, this paper looked at what could be used as stimulant of love for the unity of Nigeria since, the three main environmental regions of coastal wetland in the East, tropical forests in the West and savanna in the North along with National Youth Service Corps and Unity Schools established to be factors of unity have also failed to stem up nationalism in Nigerians.

Abstract

After the political transition of Myanmar in 2011, China?s engagement strategy toward Myanmar has led the changes from the state-to-state relations into the multi-layered relations. At the same time, Myanmar?s foreign policy has also challenged Beijing?s economic and political interests in Myanmar in terms of the Myit-Sone Dam suspension by Myanmar?s first reform government. Later, the Aung San Suu Kyi?s government looks more closely with the PRC under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. In this sense, it could be interesting to find Myanmar?s policy on China?s engagement and China?s responses to Myanmar?s development. Moreover, Myanmar has agreed to the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC) which is a strategically important economic corridor under the umbrella of China?s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Among various China?s BRI projects in Myanmar, every case has a different characteristic, pattern, and situation, in terms of the different fundamental interaction relations among the state, market, and society. It means that China?s interest in Myanmar is a complicated and complex situation during Myanmar?s new political order. In this sense, the China-Myanmar bilateral relations have the multidimensional factors and it was shaped by the diverse state-holders? interaction. Therefore, this paper will seek the China-Myanmar bilateral relations from the political economy perspective. At last, this paper will argue that the changing relations among state-market-society in Myanmar will play a crucial role in China-Myanmar bilateral relations by using the two-level game theory.

Abstract

This study will analyze the readiness of the Yogyakarta City Government in Jogja Smart Service services. This study will use the E-Readiness approach to measure government preparedness. The four indicators of the E-Readiness model are Policy, infrastructure, financial resources, and human resources. This research uses a qualitative approach. The findings show the Yogyakarta City Information and Bath Communication Office is ready in the implementation process in developing the concept of the smart city through the Jogja Smart service application. Policy readiness can be seen from the availability of the legal basis stated in Yogyakarta Mayor Regulation No. 15 of 2015 concerning e-Government and the decision of the mayor of Yogyakarta number 373 regarding the application of Jogja smart services related to the position, duties, and functions of technical managers. From the aspect of the development of Jogja Smart Service application infrastructure, it is ready to implement the application of Jogja smart service. It is intended that the infrastructure has been available from previous years. Overall readiness of musty budget resources can be seen from a very significant budget allocation from year to year where the application of these funds comes from the budget, and there is no allocation of funds from the private sector. If viewed from the aspect of internal human resources, there is still a lack of human resources in the field of programmers so that the government cooperates with programmers in developing Jogja Smart Service applications.
