Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Bioedutainment strategy with Biofun Card's Support on learning outcomes and caring attitude for invertebrate diversity. This research is a Quasi-Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study is all students of class X MIPA of Sint Louis Semarang High School in academic year 2017/2018 which is consisting of two classes. The sample is class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class X MIPA 2 as the control class which is determined by the saturated sample technique. The results show that the experimental class student learning outcomes are better than the control class. The experimental class has an average learning outcome of 84.37 with classical completeness of ≥ 85% which reached 93.10%, while the control class is 82.76%. The results of the t-test show tcount 0,000 <0.05,. This indicates that there are significant differences between the control and the experimental classes. N-Gain for the experimental class is ≥ 0.3 with an average of 0.70, while the control class is 0.51. The effectiveness level of the application of Bioedutainment strategy with Biofun Card's support shows students' caring scores of 82.76% (very caring). Students give positive responses to the application of Bioedutainment strategy with Biofun Card's support with an average of 88.95%. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that learning uses the Bioedutainment strategy with Biofun Card's support in invertebrate material to be effective in improving learning outcomes and caring for invertebrate diversity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the application of metacognition strategy by snowball throwing-assisted toward students' metacognitive ability and learning outcomes in reproductive system material. The study design uses Pre-experimental design with a one-shot case study pattern applied to class XI MIPA 4 and XI MIPA 7 of Academic Year 2017/2018. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Student learning outcomes data are analyzed using classical completeness test. Data on the ability of metacognition is analyzed using a scaled category of metacognition abilities. This study is effective if it is able to reach indicators of effectiveness, namely the average final grade of metacognition ability reaches ≥ 68 with the ok-super scale, and classical completeness of learning outcomes reaches ≥ 85%. Data on metacognition ability is obtained from the value of the monitoring sheet and the value of student learning journals. The metacognitive abilities of the two classes can reach an average final score of 82.45, indicating that students already have awareness in carrying out thinking processes which include the optimal input-elaboration-output stage. Student learning outcomes data obtained from the LDS value, the value of the snowball throwing paper and the posttest value. The learning outcomes of both classes were able to achieve classical completeness on average by 92.5%. The conclusion of this study is the effective snowball throwing-assisted metacognition strategy applied to reproductive system material in SMA N 1 Jakenan.

Abstract

Learning activities implemented in XI MIPA Class of MAN 1 Semarang tend to be Teacher Centered Learning, so students were passive during the learning process, it causes the achievement of student learning outcomes is not optimal and almost all students seem to find difficulties to collaboration with each other during the learning process. This research aims to determine the effect of the application of collaborative learning models of learning cell techniques to the learning outcomes and the students’ collaboration character on cell material. This research was conducted in MAN 1 Semarang, in the Odd Semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research is a quasi experimental research design, with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population used in this research were all students of XI MIPA Class in Odd Semester MAN 1 Semarang in Academic Year 2019/2020 which consisting of 6 classes. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling, so Class XI MIPA 6 was choosen as a control class and Class XI MIPA 4 as an experimental class. Data collection was done by documentation, test, questionnaire, and observation methods. The results of the data analysis showed the t test toward the learning outcomes (posttest scores) obtained that Sig. = 0,008. Because, Sig. (2-tailed) <0,05 then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there were significant differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. The percentage of classical completeness of the experimental class> 80% was 83,3%, while the control class <80% was 61,1%. Based on the results of the analysis of student collaboration character questionnaire it is known that the character of student collaboration in the experimental class> 80% with good and very good criteria reaching 91,7%. Based on this description, it was concluded that the application of collaborative learning models of learning cell techniques has a positive effect on learning outcomes and the character of student collaboration.

Abstract

Education is now faced with the demands of the 21st century who expect students to have critical thinking, able to solve problems, creative, communicate and collaborate well. The study aims to determine the enforceability of the learning process, develop cognitive skills and attitudes of health care students. The study was conducted in SMA N 1 class X Muntilan academic year 2019 / 2020. Design research was Quasi-Experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group. The population in the study were all students of class X SMA N 1 Muntilan as much as 7 classes. The samples were determined using purposive sampling technique to obtain class X 6 and X MIPA MIPA 3. The techniques used for data collection are observation, testing, and questionnaires while the data collection instruments namely observation sheets, about the test and questionnaire sheet. Learning to use scientific issues done well, can be seen on the average results of observations for the fourth meeting of the learning that is equal to 93.3% (excellent). Cognitive learning outcomes obtained based on the value of pretest and posttest 20 multiple choice questions and obtained N-gain experiment grade of 0.56> 0.32 grade control. In the analysis of indicators of the result is that the indicator C1, C3, C4 and C6 indicate a difference in the average yield posttest values between the experimental and control classes. Classical completeness experimental class> which controls 97.1%> 71.4%. Based on data from the student health care attitudes questionnaire obtained N-gain of 0.172 (low category) for the control and 0,361 class (medium category) for the experimental class.
