Abstract

  Abstract This study aimed to develop a valid Environmental Pollution comics used as a student learning source of class VII SMP. This is a research and development study. The trial use of the product using a pretest-posttest design is applied to the class VII-6 SMPN1 Wonopringgo. Samples were taken by a random sampling technique. The results obtained comics Environmental Pollution products that is developed and validated by an media and materials expert with very valid criteria (92.5% and 91.6%), validation of the product on the student as user comics obtain very valid criteria with the results a valid media (85.5%) and a very valid material (90%). Improved learning outcomes calculated using the N-Gain test with an average value of 0.62 gain in the category medium. Gain values ​​were showed no significant difference between the study results before and after learning activities. Increased environmental awareness is calculated using character N-Gain test average value gain of 0.41 in the category medium. Gain values ​​were showed no significant difference in the character of the neighborhood before the matter after learning activities. The results of the classical calculation of each indicator show the same criteria that is good, but there is an increase in the percentage of after use comics.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk komik yang valid digunakan sebagai sumber belajar materi pencemaran lingkungan, menguji efektivitas komik terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, serta menganalisis efektifitas komik terhadap pengembangan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian Research and Development. Uji coba dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Wonopringgo pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Uji coba produk menggunakan 10 siswa kelas VIII-2 SMPN 1 Wonopringgo dengan teknik penyampelan purposive sampling. Uji coba pemakaian menggunakan siswa kelas VII-6 desain pretest-postest gorupmenggunakan teknik penyampelan random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produk yang dikembangkan dari segi media dan segi materi mendapatkan penilaian sangat valid (92,5% dan 91,6%). Uji coba produk mendapatkan penilaian kelayakan media valid (85,5%) dan kelayakan materi sangat valid (90%). Peningkatan hasil belajar dihitung menggunakan uji  N-Gain dengan nilai rata-rata gain 0,62 masuk kriteria sedang. Kriteria gain sedang menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mengalami perubahan ke arah positif. Peningkatan karakter peduli lingkungan dihitung menggunakan uji N-Gain dengan nilai rata-rata gain 0,41 masuk kriteria sedang. Kriteria gain sedang menunjukkan bahwa karakter peduli lingkungan siswa mengalami perubahan ke arah positif. Penghitungan klasikal karakter peduli lingkungan tiap indikator sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran menunjukkan hasil yang sama yaitu kriteria baik, namun terdapat peningkatan persentase 2-8% setelah kegiatan pembelajaran dibandingkan sebelum pembelajaran menggunakan komik. Komik pencemaran lingkungan yang dikembangkan sudah mendapatkan penilaian sangat valid oleh ahli media dan materi namun nilai gain rata-rata yang masuk kriteria sedang menunjukkan komik belum cukup efektif memberikan perubahan hasil belajar dan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa kelas VII pada materi pencemaran lingkungan..

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran di SMA 1 Lasem masih berpusat pada guru (Teacher Centered Learning). Permasalahan pembelajaran ini dapat diatasi dengan menerapkan kegiatan laboratorium berbasis inkuiri. Melalui kegiatan laboratorium, siswa dapat mengamati fenomena, merumuskan masalah, membuat hipotesis, menguji hipotesis dengan melakukan percobaan, menganalisis data, dan membuat kesimpulan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre Eksperimen dengan desain One Shot Case Study . Penelitian menggunakan sampel 64 siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Lasem. Data pada penelitian ini meliputi data aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, tanggapan siswa dan guru. Data aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif, sedangkan data tanggapan guru dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lebih dari 75% siswa sangat aktif sebesar 89,84%. T erdapat 89,06% siswa mencapai ketuntasan belajar , dan lebih dari 75% siswa memberikan tanggapan yang sangat baik terhadap pembelajaran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan laboratorium berbasis inkuiri efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi sistem pernapasan manusia di SMA N 1 Lasem Learning process in SMA N 1 Lasem still centre on teacher (Teacher Centered Learning). This problem could be minimalized by implementing of laboratory acivities based on inquiry. Through the activities, students could explore the phenomenons, formulate problems, propose hypotheses, design and do the testing hypotheses ways, organize and analize the data and also make the conclusion. This research was Pre experimental with One Shot Case Study design. The research sample consist of 64 students of SMA N 1 Lasem on XI grade student. The data included student activities, final grade of students, student and teacher responses. Activities, final grade and student responses analized using quantitative descriptive analysis, but teacher responses analized using descriptive analysis.The result of research showed that >75% students weere very active at the level of 89,84%. Classically,  student completeness level was very good at the level of 89,06% and >75% student and teacher responses were very good during the learning. It could be concluded that laboratory activities based on inquiry was effective to be applied for human respiratory system course in SMA N 1 Lasem.plan

Abstract

Tapioca liquid waste was discharge into the river without prior treatment caused pollution. Meanwhile polluted environment can be used as a learning resource. Learning resources in Jakenan senior high school only worksheet and material book that not all students have them, made teacher centered learning impact. The research aim to determine the eligibility of modules tapioca liquid waste as learning resources on subchapter waste and to determine modules application on learning outcome. The research design applied in this research is a Research and Development (R&D). The research has been conducted in first semester 2013/2014 in Jakenan senior high school. The subject of research was the students. The Product usage test samples taken by convenience sampling method. The expert judgment result of modules was developed  reached 91 %, student responses reached 94 %, teacher responded that the modules very feasible to used as learning resources and all students (100%) has reached the minimum mastery criteria set (72). Based on the results of the research modules eligible as learning resources.Limbah cair tapioka yang dialirkan ke sungai tanpa pengolahan terlebih dahulu mengakibatkan pencemaran. Lingkungan yang tercemar dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar. Sumber belajar di SMA N 1 Jakenan hanya berupa LKS dan buku paket yang tidak semua siswa memiliki, menyebabkan pembelajaran berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul limbah cair tapioka sebagai sumber belajar pada submateri limbah dan untuk mengetahui penerapan modul terhadap hasil belajar. Desain yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian dilakukan pada Semester Gasal tahun ajaran 2013/2014 di SMA N 1 Jakenan. Sampel uji coba pemakaian produk diambil dengan metode convenience sampling. Hasil penilaian pakar terhadap modul yang dikembangkan 91 %, tanggapan siswa mencapai 94 %, guru menanggapi bahwa modul tersebut sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dan semua siswa (100%) telah mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal yang ditetapkan (72). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian modul yang dikembangkan layak dan digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh implementasi model Project Based Learning pada materi pencemaran air terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA, mengetahui tanggapan siswa tentang penggunaan model pembelajaran tersebut, serta mengidentifikasi kesulitan-kesulitan yang muncul. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah True Experiment dengan desain static group pre-test post-test design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan berpikir kreatif, angket siswa, dan hasil observasi pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 2 Indramayu. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Kelas treatmen 1 menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dan diskusi pada kelas treatmen II. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji beda dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, sig 0,000, α= 0,05. Peningkatan tersebut berada pada kategori sedang. This study aimed to examine the effect of the implementation of project-based learning models in the material water pollution of the high school students creative thinking abilities, know the students responses about the use of the learning model, as well as identifying the difficulties that arise. The method used is True Experiment with static design group pre-test post-test design. Data were obtained from the pre-test and post-test creative thinking abilities, student questionnaire, and the observation of learning. Research subjects are students of class X MIA SMAN 2 Indramayu. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. 1 class treatments using Project Based Learning model of learning and discussion in class II treatments. Hypothesis testing is done by using two different test average. The results showed that learning by using Project Based Learning model of a significant effect on the increase in the ability to think creatively, sig 0.000, α = 0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis complex-performance assessment dalam praktikum Biologi siswa kelas X di SMA N 2 Pati, semester gasal tahun ajaran 2015/2016 materi berbagai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental, yang diharapkan dapat menjelaskan profil SMA N 2 Pati, terutama yang berkaitan dengan kompleks kinerja siswa kelas X yang mencakup hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sikap ilmiah siswa, dan kinerja siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan one shot case study. Sampel meliputi siswa kelas X MIA 1, X MIA 2, X MIA 4, X MIA 6, dan X MIA 7. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara cluster random sampling. Jenis data meliputi data hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sikap ilmiah siswa, dan kinerja siswa, serta tanggapan guru maupun siswa terhadap kegiatan yang dinilai menggunakan complex-performance assessment. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa secara klasikal ≥ 90% siswa tuntas KKM. Hasil penilaian sikap ilmiah siswa, secara klasikal berada pada kriteria baik, dengan persentase rata-rata 85,74%. Adapun hasil penilaian kinerja siswa secara klasikal termasuk dalam kriteria baik, dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 80,56%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil kompleks kinerja siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Pati tahun ajaran 2015/2016 pada materi berbagai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia, secara umum berada pada kriteria baik   This study aims to analyze the complex-performance assessment in biology lab class X SMA N 2 Pati, odd semester of 2015/2016 academic year in various levels of Indonesian biodiversity material. This research is quasi experimental reseach, which is expected to explain the profile of SMA N 2 Pati, particularly with regard to the performance of students of class X complex that includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The study design used is the one shot case study. Samples consist of students of class X MIA 1, X MIA 2, X MIA 4, X MIA 6, and X MIA 7. The sampling technique was conducted in cluster random sampling. The type of data including complex data of student performance, cognitif of student learning, as well as teachers and students in response to the activity assessed using complex - performance assessment. The results of students cognitive learning classical showed ≥ 90% students completed KKM. The results of students affective domain, classically located on both criteria, the average percentage of 85.74%. The results of students psychomotor domain, classically located on both criteria, the average percentage of 80.56%. Based on these results, we can conclude that the complex profile of student performance in class X SMA Negeri 2 Pati academic year 2015/2016 at the various levels of biodiversity materials Indonesia, if the terms are generally located on both criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to test the feasibility of the character based adventure education game using the digestive system study materials. The method of this research is Research and Development. The research  media was explored by experts and tested in two stages, i.e:  the stage of small-scale testing and large-scale testing. The subjects of small-scale testing are 20 students of eighth grade in SMP N 1 Wonopringgo and the subjects of large-scale testing  are 2 classes in SMP N 21 Semarang. Data for the media feasibility test was collected from media experts and material experts as well as teachers and students. The media effectiveness was interpreted from student learning outcomes. The student character values were ​​obtained from the tests, assignments and questionnaires. Data analysis showed that the media was feasible and the media was categorized as good. None of the teachers and students responded that lesser than “well” criteria. More than 85.45% of students received learning outcomes of above KKM (80). The results of student character analysis showed more than 75% of  students high scores on each character. It was concluded that the media developed is feasible as a learning media in junior high school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan multimedia game edukasi berbentuk adventure berbasis pendidikan karakter pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Dalam penelitian ini media yang dikembangkan ditelaah oleh pakar dan diujicobakan melalui 2 tahap, yaitu tahap uji coba skala kecil dan uji coba skala besar. Subjek uji coba skala kecil yaitu 20 siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Wonopringgo dan subjek uji coba skala besar yaitu 2 kelas siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 21 Semarang. Data kelayakan media diperoleh dari pakar media dan materi;  guru dan siswa. Data keefektifan media diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa. Data nilai karakter siswa diperoleh dari tes, penugasan dan angket. Hasil analisis kelayakan media menunjukan bahwa media layak digunakan ditunjukkan dari, penilaian oleh ahli media dan ahli materi memperoleh kriteria layak. Guru dan 100% siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat baik dan baik. 85,45% siswa memperoleh hasil belajar diatas KKM (80). Lebih dari 75% siswa memiliki skor karakter yang tinggi pada masing-masing karakter. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah media game edukasi yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di SMP.

Abstract

Ketuntasan nilai UTS kelas X MIPA di SMA N 1 Godong hanya mencapai 50%. Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Menggunakan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Berbasis Guided Discovery diharapkan mampu untuk mengatasi permasalahan hasil belajar peserta didik yang masih rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan materi biologi lebih mudah dipahami, peserta didik dapat terlibat secara langsung dalam proses pembelajaran dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam menemukan konsep materi yang dipelajari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental menggunakan rancangan penelitian Posttest-Only Control Design. Data yang diambil berupa hasil belajar peserta didik, aktivitas peserta didik dan data pendukung kinerja guru, tanggapan peserta didik dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan nilai hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu untuk hasil belajar pengetahuan kelas eksperimen 3,13 sedangkan kelas kontrol 2,83. Berdasarkan hasil uji Mann Whitney pada hasil belajar pengetahuan kedua kelas diperoleh Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < α=0,05 maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD Menggunakan LKPD Berbasis Guided Discovery dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMA N 1 Godong Grobogan Midterm test completeness score of the X graders students of Science in SMA N 1 Godong is only about 50%. Aplication of learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) using students’ worksheet Guided Discovery based is supposed to overcome the student low study result. It’s because of the students will easier learn biology, they can be directly involved in the learning process and participate actively to find the material concept they are going to learn. This research is Quasi Experimental using posttest-Only control design. The taken data is in the form of the students’ study result, students’ activity, and supporting data teachers’ performance. The result shows that there are differences the study result between experimental and control group. For the study result in experimental group is 3,13 while in control group is 2,83. Based on the Mann Whitney experiment in the twelfth knowledge study result, it showed Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < α=0,05, so the differences occured. Regarding to that, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model STAD using students’ worksheet can improve students study result in SMA N 1 Godong Grobogan

Abstract

Abstrak : Telah dilakukan penelitian yang menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing (Guided inquiry) pada 30 siswa dengan desain one group pretest- posttest. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil : (a) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran baik (3,6); (b) Frekuensi aktivitas yang menonjol adalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa (c) respon siswa positif (82); (d) kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat (N-gain; 0,76 dengan kriteria tinggi). Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa penerapan perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing (Guided inquiry) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to get a picture of class VIII students' reasoning in an A accredited school in Palembang City through method of survey. A number (n = 151) of grade VIII students came from four schools. TIMSS Biology Problems used are a matter of reasoning type both in the form of multiple choice and constructive response. The results showed that the reasoning of the students of class VIII had a good performance and showed normal distribution. The achievement of students in solving the problem of multiple choice is better than the matter of constructive response. Students find it difficult to solve a demanding problem for designing an experiment. The results of this research can be used in order to train students to develop the skills of deployment and improvement of quality of Biology learning process in school.   Keyword: Reasoning, TIMSS 2011, Palembang City

Abstract

Limited number of microscope in a school become an obstacle to learning process, including to do anobservation to structure and function of tissue, especially from plants. This research discussed aboutplant tissue. Most students considered that this material was difficult due to limited number ofmicroscope and limited textbook information. Students became bored since the learning material wasdone only by listening and noting teachers’ explanation. The learning process suppose to make themactive, one of the alternative was by Numbered Head Together (NHT). The limited number ofmicroscope can be handled by the picture in picture puzzle. The purpose of this research was toanalyze the effectiveness of NHT with picture puzzle to the activity and learning outcome of studenstin plant tissue structure and function material. This research used pre-experimental with One ShotCase Study. The analysis of data included quantitative data to students’ activity, learning outcome,students’ opinion, and descriptive analysis to teacher’s opinion. The result of this research showed that91% of the students became active and very active. 82% of the students were also passed the score.Teacher and students gave positive reviews to the learning process. Based on the learning outcome, itwas concluded that the cooperative learning of NHT with picture puzzle was effective in increasingstudents’ learning activity and outcome in plant tissue function and structure material.
