Abstract

The Effect of Income, Household Consumption, Social Demographics on the Well-being of Rice Farming Families at Subak Jatiluwih, Desa Jatiluwih, Kecamatan Penebel, Kabupaten Tabanan Farmers have a very important role in all activities in the agricultural sector, therefore farming families must have a prosperous life. There are several factors that affect well-being, namely social demographic characteristics, income, and household consumption. The purpose of this study is to 1) Analyze the influence of demographics on farmer's income 2) Analyze the influence of socio-demography on farmer household consumption 3) Analyze the effect of income on farmer household consumption 4) Analyze social influence on farmer's family well-being 5) Analyze the effect of income on well-being farming family 6) Analyze the effect of household consumption on the well-being of farming families. Collecting data using a closed questionnaire using descriptive analysis methods and SEM-PLS. The results of this study showed a significant effect on all relationship variables specified in the research objectives. Based on the results of the study, suggestions that can be given related to this research are that it is hoped that farmers can take advantage of the socio-demographic characteristics of the family in order to increase the income and well-being of the farmer's family, it is hoped that farmers can increase their income and allocate their income for useful things, and it is hoped that farmers can optimize household consumption and reduce consumption of things they feel are not really needed.

Abstract

Adoption of Side Cleft Grafting Technology Innovations in Cocoa Rejuvenation by Farmers Subakabian Padma Sari, Kec. Melaya, Kab. Jembrana Subakabian Padma Sari is one of the farmer groups that has implemented unproductive cocoa rejuvenation using side grafting technology innovations side cleft grafting in cocoa rejuvenation. The research was conducted from January to March 2021 in Subakabian Padma Sari, Nusasari Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency. Sampling using simple random sampling technique with the calculation of the formula Slovin, the research sample is 50 farmers. Methods of data collection through in-depth interviews and structured interviews (questionnaires), then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the characteristics of farmers in Subakabian Padma Sari have an average age belonging to productive age, education level at high school level, experience in cocoa farming, small number of family dependents, narrow land area, small population of cocoa trees, and most of them cultivate. follow-up clone varieties. The stages of the adoption process of side-grafting technology innovations have a graph of decreasing stages from the conscious stage to the adoption stage. The pace of innovation adoption is slow, which is influenced by six factors, namely: the nature of innovation is moderate, the type of decision making is good, the nature of the target is slow, the communication channel is good, the social system is good, and the role of reforming agents is moderate. Cocoa farmers in Subakabian Padma Sari should spend more time on cocoa cultivation, because side-grafting technology innovations can increase production yields, thereby increasing farmers' income. Extension workers should be more aggressive in introducing side-grafting technology innovations, by providing intensive assistance to farmers, paying attention to the innovation decision process starting from the conscious stage to adopting the innovation given. The innovator should disseminate side-grafting technological innovations by showing evidence of success that other farmers can observe directly.

Abstract

The Effect of Perum BULOG’s Market Operation towards Rice Price Stability in the Province of Bali Rice as a strategic food commodity has an important role in improving food security and stabilizing the economic, social, and political aspects of the Bali Province people. The stability of rice price is one of the problems considered and finds a way out by the government. To stabilize the rice price, the Government through The Division of Regional Logistics Agency of Bali (BULOG Divre Bali) conducted Rice Market Operations. The purpose of this study was to perceive, (1) the condition of retail price stability of medium quality rice and (2) the effect of BULOG’s Rice Market Operation in 2015-2017. The method of data collection in this study used the study literature, interview, and documentation. The data analysis method used coefficient of variation and descriptive analysis. The results showed that in 2015-2017 the price stability of medium rice in The Province of Bali was quite stable. BULOG’s Rice Market Operations had effect on stabilizing the rice price at the consumer level in Province of Bali. In order to increase the effectiveness of the Rice Market Operations activities in stabilizing the rice price in Bali Province, BULOG needs to be more selective in choosing the location of Rice Market Operations and there needs to be good coordination between the government and BULOG so the Rice Market Operation activities is effective in stabilizing rice prices in The Province of Bali.

Abstract

The Effect of Banyuatis Coffee Product Diversification on Profitability in CV Pusaka Bali Persada The Influence of Product Diversification of Banyuatis Coffee on Profitability of CV Pusaka Bali Persada Diversification is a company strategy to add new products that are related to existing products. Analysis of the factors affecting profitability is very important considering that many companies went bankrupt due to unhealthy finances. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Banyuatis coffee product diversification on the profitability of CV Pusaka Bali Persada. 10 product samples were obtained by using purposive sampling method. In addition, this study analyzes the company's financial statements from 2009–2018. CV. Pusaka Bali Persada diversifies its products in terms of packaging and types of coffee produced. Types of packaging are divided into three, namely packages of 40, 150 and 200 grams. The results of the analysis confirm that there is a positive and significant influence between diversification and company’s profitability. Based on SPSS data processing, the resulting F value (count) is 4.10 for 10 samples. With F count of 7.659, which means F (count) > F (tabel) (7,659> 4,10), the drop test on the H0 and H1 reports is accepted for the hypothesis. In conclusion, this research shows that there is a positive influence between product diversification and company’s profitability in the period 2009 to 2018.

Abstract

Rice Farming Insurance (AUTP) at Subak Gede Penarungan The agricultural sector is a sector that has an important role for the Indonesian economy. However, the agricultural sector is currently facing various risks including climate change. Rice Farming Insurance (AUTP) is an alternative systematic risk sharing issued by the government of Indonesia since October 2015. The AUTP program is an implementation of Law no. 19 of 2013 concerning the protection and empowerment of farmers. The decree is followed by the issuance of Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number 40 of 2015 concerning the facilitation of agricultural insurance. Subak Penarungan is one of the subaks in Mengwi District, Badung Regency with the largest proportion of the land areas insured in the regency. This study focuses its analysis on the benefits of rice farming insurance by using quantitative descriptive method, which compares the AUTP claim funds with production costs in one growing season. The responses of farmers on the AUTP program are further analyzed using qualitative descriptive method. This research is expected to contribute to literature in agribusiness, especially on rice farming.

Abstract

Analysis Cost of Production of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) at Ajamu Palm Oil Mill PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Determination of the cost of production is important for a company, to classify costs appropriately. As happened in Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Ajamu where the company did not calculate the cost of goods and did not know their profit because of the finances regulated by the PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of cost of production and the amount of profit that occurred at PKS Ajamu PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV during 2020. The research method used was full-costing, namely the method of determining the cost of production that calculates all elements of the cost of raw materials, direct labor costs and overhead costs, both variable and fixed. The results show that the components of production costs consist of raw material costs, labor costs and factory overhead costs in CPO production. The cost of producing CPO using the 2020 method is Rp. 200.993.735.153/year. PKS Ajamu produces CPO in 2020 amounting to 36.386.265 kg, based on total production and total production costs, this study obtained the cost of production of Rp 5.523,89/kg. With a CPO selling price of IDR 8.165/kg, the profit obtained by PKS Ajamu PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV in 2020 is IDR 96.100.118.572/year.

Abstract

Analysis of Consumer Willingness to Pay for Various Types of Organic Rice in Denpasar City (Case Study at Satvika Bhoga Shop, Sanur) Currently, the need for organic rice is increasing along with changes in people's lifestyles that are healthier. The relatively expensive price of organic rice triggers consumer attraction that forms the segmentation of the organic rice market and consumer behavior in buying or paying for organic food products above the selling price of non-organic food. This study aims to describe consumer market segmentation, analyze consumers' willingness to pay for organic rice and analyze the factors that influence consumers' willingness to pay for organic rice. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis, Contingent Valuation Method dan Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square. The sample in this study were 150 respondents who are consumers of Satvika Bhoga Shop in Sanur. The results showed that the consumer market segmentation in demographic segmentation is more likely to make a major contribution in determining the value of Willingness to Pay. Somya Pertiwi Red Organic Rice is the most popular with an average WTP value of Rp6.720 per kg. The variables of income, product quality, product price, product safety and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on Willingness to Pay for various types of organic rice at the Satvika Bhoga Shop in Sanur. Based on the original sample value, the research shows that the factor that most influences Willingness to Pay is product security.

Abstract

Revenue Sharing System and Farmer Satisfaction Level in Sukamakmur Village, East Telukjambe District, Karawang Regency, West Java Revenue sharing system is an agreement made between farmers and landowners or concerned. One of the villages that runs the revenue sharing system is Sukamakmur Village Java with an area of 2.81 km2. The purpose of this research is to know the revenue sharing system that is running and the satisfaction of farmers over the revenue sharing system run in Sukamakmur Village. The research was conducted qualitatively by collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The result of the research is the revenue sharing system run in Sukamakmur Village is 1:1 revenue sharing with capital derived from farmers, revenue sharing is done when farmers have sold grain to middlemen. The rights and obligations that farmers have during the work of the land that is farmers must carry out their farming in the land in accordance with the type of crops that have been agreed and farmers can insure crops on the land to the chairman of the farmer group. Judging from the satisfaction of farmers regarding the revenue sharing system run by farmers are not satisfied with the condition of the cultivated land and cost effectiveness, and satified with the position of farmers as farmers, and the authority owned as farmers to the land. It can be concluded that farmers are less satisfied with the results received because sometimes it is not enough to pay for a living and return capital. The advice that can be given in this study is that farmers who make a written agreements, farmers using combine harvester machine, changing the revenue sharing or leasing land, using agricultural cooperatives, doaing rotation and security of agricultural land.

Abstract

Profile of Lotus Flower Farmers in Subak Duaji, Sibanggede Village, Abiansemal Sub-District, Badung Regency of Bali Province The rapid development of lotus flower plantations in Subak Duaji is certainly very influential on the parties involved in the management of farming, namely farmers. The success of farmers can be measured by the ability of farmers to manage their farms. The motivation behind this examination is to analyze the profile of lotus flower farmers through inside and outside qualities of farmers, farmers income and the obstacles faced by farmers. The research was conducted in Subak Duaji, Sibanggede Village with 53 respondents. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the analysis show that the land is managed by the farmers themselves, with family labor, the capital comes from the farmers themselves, with their own agricultural tools and machines, the age of the lotus farmer is the production level, the number of dependents in the family is less than 3 people, the education level is high school, the average area of land is 30.4 acres, have experience in farming between 5-10 years. There is no counseling to lotus farmers, information and communication media are obtained between farmers, the role of the government is available, with flower marketing done by direct marketing to consumers. The average net income of farmers from lotus farming is IDR 18.067.751/30.4 Are/year. Constraints faced by farmers are the lack of water availability during irrigation improvements upstream, the lack of consumers to buy lotus flowers on the day and the constraints of the presence of pests that attack plants. This farming is quite profitable.

Abstract

Farmer Behavior Towards Rice Farming Insurance Program (Case in Subak Pangkung Jajung, Baler Bale Agung Village, Negara District, Jembrana Regency) Subak Pangkung Jajung is a farmer group that participates in the Rice Farming Insurance program to protect farmers from the risk of crop failure that occurs in farming. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of farmers towards the AUTP program. This research was conducted from December 2020 to February 2021 in Subak Pangkung Jajung in Baler Bale Agung Village, Negara District, Jembrana Regency. The research sample amounted to 60 farmers with data collection methods through in-depth interviews and structured interviews (questionnaires), then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the behavior of farmers who took part in the AUTP Program was quite good. The behavior of the farmers is formed on the condition of the behavioral components, namely the general knowledge of farmers about the AUTP program is high, farmers both have a very agreeable attitude towards the AUTP program, and the implementation of the AUTP program by farmers who follow the program is classified as good. Subak Pangkung Jajung farmers need to carry out persuasive counseling on the AUTP program to farmers who have not participated in the program, so that their knowledge and attitudes that are classified as good can continue to be real actions following the program. Provisions for claims from the AUTP Program related to the level of damage to farming businesses that receive compensation need to be reviewed. Where the damage rate of 75% is considered too high, so that farmers participating in the AUTP program are difficult to obtain compensation.
