Abstract

Abstrak The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the initial planning of compensation management at SMA N 1 Mayong Jepara. This research approach is a qualitative approach with a explorative case study design. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation by eight participants which included the principal, six teachers and an education staff. The results of this study indicate that the initial planning of compensation management at SMA N 1 Mayong Jepara is (1) planning compensation management objectives, where the main purpose of compensation management planning is for the welfare of teachers and education staff. (2) planning a compensation management strategy, where the specific compensation management strategy is to build a work culture of MEJENG SEKSI to achieve school goals so that teachers and education staff improve work quality. The benefit of this research is to provide insight into management related education compensation management planning in improving the quality of teacher work at the high school level and used as a reference and evaluation materials evaluation material in improving the quality of teacher work. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of customer expectations and marketing mix on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervention at SMK Al-Ittihad. All activities carried out by a school will ultimately lead to students' value regarding their perceived satisfaction. If student satisfaction is realized, loyalty to school is also manifested. This study's population were all SMK Al-Ittihad Boarding School Jungpasir, Wedung, Demak in the 2020/2021 academic year, with the sampling technique being the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. The path analysis results (Path Analysis) show that there is a significant influence between the variable Customer Expectations and the Marketing Mix partially on Customer Satisfaction with the Sig. <0.05. Directly there is a significant influence between the variable Customer Expectations and Customer Satisfaction with Customer Loyalty with the Sig Value. <0.05, and there is no significant influence between the Marketing Mix variable and Customer Loyalty with the Sig. 0.778> 0.05. Customer Expectations directly affect Customer Loyalty with the direct effect value is greater than the indirect effect value (0.507> 0.316). Marketing Mix directly affects Customer Loyalty with the greater direct effect value than the indirect effect value (0.013> -0.201). This research is useful as input in the development of management science, especially in marketing management.

Abstract

Teachers’ performances that had not been maximum required more attention. Teachers’ performances were influenced by several factors, such as academic supervision, principal leadership, and performance motivation. Higher academic supervision, principal leadership, and teacher performance motivation would lead to better performance. This research aims to analyze the academic supervision and principal leadership through performance motivation as a mediator toward the Publics Islamic JHS teachers' performance in Demak Regency. The applied approach in this research was quantitative. The research population consisted of the teachers of Public Islamic JHS in Demak Regency. The sampling data technique was purposive sampling. The applied data analysis techniques were descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The findings showed that academic supervision, principal leadership, and performance motivation were correlated directly to teachers’ performance. The academic supervision and principal leadership did not have a direct effect moderated by performance motivation toward teaches’ performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine basic literacy in teaching and learning activities for grade I elementary schools in Jepara. The research used a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods using data collection techniques such as observation, interview and documentation. The research subjects were school principals and grade I teachers of SDN 1 Kalipucangwetan. The results of the study explain that basic literacy in teaching and learning activities in class I has a role as (1) activities that help achieve learning objectives. Literacy activities can be placed in the core activities of the lesson plan. The teacher designs learning activities as well as literacy activities (2) Media literacy can be a learning medium. The media used by the teacher is in the form of media that can be good teaching aids for literacy activities that are combined with teaching and learning activities. (3) The materials used for literacy are the same as class I subject matter, especially in alphabet, phoneme and vocabulary materials. Teaching materials that become literacy materials are adjusted to the pleasant first class characteristics

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of pedagogic competence, academic supervision, work environment on teacher performance through work motivation as an intervening variable in SMK Negeri Kabupaten Batang. Teacher performance is the result of work or work performance carried out by a teacher based on his ability to manage teaching and learning activities in the classroom. The population in this study were all State Vocational School teachers in Batang Regency as many as 277 people. The sample size of the study sample was 160 teachers. Sampling was done by proportional random sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire which first tested its validity and reliability. Data analysis for hypothesis testing used path analysis and Sobel test to test the mediating variables. The results showed: (1) Pedagogic competence, academic supervision, work environment, have a direct effect on work motivation, the effect is positive and significant. (2) Pedagogic competence, academic supervision, and work environment have a direct and indirect effect on teacher performance by mediating work motivation, the effect is positive and significant. Professional guidance provided by principals to teachers is an effort that provides opportunities for teachers to develop professionally so that they are even better in carrying out their main task of teaching in the classroom. These teachers become able and willing to improve and enhance the learning abilities of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the direct and indirect effect of the principal leadership, school culture and teacher pedagogic competence on teacher performance through work motivation as an intervening variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with path analysis as the data analysis. The sample of this research is 114 students, consisting of 8 public high schools in Pati Regency and taken using proportionated cluster random sampling. Questionnaires were used as the research instrument. The results show that leadership, school culture, teacher pedagogical competence, and work motivation directly affected teacher performance. While on the indirect effect, work motivation was able to mediate the effect of leadership, school culture and pedagogic competence on teacher performance. The conclusion is that there is a direct effect of principal leadership, school culture and teacher pedagogic competence on teacher performance, and indirectly, work motivation is able to mediate the effect of the independent variables to the dependent one.

This research aimed to analyze the iimprovement in students’ conceptual iunderstanding iafter guided inquiry ilearning iwith imind imapping. The research method used quasi experimental iwith nonequivalent control group design. The iresearch implemented to 4th igrade istudents iof iSD Negeri Tlogowungu 01 iand SD Negeri Tlogowungu 03, Pati iRegency. iThe idata icollection techniques were idocumentation, observation, iand conceptual understanding itest in ithe iform of essay. The idata iwere ianalyzed iby igain iscore test iand T-test. ihe iresult irevealed ithat there iwas significant improvement in istudents’ conceptual understanding after iguided iinquiry ilearning iwith imind imapping. There iwas significant idifference in ithe iaverage iscores of conceptual understanding between the experimental class iand the icontrol iclass with isignification irate 5% iwith ithe iN-Gain iof iexperimental iclass iwas 0.85 which included in ihigh category while the control class was 0.51 which included in medium category. The result of independent test stated there was a difference between the experimental class and ithe icontrol iclass ishowed iby significance ivalue iof i0.003 i<0.05. iIt ishows ithat ithere iwas ian improvement in istudents’ iconceptual understanding after iguided inquiry learning with imind mapping. This iresearch ican be iused ias contribution of thoughts ito iimprove the ieducation quality in general and istudents’ achievements in specific.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the role of the principal as an innovator, motivator, and collaborator in the implementation of school-based management at SMP Nasima Semarang. This research approach is a qualitative approach with a holistic descriptive. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this research were principals, vice principals, teachers, and school committees. The results of this study indicate that the role of the principal as an innovator, motivator, and collaborator in the implementation of school-based management at SMP Nasima Semarang is (1) as an innovator must have different, unique, and superior ideas (2) as a motivator must have a strategy in providing education ( 3) as collaborators must be able to involve all parties in providing education (4) the ability of school principals to manage professionally is the key to the successful implementation of school-based management (5) the participation of all parties results in transparency and accountability of parents of students towards the implementation of education

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the principal's leadership strategy on the professional competence of teachers to improve the quality of education. This study also seeks to identify various obstacles faced in the professional competence of teachers as well as the professional competence of teachers that are suggested in the future in improving the quality of education. The object of this research is SMK Negeri 2 Semarang. While the subjects in this study are teachers, principals, and vice principals. The research method uses qualitative methods. The results of this research indicate that to improve the quality of education at SMKN 2 Semarang is divided into two strategic activities; The first is a formal strategy, namely teachers are assigned by institutions to attend education/training, either by the school itself or by educational/training institutions. The second is a non-formal strategy, namely the teacher for his desire and effort to train and develop himself related to his work or position such as discipline, discussion, and motivation. There are several obstacles faced in developing the professional competence of teachers to improve the quality of education at SMKN 2 Semarang, among others: the lack or limitation of IT mastery in schools and limited time, the lack of teacher creativity in the learning process in the classroom, and the lack of a collection of books or school facilities, and lack of scientific work made by the teacher.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and learning outcomes of biology with character education with Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (T-PACK) approach through PBL model at SMAN 8 Semarang. Covid-19 virus has spread to infect almost all countries in the world. Learning management studies show the need for state readiness in the case of a pandemic in the direction of education. Learning management during covid-19 pandemic was carried out with Project Based Learning (PBL). One of the learning managements that applied was T-PACK model. Based on the results of the previous research, there was very little research on T-PACK development related to character education. The approach in this study was interdisciplinary qualitative with phenomenological approach. The design research was case study. Informants are 2 biology teachers. The technique of checking the validity of the data using Degree of Trust (Credibility), Transferability, Defendability, and Certainty (Confirmability). Data that has been collected from in-depth interviews with informants was processed and then data analysis was carried out. The stages of data analysis have 4 main components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and learning outcomes of biology contained character education with the T-PACK approach through PBL model. The results of this study are expected to be source and study material in increasing knowledge about management of biology learning with character education with help of T-PACK through the PBL model.
