Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif komparatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boyolali, yang kemudian terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu mengikuti bimbingan belajar dan tidak mengikuti bimbingan belajar. Jumlah sampel yaitu sebanyak 100 siswa. Untuk memperoleh sampel yang representatif, maka kelompok siswa yang tidak mengikuti bimbingan belajar diambil sejumlah 50 siswa dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data penelitian diambil menggunakan skala self-efficacy yang terdiri dari 26 aitem. Skala self-efficacy mempunyai koefisien validitas aitem antara 0.315 sampai dengan 0.707 dan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0.924 Metode analisis data menggunakan teknik komparasi T-Test Two Independent Sample dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.0 for windows diperoleh nilai t = 6,230 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada self-efficacy siswa dalam menghadapi ujian nasional antara siswa yang mengikuti bimbinngan belajar dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti bimbingan belajar. Self-efficacy siswa dalam menghadapi ujian nasional yang mengikuti bimbingan belajar lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang tidak mengikuti bimbingan belajar. This study is a comparative quantitative study. The population of this study is the eighth grade students of Junior High School 1 Boyolali, which is then divided into two groups to join and not join the tutoring. Total of samples is 100 students. To obtain a representative sample, the group of students who not joining the tutoring 50 students were taken by simple random sampling technique. The data were taken using the self efficacy scale consisted of 26 item. Self-efficacy scale has a coefficient of item validity between 0.315 to 0.707 and a reliability coefficient of 0924. Methods of data analysis using comparative technique T-Test Two Independent Sample with SPSS 16.0 for Windows was obtained value of t = 6.230 with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), the results showed that there were significant differences in students' self-efficacy in facing national examination among students who joining tutoring with students who not joining the tutoring. Self-efficacy of students who joining the tutoring higher than students who not joining the tutoring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa penerima beasiswa bidik misi Jurusan Psikologi Universitas Negeri Semarang yang berjumlah 66 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling yang berjumlah 66 mahasiswa penerima beasiswa bidik misi. Data penelitian diambil menggunakan skala konsep diri akademik, dengan jumlah item 36 yang valid dengan koefisien alpha cronbach reliabilitasnya sebesar 0,921. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif dengan metode statistik deskriptif prosentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar atau 63,6 persen (42 orang) menyatakan dirinya memiliki konsep diri akademik pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan yang termasuk dalam kriteria sedang sebesar 28,7 persen (19 orang), dan kriteria rendah sebesar 7,7 persen (5 orang). Dari tiga dimensi konsep diri akademik yang diteliti, yaitu dimensi pengetahuan individu mengenai dirinya sendiri, pengharapan individu mengenai dirinya sendiri, dan penilaian individu mengenai dirinya sendiri berada pada kategori yang tinggi. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study is the mission of grantees viewfinder Department of Psychology, State University of Semarang, amounting to 66 people. This study uses total sampling totaling 66 grantees mission viewfinder. The data were taken using academic self-concept scale, the number of valid 36 items with a Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient of 0.921. Data analysis methods used are descriptive data analysis with descriptive statistical methods percentages.The results showed that most or 63.6 per cent (42 people) claimed to have academic self-concept in the high category. While the criteria are included in the 28.7 per cent (19 people), and a low of 7.7 percent criterion (5 people). Of the three dimensions of academic self-concept were investigated, namely the dimension of the individual's knowledge of himself, the individual expectations of himself, and the assessment of the individual himself is in the high category.

Abstract

Adolescence is a turbulent time. This period is the search for self identity, as well as the period in which they deal with the more complex issues of both problems associated with itself or a problem with the environment. Hope every teenager course is to resolve the problem well with others or to the environment. Juvenile delinquency is happening is a form of problem solving using a negative way. Communication in the family works to build the concept of self-actualization and happiness of family members so that family communication has a great influence on the development of adolescent personality. Therefore, this study was to determine the relationship between the quality of communication between children and parents with juvenile delinquency behavior. This research is a quantitative correlation method. This research was conducted at SMK N 3 Salatiga. The sampling technique used is Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. , The data were taken using a scale of quality of communication with the 54-item has validity coefficients between 0.000 up to 0.024 with a reliability that is entered in the high category amounted to 0.959. While the juvenile delinquency questionnaire with 10 items that has a validity coefficient between 0.000 to 0.018 with a reliability of 0.620. The results obtained in this study are the relationship between the quality of communication of children and parents with juvenile delinquency behavior with a value of -0223, which means that the relationship between the quality of communication of children and parents with juvenile delinquency behavior has a negative relationship, if the quality of children's communication and parents increases, the more negative the behavior of juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

The pandemic period resulted in changes to the learning activity system and required students to be able to adapt to these conditions, one of which was how they managed their time in the midst of their busyness in the scope of education when the pandemic was still ongoing. Men and women have different characteristics that can affect their attitudes and behavior. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the time management of high school students in terms of gender during the pandemic. The approach used is quantitative with a comparative design to see the differences. The data collection tool uses the TMBS (Time Management Behavior Scale) scale. The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 3 Semarang with an age range of 15-18 years. The number of samples collected was 163 subjects with stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis method consisted of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with the independent sample T-Test. The results of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the time management of high school students in terms of gender. Overall time management of SMA Negeri 3 Semarang students are in the medium category. In the aspect of setting goals and priorities, in general, male students are higher than female students. In the aspect of planning and scheduling mechanisms and the aspect of preference for being organized, in general, female students are higher than male students.

Abstract

Education has been shifted to a digital environment nowadays. Students must adapt to theimplementation of distance learning. This online learning requires the activeness of students,especially to be independent in learning—self-directed learning. However, with many learningresources on the internet, digital literacy is also needed so that students can carry out their self-directed learning better. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between digitalliteracy and self-directed learning in high school students. This research method is quantitative witha correlational design. The sample for this study used a proportionate stratified random samplingtechnique and obtained as many as 259 1st and 2nd year students from SMAN 6 Semarang. Themeasuring instruments used are the digital literacy scale and the self-directed learning scale, withCronbach's Alpha reliability scores of 0.827 and 0.851, respectively. The results of hypothesis testingare the acceptance of the working hypothesis, so it can be concluded that there is a relationshipbetween digital literacy and self-directed learning. The correlation coefficient obtained is 0.217. Inaddition, descriptively, it is known that the subject's self-directed learning condition is in the mediumcategory and the subject's digital literacy condition is also in the moderate category.

Abstract

A good quality of life, one of which is judged by success. This usually starts from taking education. Various challenges and obstacles faced while studying. One of the psychological variables that play a role in dealing with it is academic grit. Individuals who are consistent with their interests and diligently try are predicted to achieve success more easily. Students who are active in organizations are faced with more diverse academic challenges than those who focus solely on academics. Academic grit in student organizations is being questioned. One of the influencing factors is the growth mindset. The subjects of this study were students who were active in organizations. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The research method uses correlational quantitative. Data obtained through the grit scale and growth mindset. The results of the study show that the growth mindset has an influence on the academic grit of students who join organizations. Further research also examines the amount of growth mindset's effective contribution to academic grit as well as some suggestions for future researchers.

Abstract

Anxiety of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an is response of the body such as feelings of pressure, fear, stress due to activity in memorizing the Surah of Qur'an which is characterized by certain feelings and symptoms that arise. As a result, students have difficulty in memorizing practices, resulting in suboptimal memorization. One solution to overcome this problem is have confidence in yourself be able organize and carry out all actions in order to achieve certain academic goals or called self-efficacy. This study aims determine the relationship between self efficacy and anxiety of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an. This study is a correlational quantitative study with the student population of State Madrasah Aliyah X amounting 940 students. Sampling using simple random sampling techniques was obtained by 269 students. The data collection method uses self-efficacy scale made by researchers and academic anxiety scale of memorizing the results of adaptation (Lailatul Fiqriyah, 2020). Data analysis uses correlational person product moment correlation techniques to test the relationship between two variables. The results showed value (r) of -0.706 with p = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant negative relationship between self efficacy and anxiety of practice of memorizing the Qur'an surah in MAN students in qur'an and hadith lessons. The level anxiety of practice of memorization and self efficacy is in the moderate category. It is recommended for MAN students, one solution to be able reduce anxiety in practice of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an is to increase self-efficacy possessed.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive school policies is increasingly being carried out by various schools, especially public schools which are designated as pilot inclusive schools by the government. However, not all schools are ready to face various needs in implementing inclusive schools. One of them is SD N Sekaran 02 which still needs assistants and training for various teacher competencies in teaching inclusive schools. The activities to be carried out are training in the initial identification of children with special needs and training in the preparation of individual learning designs for children with special needs. The subjects in this study were 9 elementary school teachers. The research design uses one group design with pretest and post-test. The instruments used in this study were the teacher efficacy scale and the RPI knowledge test. Data analysis used Wilcoxon signed rank test analysis with statistical software JASP version 14.0. The results of the analysis showed that the inclusion policy implementation assistance program was effective in increasing teacher knowledge (p<0.05) and teacher efficacy (p<0.05).

Abstract

The level of the emotional health of teacher has been noticed to be on the high side and this affects their performances. This study investigated the effects of emotionally focused therapy on the management of emotional health problems of teachers in Ilorin metropolis. The research design used was quasi-experimental. An experimental design of 2 by 2 factorial matrix which adopts pre-test and post-test treatment was employed in this study. All secondary school teachers in Ilorin metropolis constituted the population for the study while selected secondary school teachers experiencing emotional health problems were the target population for this study. 30 secondary school teachers experiencing mental health problems were sampled for this study. An Emotional Health Problems Scale (EHPS) designed by Warwick-Edinburgh was adopted for this study. Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was the major statistical tool that was employed to test seven hypotheses generated at 0.05 level of significance. The result of the findings revealed that emotional-focused therapy is effective in managing the emotional health problems of teachers in Ilorin metropolis. There were no significant main effects of age or gender on the emotional health of secondary school teachers in Ilorin metropolis. It was also revealed that there were no significant interactive effects of age or gender on the emotional health of secondary school teachers in Ilorin metropolis but significant interactive effects were found on treatment, age and gender on the emotional health of secondary school teachers in Ilorin metropolis. It was recommended that mental health professionals should consider EFT as a valuable therapeutic option for teachers experiencing emotional difficulties. Therapists should consider these demographic factors when implementing EFT and be prepared to adapt their approach accordingly.

Abstract

Principals’ Time Management and School Effectiveness have a positive impact on public secondary schools in Kwara state, Nigeria. The study examines Principals’ Time Management and School Effectiveness in Public Secondary Schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. A descriptive research design of correlation type was adopted for this study. The population of the study was made up of 15,416 teachers and 397 principals in all the 397 public secondary schools in the three senatorial districts that constitute Kwara State (Kwara Central, Kwara North and Kwara South) using a Research-Advisor sample size. The researcher instrument used was titled Principals’ Time Management Questionnaire (PTMQ) and School Effectiveness Questionnaire (SEQ) was used to collect relevant data from the respondents. The data gathered were statistically analyzed using Mean, Standard Deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). The result obtained from the respondents revealed that time planning has a positive impact on schools ‘effectiveness as most principals have adequate time planning for the teachers in the school to enhance their teaching roles in secondary schools in Kwara state, Nigeria. It was concluded that the principal time control, time planning, time evaluation and time utilization have a positive impact on school effectiveness in public secondary schools in Kwara state, Nigeria.
