Abstract

The selection of the optimal method and temperature to accelerate the fixation rate of histological preparations is still ongoing. This study aims to compare the staining quality of histological preparations made by fixation using the 60°C hotplate method for 10 minutes (F60), the 2+2 method (cooling at 4°C for 2 hours and heating at 45°C for 2 hours/FC), and the conventional method (FK). The study used a true experimental posttest-only control group design with liver tissue samples from Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) divided into three treatments (F60, FC, and FK). Data processing used the Pearson Chi-Square test. The results of the statistical test showed that there was a significant difference (p < 0.050) in the quality of tissue preparations between the three fixation techniques (conventional, 60°C hotplate, and 2+2). This indicates that the application of a temperature of 60°C for a short time has not been able to produce optimal tissue preparations. This condition is caused by an imbalance in the fixative penetration rate between the outer tissue and the inner tissue, which is faster than the inner tissue. The conventional tissue fixation method used as a control remains the reference.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the history of Islamic education management in Indonesia during the Dutch colonial period, identify colonial policies that restricted Islamic education development, and describe the adaptive and resistant responses of Muslim scholars and educational institutions. The study also aims to explain the roles of pesantren and madrasah as institutions that not only survived but underwent significant transformation due to colonial pressures, and to reveal the historical contribution of colonial-era Islamic education management as a foundation for post-independence Islamic education. Using a qualitative literature review method with sources primarily published between 2021 and 2026, this study finds that colonial pressures through the Teacher Ordinance and Wild Schools Ordinance paradoxically spurred innovations in the form of modern madrasahs integrating religious and general knowledge. Organizations such as Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama strengthened this educational transformation, making Islamic education not merely a vehicle for religious learning but an instrument of cultural resistance, national consciousness-building, and evidence of Muslim resilience in facing historical challenges.

Abstract

Digital transformation has shifted the marketing paradigm of educational institutions from conventional approaches to social media-based strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of social media-based marketing management as a strategic tool for enhancing the competitiveness of educational institutions in the digital age. The study focuses on three main aspects: the formulation of digital marketing management strategies, the integrated application of the 7P service marketing mix through social media platforms, and its impact on institutional competitiveness. This study used a systematic literature review by examining relevant scientific publications, books, and previous research related to educational marketing, social media management, and institutional competitiveness. The results indicate that well-planned and professional social media management can increase the number of student applicants, strengthen brand awareness, expand communication reach, and build public trust in the institution. Social media also enables schools to present academic programs, institutional achievements, facilities, and educational values more interactively. However, limited digital literacy, human resource capacity, content consistency, and technological infrastructure remain structural barriers that need to be addressed systematically through training, policy support, and sustainable digital innovation practices.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Prince Santri (Prince Kusumadinata I) in the process of Islamization in the territory of the Kingdom of Sumedang Larang. The formulation of the problem includes the role of leadership, socio-cultural impact, the values taught, and the community's response to the spread of Islam. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-historical approach, through observation, interviews, and documentation in the area of the Tomb of Prince Santri (Pasarean Gede), Sumedang Regency. The results of the study show that Islamization takes place through a top-down pattern, where Prince Santri first convinces Ratu Dewi Inten Dewata (Ratu Pucuk Umun) before the teachings of Islam are spread to the wider community. Da'wah is carried out peacefully through friendship, while the marriage of Prince Santri with Ratu Pucuk Umun becomes a mechanism of routine charisma that institutionalizes Islam into the royal structure. This strategy allowed Islam to survive and develop even after the death of Prince Santri. The findings of the study confirm that the Islamization of Sumedang Larang is not only religious, but also political and cultural, with the integration of Islamic values into the royal order. This research contribution enriches the local Islamic historical literature by showing how charismatic leadership and peace strategies can accelerate the process of Islamization in the context of traditional kingdoms.
