Abstract

Global changes and the implementation of Work From Home (WFH) policies require individuals to adapt effectively to evolving workplace dynamics. Internship and fieldwork students transitioning from academic to professional environments often face adaptation challenges. This community service program aimed to enhance participants' understanding of the psychological impacts of changing work systems and adaptive coping strategies through psychoeducation. A one-group pre-test–post-test design was employed involving 23 participants at PT Laksana Bus Manufaktur selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, supervisor feedback, and pre-test and post-test assessments. Results showed an increase in average scores from 7,74 to 9,35, a 20.8% improvement. However, the absence of a control group limits the extent to which this gain can be attributed solely to the intervention. These findings suggest a preliminary improvement in participants' understanding and may serve as a basis for future studies with more rigorous designs.

Abstract

Competition in the job market is increasing, requiring vocational high school graduates to possess adequate work readiness. This study aims to examine the effect of vocational maturity on work readiness, with proactive personality as a moderating variable. This quantitative study involved 235 12th-grade vocational high school students in Semarang who were selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected using scales measuring vocational maturity, work readiness, and proactive personality, and analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that vocational maturity has a significant effect on work readiness (R² = 0,343), while the moderating interaction increases the R² value to 0,384 (p < 0,05), representing a 41% increase. The novelty of this study lies in examining the moderating role of proactive personality among vocational high school students. These findings underscore the importance of career guidance services in vocational high schools in fostering students’ proactive personality.

Abstract

Generation Z is known to have a high tendency to change jobs, so it is important to understand the factors that influence this intention. This study aims to identify the dominant factors that influence the intention to change jobs, both from internal work pressure and perceptions of external opportunities, particularly among Generation Z employees in Indonesia. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with purposive sampling techniques, involving 181 respondents. The research instruments included the Turnover Intention Scale, Job Stress Scale, and PAJO Scale. The analysis was performed using multiple linear regression through Jamovi. The results show that the regression model is significant (p < 0.001; F = 105; R² = 0.542), indicating that Job stress and perceived alternatives job opportunities simultaneously contribute 54.2% to the variation in turnover intention. These findings show that internal pressures and external opportunities equally increase Generation Z's tendency to leave their jobs.

Abstract

University students are in the emerging adulthood phase, characterized by increasing demands to prepare for careers and determine future directions. However, the high unemployment rate among university graduates in Indonesia indicates that students' career readiness remains suboptimal. One critical process in career preparation is career exploration, defined as the process of gathering information about oneself and the work environment to support career decision-making. This study aims to examine the influence of parental social support and family socioeconomic status on university students' career exploration. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving 205 active undergraduate students selected through purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the relationships among the research variables. The results indicate that parental social support and family socioeconomic status simultaneously exert a significant influence on students' career exploration (R² = 0.185; F = 22.957; p < .001), jointly accounting for 18.5% of the variance in career exploration. These findings suggest that psychosocial support from parents plays a more dominant role than family economic conditions in shaping students' career exploration.
